I ate like an absolute king here on October 20th, 2023. I came in and acted arrogant, and they still treated me with so much peace. I genuinely couldn't admit it at first. I was so amazed by everything I saw and did that. I couldn't even understand just how nice everyone was being until the ending when I saw the bill and smiled super big in my heart. I knew that they had been nothing but fair the entire time, and in juxtaposition to my seemingly careless and obnoxious behavior, they were nothing but 5 star service and smiles the entire way there weren't they? If you know anybody that needs to come here for a quick bite to eat, I suggest the toast with Jam as well as just about everything in moderation, that is! I certainly wasn't moderate when I came here, and now my stomach is nothing but absolutely full! Yum! Seriously! If I could I would not give any stars for tgis place. The owners are so rude and disrespectful and serve raw food in plates that have cheese cakes from not being washed. Stopped in by chance. A Sunday am. Parking lot packed. What an amazing surprise! THE FOOD WAS AWESOME!!!!! Large portions reasonably priced. Service great even with a full restaurant. Ordered breakfast the pancakes large fluffy, the Swiss and mushroom omelet perfection. Plenty of mushrooms and cooked to a nicely cooked center. Looking at what others ordered the Sunday specials looked wonderful! Not from Canton Illinois but will definitely make the trip to eat there again!!!! read more

Stopped here for brunch. Had the 3 meat and cheese omelette and my hubby had the 3 meat skillet. Both were fresh and delicious. This little town, little restaurant is cute and clean. Simply decorated and the staff's attire was well represented of the restaurant. The service was friendly and very attentive despite how extremely busy they were at 11am. Went there today 10-1-22 for breakfast. Pecan pancakes were nasty. I ordered my bacon crisp, it was limp. Had to go up and get my own coffee refill. My wife's hamburger was a frozen patty. What kind of restaurant nowadays serves frozen hamburger patty? Are you too lazy to use fresh ground beef and hand make your own patties? Thought I would never go here again but thought a 2nd chance was possible. I almost knew what I was in for. Can never understand the waitress. How anyone likes this place is beyond me. Our go to restaurant when looking for great food and lots of options. It gets a bit crowded and busy, but the wait for your order is minimal and worth it. Excellent option when you want quality, quantity and something outside of fast food and chain restaurants. read more

I got chicken parm that was so-so in a sauce with thick spaghetti. The chicken itself wasn't breaded and good, but.... Wife got minute steak/hamburger with mushrooms that was awful. It was wet underneath and dry inside/well done with mushrooms that had no gravy and no flavor. We also got an extra side of "hash browns" as we liked their competitors, that were cooked black and white (fry it with butter or oil guys), and also flavorless. Probably the best diner in Canton. I usually eat breakfast here so can't really rate anything else. Almost always have the country fried steak with hashbrowns and 2 eggs along with toast or pancakes. All things in moderation so once a month probably won't kill me. Potatoes are great along with the fried steak...dont fix this at home because of the hassle factor. Ate here today, the place was full. Service was great, food very good. Chili was good, but I ordered the Spl. chicken pot pie..but it was creamed chicken over biscuits. But it was good. Lots of food for the money! read more

Service was subpar, not personable. Food was as expected for a diner. Had the horseshoe, burger was pretty tough and bland, but you can't mess up cheese and fries so overall it was good. Nothing really stood out, good or bad. I'd go back and try something else if I come through again. read more

Just had breakfast here today! Best all around breakfast! Crispiest hash browns, perfectly cooked bacon, softest biscuits and best coffee since I went to Jamaica. And service was top notch! Coffee cup was never more than half empty before it was filled again!! Our order was taken immediately and food arrived soon after. It's no wonder the parking lot is always full. I was here once before for lunch and it was as good then. These folks should give lessons on how a restaurant should be run!!!! read more
