He really encouraged everyone, especially dads to get involved at school. We had many special events over the years. From dances, to movie nights, to bingo it was all awesome! The PTA and the Odell families really do a great job working together for the good of the students. I am thankful to the school and to the teachers my son had over those three years. She came home singing and smiling on the very first day! Her vocabulary has exploded. Her attitude is much more cooperative. When she is mastering a new concept, you can see her little mind thinking. She has become very helpful in cleaning up after herself. Her consideration for others feelings is astounding! These things are just the tip of the iceberg when trying to caption everything she has learned at Kids 'R' Kids in Concord. This was the best move we could have ever made for our child! The office staff and the teachers are just lovely. Our principal is very fun and cares about the school and students. Bingo night was a fantastic event!! The Odell families and PTA have such a great relationship. They are always having events and pride nights for the kids. The car rider line is MUCH improved compared to the one at the Primary school. I love the layout of the school itself. Each grade has a designated hall. It was much easier for our third grader to remember how to get to his class on the first day than ever before. I am thankful the playground has a sun cover over it because that North Carolina sun is no joke.

We left the school in August 2025 and have yet to receive our deposit refund in April 2026. We have had several people promise us that the accounting team is "working hard to process all refunds" & have yet to get anything more than empty promises & the runaround. We have resorted to hiring an attorney to sue them for breach of contract since they have far exceeded the time stated for processing our refund. If you care about your money, take your child somewhere else.

I always felt a sense of magic whenever I walked the woods, gazed at the pond, and saw the joy on each child's face on the nature playground! I was always in awe of the unique activities and ideas flowing through the children and teachers! Ms. Carolyn is such an incredible soul who values children and offers each of them an invitation to receive an incredible love of learning. The foundational skills of curiosity, social interaction, creativity, exploration, and problem solving are rock solid after my child's preschool experience. His connection to nature and love for science couldn't be more beautiful. There is no other preschool in our area that comes close to this unique forest school experience. In addition, we took advantage of the summer camp offerings and birthday party packages as well!! We drove 25 min between our home and the school. It is worth every moment of commuting to give my child such a rich childhood experience. I plan to continue my relationship with Woodland Discovery when my youngest is old enough to begin!!
