A T M O S P H E R E You know you're back in small town farm town Illinois when you walking into an amazing Mom and Pop shop like Jubilee Cafe! This place is so cozy! S E R V I C E The servers are super sweet! They're on top of providing timely service, quick refills, and making sure you have what you need. F O O D I had the Chicken Wrap and it was pretty good! And then... I had the Banana Pie... and that was to die for!! Pie is definitely their thing! 100/100 recommend!! My dad and mama loved the pie so much, we got a full chocolate pie for around $19 to go. You cannot beat their great prices and service! Go check them out!!

Grilled chicken with mushrooms and bacon and cheese . Lovely baked potato as well.

Absolutely the best home cooking food I've ever had. I happened to stop on my way to my next work site . The service is amazing and great staff. Great ambiance and easy to get to off the freeway. . I highly recommend this place 10/10

Review Visit: October 14th, 2015 Decided to stop in before my hike at Jubilee College State Park. Slightly disappointed in both. Having read great online reviews, driven past the highway signage multiple times, I thought I could knock out this cafe and the state park in the same day. Upon entering, the wait staff seemed like they didn't really care to offer us good service. Then once we ordered, the food was alright. Nothing really stellar or mouthwatering. I honestly can't remember what I ordered. Reflecting back, it kind makes me wonder if they are one of those small diners that has their regulars and anyone that is new or different, they get shunned. This probably isn't true and I just went on a bad day. With fairly great reviews, I would be willing to bet that I just happened to show up on a bad day. So with anything, take my words with some caution and try things for yourself!

Kickapoo Special I think was what this was. Biscuits and gravy is what's on the right.

Nice diner from service, to the feel, to the food...this one is all diner. Easy to get to right off the interstate so that was a win. They were pretty busy when we got there for a late lunch, no problems or issues with service. Everyone was nice I had breakfast and the sausage and hash browns were super good. My wife got the breaded tenderloin sandwich. She said it was really good, she also added fries and cheese sauce. I tried those and I liked them too. We did try a piece of key lime pie and it was really good. There were a few people buying full pies, so I would imagine all the other 20+ kinds they had to choose from were all pretty good. Worth a stop, we will be back as well.

Homestyle cooking here at its finest. Quaint little diner that is like a step back in time. Food hit the spot and was delicious. I got a bowl with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, cheese, and gravy and it was yummy. The strawberry pie too, was so fresh. Prices were very fair. The one complaint is the butterscotch pie was not our favorite. I overall recommend!!!

So stop in on are way home from Galesburg, train station for lunch, my wife and I. My wife had the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich w/ Chips, this is her normal to try, she said it was fair could use some seasoning. I had Tuna Melt w/Chips. I enjoyed the sandwich, not sure if the chips are purchased or homemade they were good. Service was great, our waitress kept an eye on us and was polite. This is a small town Cafe, it is relaxing and very affordable. We arrived at 12:15PM and was served in about 20 minutes and table cleared by 12:58PM. The parking lot was full, that alone tells you they have good food. They have a very large menu of items and the dessert look great. Would stop here again $24.50 with 1 Sweet Tea

What a great diner! We stopped in on a recent road trip to grab some lunch. Everyone is very friendly and sweet. It's right off the interstate so I'm sure they get lots of tourists, but there seemed to be a lot of regulars which is nice to see. Hubby ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and I had the chicken fried steak. Both were breaded perfectly. The gravy on the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes was thick and creamy. The mashed potatoes weren't super flavorful, by themselves, but I was happy to see they were homemade and not flakes. And they were covered in gravy, so they didn't need to be super fancy anyway. Hubby's sandwich was delish! The bun was soft, the veggies were fresh. The tenderloin was pretty big, so he tore some off to dip in the gravy. LOL! I ordered baked apples as one of my sides, and they were good. They were firm and had lots of cinnamon. We also had to try the peach pie. I'm not a fan of peach pie in general, but this was good. The crust was very flaky and they give you a pretty good slice. I loved this place so much, I bought a t-shirt to remember our lunch here!

Well looky here we got beer about the last 3 months something new

#43/2022 Wow December of 2020 was that the last time I've been to the old jubilee?? Yep sure looks like it. So belly started rumbling outside the Galesburg saying feed me and I thought you know what let's see what time Jubilee open till? just before you get into Peoria to the west 15 mi there it sits in the little tiny farm Town of Kickapoo Illinois. Said 8:00 I rolled in at 6:10 sounds good let's eat. Nice thing is I still got the truck gravel parking lot where you can park big trucks and it look pretty much the same for the most part. Walking in the first thing I noticed there is a difference they got beer not wine just beer three different kinds of beer if you want to enjoy my favorite Michelob ultra busch lite and Bud light I believe they give you an ice cold frosted glass too. like most of the Illinois they have video poker now too. So I sat down and looked at the menu it looked pretty much the same for the most part a couple additions here and there but not much. I opted on getting the roast pork dinner minus the dressing cuz I'm not addressing fan never did stove top any of that stuff just nothing for me. So I got the roast pork and the two sides smashed potatoes and gravy and the for the meal my favorite cottage cheese. For drink I went with the unsweetened iced tea. She brought out the tea and the cottage cheese I added the black pepper like I always do and a few packs of club crackers and enjoyed dinner came out looked really good. I decided to go with the brown gravy like they do on the hot beef as opposed to the chicken gravy the roast pork was very fork tender and tasty potatoes were really good. I said I'm going to have some dessert they got a monster pie selection all made in house. I saw had sugar free pies tooso I said what are you guys got for sugar free and so we got sugar free peach today. I said cool sounds good I'll take a slice. She brought it out and it tasted really good even without the sugar it had a little bit of a plane or taste and the crust but still nonetheless it was good for me. I still have plenty of tea left so I didn't want any cawfee I'll get that down the road somewhere. So in conclusion it's been too long I'm definitely going to hit this up more often some good sit down home cooking stick to your rib food. Then I took my pills I paid the bill and headed back out to that old 18-wheeler and back to chasing those dotted white lines:-)

    Green tomato pie, delicious!

When I asked about it they said "we never sold chocolate, i don't know what you're talking about" (The chocolate was back today) Today it was asking about their canned coffee because the fridge was empty (they have a shandy coffee/lemonade that is killer) They looked at me like I was an alien for wanting to buy a product they've had in cans in the past. They assured me they still have it to make but don't have it in cans sell. When I asked if they knew when it would be back the barista was frustrated and repeated that they had it to make. Ok fine, but I'm driving an hour home and liked the cans? Just a weird thing like it's a pain in the ass that i know what products they have and am interested in them. The Huckleberry Sage latte was great, the Barista was great for suggesting it iced. I'd have it again. I'm just giving up on expecting clear answers about what they carry.

This is the coziest coffee spot in town and is surrounded by lots of cool places to eat, shop, and they often have live music at the plaza. It is on the expensive side, However the coffee has always been fairly priced per portion and it is a great place to eat too! They work out of a small house kitchen so be patient please! The downstairs has a large couched seating area and the wall murals are so timeless and comfortable. They have two patios, and they have two levels. I like to sit and read here or study here, and eventually grab some food, I don't know when the tower is open to the public, but they have a playground diagonally across under the heights tower, the cutest book stores, and eclectic shops, restaurants and bars all down this block. It's one of my favorite places in town and I recommend it it 100% Hopefully not to sound too petty but i read a shocking review that said this place is dirty, and that coffee is bitter? Uh....let me go ahead and squash that review, since it seems personal rather than productive. The house converted into shop is underneath trees, and has a butter yellow color so what may look dirty is not i assure you. I myself am a bit of a germaphobe and have never seen an unclean table sit for longer than a minute. I even seen them wipe down the sofas. They never mentioned WHAT was dirty either so i covered everything important. They also have a sugar and creamer, and flavor pump self dispensing table to the side of the counter so that everyone can have theirs to taste if they order a regular coffee regardless of the many flavor combinations and ways to prepare it listed on the board, from sweet, to kinda spicy in a delicious way in the mayan. I appreciate the taste of coffee not being smothered by sugar and flavoring. Coffee is by nature of the product...bitter. So if they do not like coffee being bitter, i love their chai drinks too and highly recommend them especially in fall, they often have an apple chai latte which i adore.

She recommended the Cuban Pulled Pork Sandwich. My sandwich was huge and contained a large portion of pulled pork meat. It was delicious and the homemade chipotle bbq mayo made it all the more satisfying with its rich smoky flavor! The Cuban-style black beans were right out of Miami! Very nicely prepared and included green peas, carrots, corn, and bell peppers, as well. My dining companion, for her part, ordered the Falafel platter, with a side order of gyro meat. The falafel (a dozen), were fresh, tasty, and just the right consistency. These were served with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pita, and hummus. The side order of gyro meat featured a generous portion of decadently succulent lamb shavings and included two portions of homemade tzatziki sauce. Everything we ate was prepared to perfection and could easily compete with exceptional restaurants in Chicago! Yes, the food at One World is that good. As for the service, our waitress Quincy was friendly and professional. As for the ambiance and decor--we arrived ahead of the lunch crowd, so it was pretty quiet. The decor, however, is nicely done. The premises were clean and well maintained. Ditto the restrooms. The restaurant is actually huge. There are multiple dining areas and in the summer there is an outside patio behind the restaurant, as well. As for pricing and affordability--quality costs, and the food here is definitely a cut above. That being said, the owners have priced the entrees quite reasonably considering the generous portion-size and quality of the food. My overall opinion? If you want a dining experience worthy of comparison to the best Chicagoland has to offer, but don't want to make the long drive--or pay twice as much--then I highly recommend this little gem of a locally-owned restaurant in Peoria!

Review Visit: October 30th, 2017…read more With my love for coffee and visiting coffeehouses, it is a surprise that this place popped up in Peoria without me knowing. My friend and I were actually heading to Riley's Cupcakes and Coffee Lounge for some caffeine and sweets when we found out they were closed on Mondays as of recent. Sad at the thought of not getting to try a new coffee place, my friend suggested we try the place a few doors down. Come to my surprise that there was a newer coffeehouse right there. So, in we went! [CxT] appears to be a new coffeehouse in Peoria, a city that seems to be going through a renewal of sorts... tons of new places, young places, fresh places... and [CxT] is a welcome addition, in my books. If cozy coffeehouses needed a photo, this place would be perfect. It's small with very limited seating but it's still open enough to feel inviting. Upon going in, we were greeted by one of the owners behind the counter and we chatted for a bit while trying to figure out what to order. Very nice fellow and I hope their company does well. My friend ended up ordering a Matcha Tea Latte while I ordered an Iced Caramel Latte. Oftentimes when I order my usual, it is either a bit too bitter or a bit too sweet, but the balance of this latte was a near perfect blend of flavor and espresso. It is easily a Top 10 for me. My friend said his Matcha Tea was pretty good. He had to explain to me what he ordered as I had never heard of it before. If you like their coffee a lot, they roast it themselves and you can get it in a multitude of flavors. They also offers some unique chocolates, which my friend bought and liked. They have these cool things that you stir in Hot Cocoa and it dissolves, giving it a new flavor. I want to go back and get a few of those things before winter fully hits! There appears to be art on one wall that is for sale. I didn't get a good look at them but they looked cool from afar. There is also a pretty decent-sized jewelry set up, if you need to accessorize while picking up some coffee. All-in-all, [CxT] Roasting Company is a great addition to not just Main Street in Peoria but also to Peoria itself.

I was not expecting the back room at all, not to mention all of the seating and the log cabin look that it had to offer either. It felt like the seating options were endless including couches and designer chairs. There's even an upstairs loft as well which is a great place to hang out with friends! It's so cute! A few moments later, they called out our drinks from the side window, it's located in the hallway leading to that cute log cabin looking back room. I think more places should have a side window by the way. It was nice to be able to step aside and not be in the way while other people are ordering. There were lots of people coming in and out so I think it's a popular spot in town, I don't blame them! Time to try out our drinks! They were great and we warmed right up! I would definitely go out of my way to come back and try this shop out again. I'd like a little more time to look at the menu and see what else they have to offer. I hear they have some yummy snacks so I'll have to try one of those next time! To the owner: great job on your coffee shop! It's super charming and I love it!
