My 7 year old is very much into art, and when one of her friends from school said she was going to…read morethis day camp, my daughter wanted to join immediately! We picked the day that the rainbow jellyfish was going to be painted. You can pick a single day, or the whole week for a discounted rate. $48 included tax, 3 hours of instruction (you send your child with water and a snack), and a huge canvas to take home at the end! There was even enough time to allow the kids to pick out a small wooden or ceramic piece to paint as well (my child chose the Christmas tree). This place is easy to find via GPS and has plenty of parking. Inside, there are many painted canvases hung up showcasing all of the beautiful artwork done in the studio. This place also does birthday parties, private events and more! My child loved the experience and we are going to hang up her artwork on the wall in her bedroom. This experience is recommended for kids aged 6-12 years.

My friend invited me to Painting with a Twist for one of their Fourth Wing-inspired painting…read moresessions. I'm honestly baffled that the establishment is called "Painting with a Twist" because to me that insinuates there will be alcohol but I did not know this location was bring your own bottle. I've been to other paint and sip places that either provide the wine or at least have a selection to purchase. Considering that it's BYOB, I feel that the value does not match the price you pay for the class. When we arrived, the canvases were already set up and you were assigned a seat, so you did not get to chose whether you wanted to be closer to the front where the instructor was. My friend and I were placed towards the back, and although they did have TVs around that streamed the instructor live, they were a bit too small and low quality to really make out the details. I was also surprised to see the image we were painting was already draw on the canvas, which I'm sure it's for the sake of time but I personally find it more fun to be instructed step by step to create the painting from scratch. The instructions also felt a tiny bit rushed as I was struggling to keep up, but that could have just been me being too much of a perfectionist. I enjoyed that the instructor took breaks to do trivia and allow people to catch up! One of the instructors had read the books and you could tell she had a passion for Fourth Wing. I also appreciated that they came around and assisted with anyone who needed help. While our main instructor who was painting with us did a phenomenal job, I was a bit distracted by the other instructor who was on her phone every once in a while when she was not waking around assisting people with their paintings. Overall, I had fun but the experience was just ok to me, definitely not what I was expecting for paying almost $50. I was really excited for this, and a little sad that the experience feel short for me.

If you enjoy wine or art, or both, you'll want to pop in here for a stop. They will allow you to…read moresample any of the alcohols they sell, which is great for anyone who may question purchasing a mid-priced bottle of wine - or if you just would like to have a couple samples! The staff is quick to help you out and will pull samples from the fridge or bottles behind the register. They also offer up some wine accessories for sale, like wine holders, coaster, mixers, etc. Check out their section of coffee mixers, they sound really good! If you are into art, you may want to check out their painting classes they offer. They have a schedule of painting options for themes available, just ask. Overall: A A fun place to pop in when in the Florida Mall. Check out their art classes!

Honestly, this did not offend me at all. On the contrary, I took it as a good thing. hahaha I let her know I'm 24 and show them my ID. I then proceed to tasting. everything was super good and they were so helpful. They even gave a chocolate wine sample which was inside their shop. I decided to buy a bottle of one of the once I tasted and loved, since I had a girls wine night coming up. The quality of the one was outstanding and my bottle was the best of the night. They have so much variety and even have small events that you can attend for a low cost.

Let me start by saying, that I've been to painting with a twist, specifically this location in the…read morepast. I Visited Painting with a Twist on Valentine's Day and added candle making to our session. We arrived at 2:30 to make the candle and the front desk was a pigsty. I was shocked there was only one person working the front desk; checking people in, making candles, prepping the canvas, and serving drinks. The candle making process was seamless, although we had to impose on another painting session to choose our scents. The painting portion was expected to start at 3:00. The instructor walked in at 2:30 and the tables were not prepped at all. When booking, it was expressed that this location did not offer BYOB. Midday drinking isn't up our alley anyway, so there was no issue respecting their policy. The front room became jam packed and seats had not been designated with names at this point. We were finally able to sit down and noticed that people brought their own alcohol. A customer asks the instructor if it was okay for them to bring their own alcohol and she allowed it which was very strange to me, as they seemed to be urging people to drink from their "bar" and had a no BYOB policy. 3:30 hit and class had not started. Paint was still being placed on plates, and canvases were still being prepped for the drawing. At around 3:40. My partner and I decided to leave. Letting the front desk staff know that we were leaving. We grabbed our non-painted canvas and they were almost in shock that we wanted to leave with the canvas. If we can't get a refund, we're definitely taking the canvas that we've paid for. We were told to come back for our candle, which we did. This place did not respect our time by any means. The service was pitiful and I can't help but think there's another reason why the service was so bad. No one apologized for the wait or even informed us of the hold. Would not recommend.

It started and ended on time. We had an option between 1 of 2 paintings. The instructor was easy to follow and we played a game - guess the Artist or Group name of the song played. I enjoyed the painting experience and decided to host a painting party. Registering and setting up for the party was simple and straight-forward. The terms were adequately explained and guest registration and tracking was made easy using a website link that they provided. The party involved a deposit, selecting the painting, providing a music selection and having at least 10 registered guests. The choice of paintings were numerous with over 1000 options. For the painting, I chose Butterfly on a Pink Moon, however, I chose to use purple in lieu of pink. So, I guess my personal art title is Butterfly on a Purple Moon. During the planning/waiting phase, when I had questions, I was always able to reach someone, and they were able to assist me. Our party was in the smaller painting room in the back, and I was allowed to bring in food, drinks and decorations. Just fyi, the venue does have alcoholic drinks and water for purchase at very reasonable prices. During the party, we played a game - guess what the instructor was drawing - and the prize was a painting done by one of the instructors. I really enjoyed the event and my guests indicated that they also had a good time. Our instructor, Nancy, was good. Overall, I found this type of activity to be very enjoyable, easy to set-up and would enjoy doing it again. I recommend checking out any of their events that are open to the public. The venue offers in-studio events, private parties, at-home paint kits and pop in & DIY. Candle making is an option that can be added on.

I had peeked into Artroom several times finally last year I signed up for a class - the format was really nice ( adult oil ) first weeks all newbies were given a beginners project and Linda walked us through it in detail sharing wonderful tips that I did not even get from Valencia professors - no offense - most importantly her expertise in teaching and reading the class is incredible - she knows each student their capabilities strengths individually and coaches accordingly - giving honest constructive feedback in a very warm manner. People joke that it is a lot cheaper than therapy and works even better. After the initial project everyone works on a project they want and Linda coaches everyone individually on their projects finding bringing resources - recommending references. It is a group class so this level of individualism surprised me in a good way. My only regret is that I did not find artroom sooner
