He found out it was our first visit and before we could even order, he gave us samples of his steak fingers, chicken, fried mashed potatoes and amazing crab cakes. I would not consider this health food but he does have healthy chicken and vegetarian options. We were in full carnivore mode on this visit. We ordered blackened grilled chicken, grilled chicken pita and the filet mignon - yes, filet mignon - from a food truck. It was served over the most amazing homemade mashed potatoes - these weren't fried. The sauce that was poured on top was so good! This is not surprising - after all, Kendrick studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and his sauces are killer. His truck is on Old Fannin and it's easy to miss. He's on the West side of the road in an open field. Currently, it's not well lit but he's working on that. We got 3 amazing meals for just over $35. Talking with Kendrick and the other patrons was the icing on the cake. He is a passionate soul who appreciates his customers and works very hard for your business. Truly an amazing meal! There was a slight language barrier, but the lady understood my order and took it accurately. I decided to order four tacos and one torta: two Barbacoa, one Al Pastor, and one Chicharon. Everything was authentic and delicious, especially the homemade tortillas that elevated the tacos to the next level. The torta was the best I've ever had in Mississippi.
