Salsa tasted like ketchup and was apparently puréed. Not a solid chip to be found. Guess we got the crumbs in the bottom. Got the Pollo Fundido. Lot of peppers and onions but very little chicken. Just terrible all the way round. Even the side salad was just a lot of bell pepper and a few pieces of lettuce. I will say the place was clean and the service was okay.

The complimentary chips were thick and cold--I much prefer them thin, crisp, and ideally warm when they hit the table. The salsa itself was disappointing too: thick, plain, and more like tomato sauce than the fresh, zesty dip I was hoping for. Service also had a hiccup--I was charged for extra pico and sour cream that never arrived. Not the end of the world, but frustrating nonetheless. All in all, while my meal was tasty and my son enjoyed his birthday, I can't say I had the complete Mexican dining experience I look forward to. I'll give Salsa's another shot next year, but for now, it's not at the top of my list.
