I figured Canton isn't a terribly long drive for me if I made it a day to travel and see other things around Billy's Tap. Guess what. That's exactly what my girlfriend and I did. We made plans to check out the Tap and other places in the area. We rolled up on a quiet afternoon. Canton is a small town so I assume most days are quiet around there. We stopped before entering to take some fun photos with the giant log painted on the wall. Well, I posed for some photos. My shy girlfriend isn't one to draw attention to herself... being shy and all. We headed in and were greeted by an excellent pub. The place had this classiness to it that I didn't expect from a small town. I could see how this place was on a few list of 'must try' places. None of that matters if the food is awful though, so we grabbed a seat and go to ordering. BBQ bacon burgers are our usual menu item to order and we were able to order something along those lines at Billy's Tap. Since we still had some driving and exploring to do, we declined to get too much food and be miserable. Just the bacon burgers and we split some french fries. Our waitress was small-town friendly and made some small talk while we sat there, taking in the scenery. I can't express how amazed I was at how nice this place was. I was also amazed at the sight of our food when it came out. Despite getting an order of french fries to split between us, there was a huge pile of them that could've been a meal of it's own. As for the slab of meat between the patties, that just looked fantastic. I was amazed at the interior. I was amazed at how the food looked. Was I amazed at how it tasted. Heck yes, I was. Each bite of the burger was succulent and full of juices and flavor. Each bite was heaven for this carnivorous man. The bacon had that nice crisp to it that I loved while remaining greasy at the same time. It's how I cook my bacon at home. The meat patty was the same. Juicy but not to the point where it would leave juices running down your chin. This thing was easily a Top 10 if not Top 5 burger for me. The only thing it was missing was the BBQ sauce but that's not going to count against it. Just a personal preference. Again, I could see why this place made it on some lists. This place seems somewhat unassuming on the outside but the second you walk in, you know you are in for a treat. Sadly it's just too far away for me to try again but I am glad to have tried it the one time. I wonder what the delivery cost would be to have one brought to me....

These issues encompass: Racism and Discrimination: I have faced derogatory remarks and discriminatory behavior based on my race. Instances such as being called derogatory terms like "nigger, cotton picker, spick, niger white, you don't belong here go back to where you came from," have created an atmosphere of hostility and exclusion. Additionally, I have endured demeaning looks and subtle racist comments, deeply impacting my well-being. Unfair Treatment and Bias: McDonald's managers have demonstrated biased behavior, mishandling my food orders and resorting to aggression, including aggressively throwing food at me. Moreover, during a job interview, I was subjected to invasive questions about my age and race, highlighting systemic bias and unfair treatment within the organization. Fear of Retaliation and Safety Concerns: The pervasive culture of racism and discrimination has instilled in me a profound fear of retaliation and physical harm. I am constantly apprehensive about speaking out, fearing unjust arrest or law enforcement involvement. This fear has taken a toll on my mental health and overall stability. Lack of Support and Resolution: Despite reaching out to DoorDash and McDonald's Corporate, I have received dismissive responses and insufficient action. While instances of racism and discrimination were acknowledged, adequate solutions were not provided. The lack of a reference number from DoorDash support and the absence of follow-up calls have left me feeling helpless and vulnerable. Witnessed Discriminatory Behavior: In addition to my personal experiences, I have witnessed McDonald's employees making derogatory comments about mixed-race workers in front of customers, further underscoring the prevalent culture of racism and discrimination within the organization. These experiences have caused me severe emotional distress, depression, and anxiety, impeding my ability to fulfill my job responsibilities effectively. The constant fear of retaliation and safety concerns have created a hostile work environment that is untenable. I implore both McDonald's Corporation and DoorDash Corporate Team to conduct a thorough investigation into these matters and take immediate action to address systemic issues of racism, discrimination, and bias within your organizations. Proactive measures must be implemented to ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and contractors, irrespective of race or ethnicity. Regrettably, I am left with no alternative but to escalate this matter further. I intend to share my experiences on social media to raise awareness of the unprofessional and discriminatory conduct exhibited by both McDonald's and DoorDash. On February 19, 2024, I was assigned an order from McDonald's with a pickup time of 11:51 AM and a delivery time of 11:56 AM. However, due to delays beyond my control, the order was not delivered until 12:13 PM. Subsequently, around 12:25 PM, I contacted DoorDash to address the ongoing issues I have faced, followed by a call to McDonald's Corporate around 12:45 PM to seek assistance. Unfortunately, my experiences have been marred by severe mistreatment, bias, discrimination, and racism, which have left me in a state of constant fear and anxiety. These issues include: Racism and Discrimination: I have been subjected to derogatory remarks and discriminatory behavior based on my race. Comments such as "make him wait, he's not white," and "get border patrol" have been directed at me, creating an environment of hostility and exclusion. Moreover, I have endured demeaning looks and slick racist comments, which have deeply hurt and marginalized me. Unfair Treatment and Bias: Managers at McDonald's have exhibited biased behavior towards me, mishandling my food orders and displaying aggression by aggressively throwing food orders at me. Additionally, during a job interview at McDonald's, I was asked invasive questions about my age and race, indicating a systemic issue of bias and unfair treatment within the organization. Fear of Retaliation and Safety Concerns: The pervasive atmosphere of racism and discrimination has instilled in me a profound fear of retaliation and even physical harm. It's McDonalds... Go here if you had a bad break up with someone or if you are depressed in anyway. It wont help but... it's McDonalds, The cocaine of restaurants. You usually turn to it at your worst times, and you get in a horrible addiction by burger 2. Your familly will tell you, "You need to change! Look at you!" but you shrug them off. After a month, you finally breakout of your depression, but you are left with the 10lbs it gave you... A scar you must wear in shame. read more

The restaurant itself was also really nice, very open and spacious, with plenty of seating. Even if all the tables were filled, there was still more than enough room to walk around comfortably. I also loved the festive touch of the Christmas tree right inside the restaurant; it made the space feel warm and welcoming. While it was a little on the pricey side for one person, the quality of the food and the overall experience was great. What impressed me the most, though, was how kind, genuine, and attentive Ryan was throughout my visit. She truly made the experience memorable and as far as I'm concerned she's the best waitress you have! I was happy to let her know that she was going above and beyond, y'all better hold on to her! There's even an option to pay at the table if you're in a hurry which is a cool feature! I will definitely be back!
