Food was good, drinks were super strong service was ok and music was loud. We dined in on a Friday night but it was empty when we got there. We didn't stay long as we were both tired we ate and left.

    Pork chops, grits, scrambled eggs.

The grits were good, but just a little bit too salty. I didn't appreciate the pork chops being that small, but not going to lie it was good af. Definitely get the sauce on the side because it's a no for me. Sorry, not sorry! The eggs were regular-degular. The steak was really good and everyone else in the party definitely enjoyed the food and the experience. No real complaints on the service or the ambiance, but maybe a little dusting and making sure things look a little up-to-par.

Tbh the food was alright. They got good Mac and cheese. The service ngl was bad. They ain't really check in with us and also charged me some random fee that they stated once you spend over 100$ you get some automatic fee? Which sounds like some bull. The ambiance was alright. Had a couple shots and drinks. Hookah and whatever food in the pictures.

    The "pull out"

We came here for brunch on a Saturday, and we had a good time. The wait wasn't long. Customer service: Phenomenal. Our waitress was so attentive and amicable. She was very good at making recommendations, checking in with us, and keeping up with refills. Food: My meal was a 10/10. I got the Steak N Eggs. My steak was cooked to my liking and well seasoned. The scrambled eggs were creamy and delicious, and the potatoes were seasoned well. Drink: I got the "pull out," and it was so good. Very strong but good. One drink was more than enough. Atmosphere: They had excellent music playing, and the vibes were incredible. The music wasn't too loud where you couldn't talk. It only got loud when they came out with signs for people's birthdays and celebrations. I will definitely come back. I had an amazing time.

Fun venue on Granby Street. Pretty empty when we arrived but staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. First off drinks were fabulous ( try a white tea shot). Truffle fries also delicious as were the lamb chops. Curry chicken also nice size and great flavor profile. My only feedback would to be to fix the menu as there were a lot of spelling errors and strange pictures next to items that weren't being advertised on that page. Also as it was 5:30 on a Thursday night and children also in the restaurant to be careful what music videos being shown on the TV. Would love to come back and try breakfast.

The ambiance was artistic and "instagrammable" for sure with great wall art and decor. Great spot for a brunch with small group of friends. Absolutely loved their chicken and waffles, salty but it was totally up my alley. Mimosas were just OK. Service was great.

Quesadilla omelette with sausage and cheese also with cheese grits on the side this was so good

This place is so amazing. The service and the food is totally amazing. I love canvas social cuisine.

The place itself was cute but the service/ food does not match with the prices. I ordered the Cinnabon French toast that was supposed to be topped with berries and it had one half of a single strawberry. When I asked for the berries I was brought a tiny plastic cup of blueberries. Portions were small for the price. Didn't have silverware and when asked for it, got plastic ware. Ordered a mimosa flight but they ran out of glasses?? As a brunch place you would expect more. Maybe having more staff could help but definitely not what expected. Our waitress was apologetic but some of the other staff was rude.

I would say Canvas Social (Hampton) is hit or miss, the difference comes down to preparedness for rushes at popular dining times. Strategic schedule planning would help this location a lot. They did recently open, so there may be more hires to come. I visited twice, once on a Sunday for Brunch and the other on a Wednesday for Dinner. We had a nearly hour and a half wait (we went shopping) and came back to a ready table. After placing our orders, it was about an hour before we received our meal, in the mean time they do have hookah and a full bar if interested, and this restaurant does not take reservations. On Wednesday evenings, they have a live R&B singer which was a welcomed surprise. The vibe was cool. The restaurant was pretty vacant, around 6 pm and started to pick up around 8. The food tasted better and came out much faster on this day. The server was also very attentive and accommodating. My ratings are below: Canvas Cali omelette: 6.5/10, omelette was slightly overcooked, potatoes from bag Salmon: 8/10 Wings: 8.5/10, but the sauce should have been the same temp as the chicken Lobster Mac and Cheese: 9/10 - lobster was very well seasoned (batter tasted like fried chicken) Mac needed to be more cheesy French toast: awful 2/10 - bread was thin, hard, and cold

Shrimp and grits, came w/5 I ate a few before taking the pic.

I thought by the menu the food would be better. The plus, didn't have to wait to be seated, our server was great, and the food didn't take long to come out. The shrimp and grits had a plate full of grits with 5 shrimp. The flavor was good but noted to add additional protein like my spouse did and got the fried catfish. The mini chicken and waffles were great. From the other reviews it wasn't as bad but I'm in no rush to return either. But I wasn't disappointed and think it should be given a try.

I had the chicken n waffles from canvas as a takeout order. The waffle was ok, but the chicken was dry. I don't think I'd order the chicken again. But I'd try other things on the menu.

Came for brunch on Saturdays around 1:00pm and there was plenty availability which shocked me. Service was good and food even better! I ordered the Fried lobster tail with red velvet waffles, scrambled eggs and potatoes. Very good! Had a grande mimosa which I didn't enjoy (I think the flavors I chose weren't a good mix) also had a lemon drop and that was great! Hookah was good but they only had two flavors. Will definitely go again to try more items on the menu. The vibe was cool as there was a few birthdays being celebrated. Great music and atmosphere. Gave 4 stars bc the table was wobbly at two places we sat.

Initially, I resisted choosing Coopers due to its lack of aesthetic decor and worries about how it would compare to pricier local venues requiring steep deposits. However, turning to Coopers turned out to be the best decision we could have made for a celebration of life repass. The staff accommodated our diverse group seamlessly. Cheri and the servers delivered next-level service, expertly managing a large crowd and handling every drink order with absolute grace. They seated family and friends up on a riser while thoughtfully arranging floor seating for our mature guests in their 80s using walkers and wheelchairs. While the venue's interior is basic, the food was the true highlight for everyone from ages 1 to 100. The Meats: The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection, and the baked chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. The smothered pork chops with onions were so tender they could be cut with a fork, and the hot wings were a massive hit that disappeared quickly. The peel-and-eat shrimp was well-seasoned, and the shrimp fried rice--though a unique spin with plenty of shrimp and vegetables--was just average. The only real miss was the fried fish (Tilapia or Whiting), which had a fishy smell that could be resolved by washing it after defrosting. Pig feet looked tender and well seasoned I was told. The Sides: The candied yams were the undisputed star of the side dishes with just the right amount of sugar and syrup. The mashed potatoes tasted genuinely homemade, and the cabbage was a hit for most with a nice flavor profile. The collard greens, green beans, and macaroni and cheese drew mixed reviews, leaning middle-of-the-road, while the salad bar and cold salads like potato and macaroni salad were solid additions. Vegan/Vegatrian - Salad bar (Please ask question on the other sides) Collard Greens and String Beans may have meat or meat broth. Pescatarian - Peel and eat shrimp and fried fish STANDING OVATION to the cooks in the back they need more recognition of being able to cook for a diverse age and taste buds. Please keep in mind these cooks are cooking for a large diverse crowd some patrons have food restrictions due to medical issues and cannot have highly seasoned and spicy foods. So, the cooks cannot be creative with the seasons like other restaurants or your home. A must try is the Chicken (Fried and Baked), Smothered Pork Chops, Turkey Wings(Sunday), Cabbage and Yams. These are solid staples everyday of the week. Coopers restuarant offered incredible value, avoiding the exorbitant hundreds or thousands of dollars charged by traditional catering halls/restuarants for uncertain headcounts, and ensured we didn't waste food. Most importantly, it gave us a spacious, welcoming environment to fellowship and honor a loved one together. If you need a accommodating venue with great food and reasonable pricing for a large group, seriously consider Coopers restuarant.
