While Chef Mark was a pleasant and personable individual, this was absolutely not a cooking class…read more-- it was a demonstration at best. The "class" was held in the middle of a busy pub where music was playing, customers were talking and laughing, and people were actively playing darts and pool. There was no microphone, so we could barely hear the instructor. Calling this a class under those conditions is completely misleading. We were expected to roll dough on small high-top pub tables, which was impractical and uncomfortable. Due to the setup, we couldn't even clearly see the sauce being made. There was no structured, hands-on instruction -- just trying to catch bits and pieces of what was happening in a loud bar environment. To make matters worse, the finished pasta was served in a small Styrofoam bowl with a plastic fork -- not even a napkin provided. The dish itself was bland and underwhelming. This experience was given as a gift, which makes it even more embarrassing. It felt disorganized, misleading and like a complete waste of money. A cooking class should be interactive, educational and conducted in an environment where participants can actually hear and learn -- not in the middle of a noisy pub during business hours. Extremely disappointing. Not at all what we expected. Update: Received no direct message

An egg or two. Some oil. (was supposed to be salt too, but the instructor forgot that) Instructions:   Make a well in the flour and mix in the egg and oil as needed.   Flatten it out and make whatever shape you want.    Whoops:  just revealed all the secrets and techniques of the class.   Of the dozen or so people there, not sure anyone made anything remotely edible.   Half the people didn't even attempt to boil their lumps of flattened flour.    But if they did, there was some jarred sauce and kraft shredded cheese to have with it.   (Ad mentioned making a sauce. I didn't even get to open the jar!) I really just don't even know what to make of this "class."    I put class in quotes as it was held in a bar with no cooking utensils, no recipe, no real instruction. I guess think of it as a spam phone call.  Sure, when you get that call you can buy an extended warranty, but would you?   There are some good cooking classes available in Orlando.   This is not one of them.

The two hour class went by in a flash and I left with a picture I'm quite proud of. I cant wait to go again! Our instuctor was Emma and she was awesome. She took us step by step, giving us ample time to finish each step before moving on. She also walked the room assisting wherever anyone needed. At the beginning of class we each put on an apron, Emma went over our tools (canvas, 3 paintbrushes, cup of water, paper towel, and colors...that was it!), and it was time to begin. About an hour in we were given a 15-20 min break to walk around the hotel (our class was held at Embassy Orlando), use the restroom, etc...Once class was over Emma took a picture of each of us, with our paintings, for their FB page. This is perfect for date night (while women dominated, there were guys), ladies night, birthday, etc...No food was served but drinks were on hand for purchase.

Let me start by saying that the event was sold out so the class was full. The room was loud which made it quite difficult to follow and hear the instructor. I have to say that our instructor did an great job at walking us through the different steps. She also walked around the room to help anyone who needed advice or any kind of assistance. She also gave us a 15 mins break to touch up/ finish up, refill our drinks, etc. My criticism for the class is as follows: 1) I felt that the room we had was too small for the size of the class 2) I think the seating should have been better arranged. My friend and I had our backs to the instructor making it hard to follow 3) I know paint nite is supposed to be a great time with friends but at the same time I feel it is important to respect the other participants so that they could also enjoy the experience. My overall experience was OK. I completed the painting but it didn't really look like the example because I skipped a few step, being unable to hear the instructor. I'd like to reiterate that the instructor was AWESOME and did a good job. Some of the participants were loud and it made it hard for others to enjoy.

Sonja explained the process simply in the way only an expert could. I needed advice on my earrings, and she helped me add a pop of green. Sonja was very informative, friendly, and encouraging. She managed people working on different steps or different speeds well. I never felt rushed during the process. Some people were back at class for a second time, and there were a lot of new people. There were eight people in this class. You got to make two necklaces, two pairs of earrings, or one of each. I made one of each. She had gold and silver colors. I only looked at silver, but she had teardrop earrings and pendants and circle earrings and pendants, some small and some large. For the decoration, she had a lot of different flowers, leaves, gems, and glitter, what looked like stickers but were probably not, and other items. She let us take pictures of the products she used in the workshop (ex. the brand of resin she used). It's a lovely shop with a lot of lovely products to buy but also no pressure to buy. I did end up buying some coin dishes for my desk though and a book. You can bring food, and I did. Autumn and Ro is located between Florida Wax House and Glass Orlando, and there is free parking in the back. They're right across from Santiago's Bodega. 10/10 would recommend. They also do a bunch of other classes as well.

To name a few, the store has clothing, candles, soaps, jewelry, paintings, and pottery. Many of the items are handcrafted or painted by different artists. I could tell she cared about the artists because she talked a bit about them and their work. There was some paintings of motions of water on canvas and necklace pendants. The store newly opened just about 4 months ago, so I am glad I walked by this store on accident.

What a great date spot! I have loved driving by this location and seeing all the couples painting…read moretogether on Friday and Saturday nights - so this was my choice for date night. I enjoyed looking through all the options of pottery. I really wanted the popcorn container shaped pottery but unfortunately they were sold out. I decided upon a cupcake container with a removable lid and my boyfriend chose the octopus. The staff was great. We had an employee show us the different painting techniques. We were shown how to choose the colors and the difference each color would have when it was the finished product. I appreciated that there are aprons to wear. It took us a little over 2 hours to complete our masterpieces. During this we snacked on snacks and drinks that I brought in - yes, it is byob (and snacks). I came in several days later to pick up our masterpieces and I loved my cupcake! It came out amazing. I think this can be as affordable of a date night you want it to be based on the items you choose to paint. We had a fantastic time talking and painting. Can't wait to come back.

After taking some time to choose from the variation of colors that they had, we got to work. As closing time got near, we were getting a little anxious that we would not finish, but never felt rushed by the staff at all. They were super kind and helpful to us when asking questions. The music was on point and such a vibe. The cost was great as well. I look forward to seeing what my final project looks like & coming back again.
