Tony (Anthony Decorators) can tackle any project. He is knowledgeable, makes great suggestions, completes quality work, and is focused on ensuring the customer is satisfied with the results. As part of our home renovation/updating, we had initially contacted Tony to refinish our stairs and handrails. He and his team did such a great job that we continued to add additional projects. These projects included: re-staining and painting the cabinets and countertop in our bar, re-staining the fireplace mantle, de-constructing and re-painting a custom cabinet (cabinet built to be a TV stand with closed door shelving (will be converted to a sideboard/cabinet by adding a countertop), installed molding around our new front entry door, and repainted (glazed) the kitchen cabinets. His last project was replacing/upgrading the baseboards throughout the first floor. Also, during our renovation process, we discovered water damage caused by prior water leaks (faulty window caulking, damaged sprinkler heads). He and his team were able to assist with these repairs. The window was re-caulked and the drywall was repaired. If we hadn't already contracted another firm to paint our home interior, we would have asked Tony to complete that project. Since I work for a manufacturer, I supplied the top commercial grade product line from Vista Paint. He does everything by the book. His prices are very reasonable. He painted two bathrooms for me and repaired a tile area that was broken off when we had an exterior water leak that flooded the bathroom. The tile was 40 years old and he somehow painted the concrete material we used to repair it to blend in. Amazing! You won't go wrong with Tony. Words cannot describe my wonderful experience with Tony. My wife and I were scrambling last minute on the day before Thanksgiving to find someone who was trustworthy but reasonably priced to help us with our difficult situation before we moved in to our new home. Essentially, I hired a shady contractor who started the acoustic removal on my ceiling but didn't come back to finish the job he had promised to be able to complete on time for us to move in this coming weekend. That is how I stumbled upon Tony here on Yelp. When I spoke with Tony by phone regarding our situation, he was empathetic, patient, personable, and truthful about how he had many jobs lined up and wished he was able to help me. In the end, he agreed to come out to take a look at my place, on THANKSGIVING DAY nonetheless. When he showed up, he displayed professionalism, expertise, and honesty regarding our situation. He pointed out details and showed us step by step how he would go about rectifying the issues left by the lousy contractor we had hired. He understood our situation and let us know he would try his best to work with us on a reasonable price. He let me know he can start the job in about 1 week. After he left, he provided me with a quote via email within 3 hours. And the price was very reasonable. In the end, however, due to my wife and my preference to have the job completed as soon as possible, we ended up going with a contractor a friend recommended who was able to start the job earlier. But I can assure you, if I had a project I wanted done to perfection and time was not an issue, I would definitely request for Tony to help out. Tony is an artist. He totally transformed our family room. We had dated honey oak wainscoating on our walls, with wall paper and border, plus a very old school florescent light fixture and fan. Our goal was to modernize the room. With Tony's suggestions and his expert talent we have a beautiful transitional room. He spent a lot of hours stripping, staining, and coating our oak bar which my husband loves.. He was very patient and flexible as the project evolved; his consulting and advise were so helpful. He was never push but has a lot of experience and insight on how to work a space. He had great suggestions for the fine details, like adding rope trim on the bar, and using lusterstone to create a beautiful center point in the ceiling. He also did an amazing job with our corner built in. He took a plain desk area and turned it into a combination wine/beer -entertainment area. He also added a step down from the kitchen which used to be an 8" drop. This will save many falls from our guests. We are getting so many compliments on the room and no one can believe it was all completed by one individual.Because he only has one helper the project did take a bit of time, but if you are willing to be patient for the expertise it is well worth it. I recommend Tony to anyone. We also had him strip wallpaper in the bathroom that apparently had water damage on the walls. Tony used his artistry there to give us a very cool lusterstone finish in shades of gray, silver and pewter. It was a perfect and inexpensive way to update the bathroom which had traditional white and gray tile. Lastly we found Tony's pricing fair and his integrity impeccable. Tony did a horrible job on my home, He did not power wash the exterior, he did not sand or patch any wood, he painted all my windows shut, he got paint on all fences, garage door, driveway and porch he also painted all vents closed and dirty. He did a horrible job , his helper spoke no English and tony left him here alone all the time and he could not understand what I was saying and when Tony would show up he made it worst. My husband and I recently moved into a 1922 home that has a 4ft wide front door. Due to how neglected the house was and how beaten up the door was, we were considering replacing it until we met Tony. Anthony Decorators did an exemplary job refinishing our front door. In addition to stripping the badly faded coating and matching the staining and applying several new coats of varnish, they built and installed a spacer that minimized and concealed the gap that had resulted from several years of shrinkage. They started our job on a Friday, doing all the prep work (stripping all the old finish and applying the new stain). Light sanding and multiple coats of varnish was done on the following Monday. He arrived on time, which was great, gave me a estimate and said he could come on that Friday or possibly early the next week.
