There was a bit of a wait to start including our city building department which was backed up. Once underway Dylan was an absolute pleasure to work with. He devoted all his energy to making it (a messy job) as seamless as possible. He worked diligently and efficiently to complete the job in a timely manner. When we asked him how much it would be to expand the scope of work by tearing out the surrounding hardscape and concrete patio, as well as an 8' high wood fence, he quoted us a very fair price and we proceeded. It was a complex job doing the demo around the existing posts of the patio cover which we wanted to keep. When the job proved more complicated due to the extra thick reinforced slab I offered to pay extra due to the amount of debris and extra work it took. He told me that it wasn't necessary, and honored his quote. Additionally, he took care of the coordination with the city and the soils engineer. As homeowners, having never gone through this process, we appreciated his experience and taking it off our hands. We easily passed final inspection :) You cannot go wrong with Casper's Demolition! It all began when Felipe visited to provide an estimate, and he observed, similar to my other contractors, that the entrance for the bobcat was quite limited at 36 inches. He confirmed that his bobcat also measures 36 inches, which I was already aware of. However, he examined the gas meter, which was protruding, and suggested that the great miracle worker Salvador might maneuver the bobcat through by slightly adjusting the meter and squeezing it in just enough. It impressed me because the other contractors had stated that it was impossible and that we would need to demolish the six-foot wide block wall on the other side of my house and reconstruct it afterward. I was not fond of that option because of the expense and time involved. When the skilled and incredible Salvador and his crew began their work, their method of tackling the job amazed me. They seemed genuinely happy and enjoyed their tasks. I have a feeling that the energetic Mr. Salvador set up a competition to discover the best performer of the day, potentially offering a prize for their hard work. Walter worked with us to pick the right product and colors. We went with Shinnoki real wood veneer panels. They are beautiful and durable. Once they got the veneer up, they routed then hand-filed all of the openings. Then that meticulously painted the face frames to match the veneer. They even painted around the drawers where you can see very little of the painting they did. That shows a lot of pride! Walter also gave us the look of frameless cabinets even though we would have had to replace the cabinet boxes in order to make them frameless. That's a lot of extra work. We got a custom job for less than the price of a non-custom job. In the photos you can see the detail I'm talking about. I've included before and after pictures. The before pictures are all dark, ugly drawers and doors. The after pictures are the modern, two-tone look. In one photo in which I have a drawer pulled out with hot pads in it, Walter designed that and made it fit. There was not a drawer in there before because it's under the stove and the gas line was in the way. But Walter moved it. Walter's very conscientious and not afraid to tell you if he thinks something is not going to look good. He'll do whatever you want, but we learned that he knows what he's talking about. He identified the issue quickly and highlighted the lazy workmanship from our kitchen installers (Taranto Construction, Inc in Claremont, CA) who were subcontracted through Lowe's (who we purchased our kitchen from). The shelves collapsed because of loose screws from lazy installers at Taranto Construction, Inc. It's infuriating to have to pay someone to come solve an issue that goes back to completely loose screws in the hardware that would've taken an extra 5 seconds to properly tighten at the initial install. But they know people won't see it, so they cut corners. DO NOT EVER USE TARANTO CONSTRUCTION INC in Claremont CA for a kitchen install, or any Lowe's in the surrounding area, as this is who they refer the work to. After spending a short amount of time with Walter, it's clear he knows what he is doing and is a professional. He even tightened and adjusted other cabinet doors in our kitchen he noticed issues with that had nothing to do with the cabinet shelves he came to fix. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

After engaging a reputable company that possessed the necessary expertise, it was a grave error to have enlisted the services of this person. Not only did he cause extensive damage to my bathroom during the renovation, consistently failing to arrive punctually, but he also disrupted my work schedule. Exercise caution when dealing with this individual, as he presents himself as having a team when in reality, he works alone. We were under the impression that he was dependable and trustworthy, based on his reviews, but that never proved to be true. I strongly advise against making the same mistake and instead investing a little more to hire a licensed and professional contractor. The work was so well done, we returned to get a backsplash done. JUST LOOK AT THE PHOTOS. Amazing work, and honestly, Brett came up with the design. We left one day thinking all dark tile, came back in another day and he's like, "I've been thinking all week about your space." Who does that? He knew we wanted something interesting and we got to play with the tiles in the store until we were 100% satisfied. Dominic was nice too, but we mostly saw Brett on Saturdays. I also felt very welcomed and he spoke to me just as equally as to my husband. (Ladies, you know what I mean.) Just shop here.
