This event was a HUGE disappointment! A "artist" was supposed to instruct us on how to paint a…read morepredetermined picture. There was NO instruction at all. The artist wasn't happy with the painting she was supposed to be doing with us. She mentioned several times, it "wasn't her style". Her accent and soft spoken voice left many of us at a loss, as well. To begin the artwork, we were told to take a piece of paper towel and dip it in black paint. Then, smear our entire canvas with the black paint. What?? Are you kidding me? That is hardly painting! Not to mention our entire group of 18 adults had hands covered in black paint. What a mess! Plus, this was not a cheap event! It was supposed to be from 7-9 PM. Most of us were finished by 8:15. The following day a survey was sent to me by Paint The Town, as I was the organizer of the event. I was brutally honest, as I am now. They have yet to write me back, which upsets me greatly.

The events I attended were at a Country Club, however she travels wherever you may need her: work event, bridal shower/bachelorette party, girls night and even kids events! Long story short, I have some small crafting background, but nothing compares to how well Nicole can paint. She grew up around art and it is so evident that she is passionate about art itself and teaching others too. Every event we start off the first few steps of painting and I lose hope for my picture turning out as it should, but in the end I LOVE the final results. She was a fabulous instructor, patient and encouraging us along the way, even when our paintings were no work of art! There was a group ranging in age from their 20s to 60s, celebrating a birthday in the Splatter Room who were having a hoot and you couldn't help but smile when they came out, covered in paint and laughing. Three were for "paint your pet" events which is a specialty. You really have to scour the calendar, but you can send in a photo and get a little bit of help learning how to paint your own pet and I've been successful two out of three times :-) The other time I attended an event in Jupiter, I was just painting a standard Halloween scene and it came out very well and my friend and I enjoyed the camaraderie as we caught up on news from each other's lives. It's easy, enjoyable, and not very expensive to do with friends. I highly suggest it for a date night, a birthday gift, or to spend time with someone you care about.
