We didn't go off the beaten path, since I hadn't been here in a long time, and we opted for Patty Melt and the Mino Burger. Both were plenty good, AND you can have that burger served as a single or a double, depending on your ability to eat/appetite. This is a great way-point for my travels to Wisconsin, and I will certainly be back. It's right on Main Street, you can't miss it.

I normally don't consume such a carb-heavy meal. I blame having a breadstick, zuppa toscana, and a large portion of chicken marsala fettuccine. After running a couple of errands after lunch, I decided to do a day trip down to Rochester and northern Iowa. Well, the carb coma kicked in. I was yawning midway between Blaine and Rochester. I knew that I needed to pull over and take a nap. I needed to be alert while driving. I had never been to Cannon Falls before. It was the home of Midwest of Cannon Falls, which sold s'mores ornaments and figures. I loved them so much and still have many, including a small s'mores lamp. I had always wanted to visit the store in this town, but I could easily buy products from this place in Rochester as a resident. Well, that business got bought out by some larger company years ago. Midwest of Cannon Falls moved away from Cannon Falls. I never thought that I'd drop by Cannon Falls to take a nap at a gas station. It was exactly what I did. This gas station has a decent number of gas pumps. I was looking at parking. All parking spots are closest to the actual store, all in a row. I parked on the far left. It was a cold day, so I had to keep my rental car running to keep me warm. With my doors locked, I closed my eyes and dozed off for twenty minutes. I woke up. There was a car parked a couple of spots away from me. It wasn't there before I snoozed away. I felt refreshed and energized after my nap. I was fine for the rest of the day. There are many Casey's gas stations in Minnesota and Iowa. I believe that it's a midwest company. It is known for its taco pizza. I need to give it a try the next time I come across a Casey's. I am thankful that I could pull over at this gas station and take a nap. I never thought that I'd sleep through my first visit to Cannon Falls, but nothing is dull with me... haha! (131)

My only complaint is that the grill is an open concept in the bar area so you see everything being prepared. I was shocked to see the grill cook handle all the food items with bare hands. Well, 5 stars for a Mickey D's They consistently serve food that is incredibly hot! Delicious. Probably exactly what the corporate taste-testers get when they "up vote" something. And at these not-busy times, the person at the first window chats for a moment while the person at the second window prepares your order. This wasn't my opinion after one visit. Ironically, I stop here after being at out-patient services. If you get here and there is a long line, just like anywhere else, the wait time goes up and general food quality and temperature go down. People still only have 2 hands. But all the people working here have been very nice.

The floors are so uneven and being held together with what looks like hot glue. From the day we came to rehearsal, the event coordinator wears all her emotions on her face and looked disgusted and fed up the entire time. Then next day is the wedding, same attitude, there's sliding barn doors and one accidentally came off and she flipped out, cursing at a guest who was just trying to help put it back up. Next, so I do not drink alcohol, but it was a special day so we decided to get the bride and groom some personal liquor gifts and then I got a bottle of vodka to do a celebration shot with the wedding party before we walked out the doors. It was put away in a CLOSED, non see through storage container. So We go outside, do the ceremony, come in an not only were all of the gifts taken, they took the bottle of vodka and then decided to roam through all of my PERSONAL BELONGINGS as well!! Then when we came in clearly looking for it, thinking someone came in and was stealing peoples things.... The coordinator and her husband sat behind the bar, giggling amongst themselves, knowing THEY are the ones who took it and knew we were looking for it. They never mentioned "oh we found this and you can't have liquor....". That would have been completely understandable, but they went in our personal things , took our belongings and held them until the end of the night. Their excuse for going and taking it was that "there's kids around and we can't have open liquor." But like I said it was in the bridesmaid CLOSED room, in a solid color storage tote, that people weren't even allowed back in and they took it upon themselves to initially steal from us!! I would never, ever recommend this place!!! The service was horrible and the prices do not match with what they're providing!! If there was a negative score, I'd have given it. The only thing nice about the place was the wedding we had there!!
