I had been seeing Doctor Cano until his untimely passing last year. I was exceptionally pleased with his care on every level. His wife, Doctor Manning has done a phenomenal job in adapting the practice to their new reality. I had my first visit with Dr. Manning yesterday. While different in her own way, she exhibits every bit of the care, professionalism and personal attentiveness that I valued so much in Dr. Cano. Additionally, my girlfriend visited Dr Manning with an emergency issue and was immediately diagnosed and sent to a "same day" appointment with a retina specialist who saved her vision. The staff welcomed me warmly, as they knew me from when I was bringing a disabled friend for her twice monthly visits. I just called to make an appointment and the lady who answered claimed that my insurance was NOT accepted by your office WITHOUT even checking it. All I heard from her was We Don't We Don't We Don't We Don't. My insurance is indeed accepted by your office and that is the ONLY reason why I called to make an appointment. My provider referred me to this office. I decided to just say forget it and not make an appointment. The thought of having this individual checking me in and having this attitude toward me and my child the day of my appointment, gives me a headache. I could not post without entering a "star"... This office deserves NO STARS!!! Stay clear! This is the worst service ever. Be very careful if "bait and switch" billing practices. Make sure to ask very specific questions. Phone/counter staff is rude and terse. When trying to request faxed contact prescription would not make any accommodation for missing "expiration" date by 19 days?!? I would NEVER refer anyone to this office. read more

It has been approximately four years since Mom has been traveling from the U S Virgin Islands to West Palm Beach, Florida for her successful and pleasant surgery. I went to the Cano Manning Eye Center while in Florida because they were so highly recommended to me. My eye care by this team of Doctors, was absolutely outstanding. Their staff is highly experienced and pleasant. I had a complicated eye situation and badly needed cataract surgery. I had had Lasik surgery many years ago, as well as two torn retinas. My eye were very red and irritated and I had severe astigmatism. Intentionally, I gave up driving because I no longer believed I could drive safely. I did not want to risk causing an accident. I was asked about my goals for the surgery. The Doctors listened carefully as I explained my goals were to drive to my many activities and to easily read books. I was not an easy patient. There was no rush to surgery! The Doctors explained that the eye redness and irritation were due to allergy and extreme dryness. They explained I would require treatment before surgery could even be considered. I wore a painless contact bandage on each eye (one at a time) to help absorb healing medication. I also was prescribed eye drops. The treatment was very effective over a period of several weeks. Once again my eyes felt comfortable. Cataract surgery could then be scheduled. My eye were examined and reexamined. Thorough, customized testing was done. The goal was to choose the best new lenses for my eyes, taking my astigmatism into account, Both Doctors are perfectionists. Dr. Cano did the surgery on each eye, two weeks apart. There was absolutely no pain. I liked that the Doctors prayed with me before surgery. The Surgery Center staff was very kind and I could tell they had great respect for Dr. Cano. Dr. Cano is an amazing surgeon. All the many awards he has received are very justified,. I now see 20/25 with both eyes and drive confidently, even at night. I happily continue my hobby of reading. Follow up care was as meticulous as the surgery preparation. I am so grateful! I have my "eyes back!" It is no wonder this is a busy practice. read more
