Went for an eye exam today (and my wife also was a patient today); while there the receptionist was very rude, and so where the assistants. Somehow they all acted like they could not be bothered to be asked or inquired for assistance or asked questions! The doctor seemed to be in a hurry! I do not recommend this office, service individuals that act like they do not want you to be there! I was there to be a patient, not a money cash machine! My father had a slight glaucoma and was told the situation would be monitored but nothing to do yet. I am diabetic and both doctors really checked for blood clots, etc. Very nice doctors!! I called them late Sunday and they said call back early Monday, but they called me first and got me right in. Dr V saw me three times and alleviated my pain and fixed me right up with drops. I was very grateful that they saw me right away immediately, knew what it was and prescribed the right medicine for me and got me out of my burning pain with speed! As a millennial who still relies on friendly reminders from my mother to make sure I'm taking care of myself, I booked an eye exam with For Eyes thinking I'd get a quick exam, a contact lens prescription for the year, and be good until the following year. Boy was I in for a surprise. I left For Eyes with $79 spent and a bad contact prescription I could barely see out of while driving home. When I called for a follow-up to fix the prescription, I was given an appointment further out than I preferred, especially since I was out of contacts and only had one ill-fitting pair. The next day at work I began to feel irritation in my right eye, removed my contact for relief, and the irritation persisted. I knew MedExpress or a walk-in clinic wouldn't help, so at 7 a.m. Wednesday I logged into my insurance platform to find a more well-versed eye care facility. Mittleman Eye came up in my search, and by 8 a.m. I was sitting in their office prepared to figure out what was going on. The facility is beautiful, well staffed, and very clean. I was greeted by friendly employees and felt like my issue was handled with thought and care. My appointment wasn't rushed, and the doctors and nurses quickly identified my issue and offered solutions to address my eye pain. I was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer in my right eye, and the doctors were very informative about what treatment would look like over the next few days and they started me on antibiotic drops. Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, I realized my prescriptions still hadn't been filled. After calling the pharmacy, I learned they weren't processing it because the number of doses per day was missing. I called the emergency after-hours line, worried I wouldn't be able to continue antibiotics until after work the next day. Not only did a doctor call me back within the hour (8 p.m.), he called Publix pharmacy directly, and they had my prescription ready in 10 minutes! Just in time for me to pick it up before closing and get a few rounds of drops in before bed. My follow up appointment today was scheduled for 2:30pm. I was seen by the doctor around 3:50pm. An excruciating wait but I was notified that they were behind when I was checked in. However, when I was seen I experienced the same informative, kind and friendly service as before. Although having a corneal ulcer is one of the worst imaginable experiences, Mittleman Eye has handled me with so much care. I am incredibly grateful I found them. Once my eye has healed, I fully intend to remain a patient and receive my ongoing eye care here.

Person who answered the phone seemed super nice but…read more.. - First question- what's your insurance? - I tell her eye med- she says we don't take vision insurance- what's your medical insurance...BCBS - she asks HMO or PPO? - I tell her I'm not sure maybe an HMO? And she quickly tells me we don't take that either. Wow shut down at every turn. I actually just checked my insurance and it is a PPO. So if she just would've double checked or asked me to check my card I probably would've made an appointment. Now I'll never call this place back again and based on my experience, I can't recommend it either. I hope you have better luck with this place.

It is truly amazing and the procedure was quick and painless (though you couldn't have told my nerves that the day I had it done). If you are on the fence about visiting Katzen Laser, DO IT. I did a lot of research before finally making the call for an evaluation and my only regret is not doing it sooner. I wouldn't trust my eyes anywhere else. ALL requests are immediately and efficiently handled. The physician returns phone calls promptly and staff members get me instant answers to questions. The office is immaculately clean as well as beautifully and comfortably appointed. The staff is pleasant, professional and highly competent. Few physicians realize how much damage an inept staff does to their reputation and thus their income. The Office Manager, Joe, is simply amazing, I am ashamed to say that, if I still owned my business, I would try to hire him. I have some difficult health issues and have received the best and most conscientious care possible. Dr. Lipari correctly adjusted my medications when I first became his patient and recently took excellent care of me through two bouts of Covid and a complicated and not overly successful hip replacement resulting in painful bed sores. He is available 24/7 and watches every detail of my health issues. He is likable, compassionate, professional and never arrogant, a not uncommon trait in many competent and highly respected physicians. An average appointment is an hour and he is never rushed.
