The administration is unprofessional, unresponsive, and does not practice what they preach. Administration has driven away many families and staff members. They consistently avoids parents, rarely returns phone calls or emails, and has created an environment where parents are shut out completely. You are not allowed to communicate with teachers directly, not even by email, unless you go through administration. Parents are not allowed into the building, and there are no classroom events or volunteer opportunities. It is clear they do not want parent involvement at all. At one point, it took more than two weeks and multiple attempts before anyone from administration responded to a simple email. Even teachers admitted that communication from leadership is severely lacking. What is most frustrating is the double standard. Students are held to impossibly high expectations and harshly punished for simple mistakes, yet staff and administration are not held accountable for their own failures. The hypocrisy is staggering. As paying customers, parents should be treated with respect and provided with timely, professional communication. Instead, families are ignored and dismissed. Over 20 families left this year alone, which should speak volumes. The owner chooses to look the other way rather than acknowledge these ongoing problems. It is truly unfortunate, because there are a few very sweet and caring teachers at this school, but they too are being driven away. This school is failing its students, families, and staff. Do not waste your time or money here. Now that we have left and experienced other private schools, I felt compelled to share just how unsettling our experience was in hopes of saving other parents from the same frustration.

If you're not christian? Good luck! They have no other plan for you and you have to sit for hours at a time for mass and much more. If you appear to be disabled, some staff were extremely rude and genuinely lied about students behavior to get them in trouble for no reason and/or picked on them. One math teacher I had screamed at me and other students constantly and taught with fear rather then patience, I used to cry because she would pick on me over and over again in class because I have a sleeping disorder and mental illness so I wasn't preforming well. Do you like being discriminated against based on how you act and dress? Fear not this place will do that to you! If you wear a non normal fashion they will target you and follow you around in the mornings to make sure you don't have anything thats not allowed in dress code. The rules are made up. by the teachers half the time It says so in the student handbook. Most teachers were great but the disciplinary department is so awful. If you want your kids to cry every night because they don't think they're good enough then send them here. Send them to BL or any other school but this one, I will never forget a lot of the trauma I experienced here and I'm disgusted by this school because I paid for it.

Not even a star. My son attended classes at PCA from second grade to almost end of high school…read more During that time, he was bullied by the teacher and staff to the point he decided that attending public school was a better fit. He was very deep into football and the football coach ran his offense as if the children were in college, meanwhile all the classes are accelerated. My son felt frustrated and alone with out support. There are no real christian values taught to show in his practical life. For as much as these folks wave the bible, they ridicule and bully their student body. The worst decision I made ever made, dont make this decision to take your kid there without knowing that these folks are mean, they are not forgiving and they dont have one christian bone in their judgemental bodies. Its run like a cult where everyone has to drink the water and their message with out question. No one is given compassion. If you call and decide to have a conference with the upper management or teachers, you will learn that your having a conference with the whole team, which makes you feel like their on the offensive before you even discuss your grievance. Speaking and talking to people as an adult about your grievances' isnt really permitted either. If you were really speaking outside of the school on the interaction and support about the school and the parents were not being recorded, they would tell you everything is horrible and its really not a good place but for fear of losing their son or daughters favor in the school, everyone remains quiet. The teachers and principles are all nepo babies and each person has been a track coach, a principal, a guidance counselor....then their husband or wife gets dragged in and becomes a part of the "team" where your not really learning from the best people but just who is avaliable and will subscribe to their "way of doing things" Its not a nice place for my son to grow up and I am glad I got out before he lost his sense of freedom and his self esteem. He left his junior year, and he worked harder to achieve because public school doesnt accept religious classes as history but I dont regret his decision to move on. In the end he made it to college just fine. Were fine but felt a need to speak my families truth. If you wanna waste your families money and time, send them to this school, point blank. My family makes good money and we are educated so this isnt an assessment from someone reckless, just someone that doesnt like to be bullied. Thank you

It saddens and frustrates me a little to read the negative reviews of PCA by students who attended…read morehere and missed the entire message of the love and transformational power of Christ. PCA is a Christian school - unapologetically standing on the Word of God for authority and guidance in all matters, including those pertaining to life, culture, gender, sexuality, etc. Those students who are unwilling to follow Biblical principles relating to God's design for gender and sexuality will find PCA frustrating not because the students and faculty are unloving or not caring, but because they are running counter to God's best for their lives. Period. My wife and I both work at PCA, all three of our children have attended PCA, and we have loved our time here at this school. PCA places Christ at the center of all that is done and while some have "complained" that PCA is an economically elite school, I have been amazed to see how far this school will go to make a Kingdom education available to any family that wants it! PCA raises and gives away literally millions of dollars for families to be able to attend - and PCA is at the forefront of trying to educate our state legislators on different educational funding opportunities to help address the cost of private education - instead of blaming PCA for providing an excellent education, those who are frustrated with the cost should be contacting their state legislators and asking why other states have passed laws that make private education more affordable and Texas hasn't. I personally know the students who have taken the time to write their negative reviews and I feel sorry for their anger and frustration, but again, their perspective of the school is really more of a commentary on their perspective on Biblical Christianity itself. If you want a school that adheres to the principles of Scripture and isn't tossed to and fro by the winds of the current cultural chaos, the comments of these students should help you understand that PCA isn't willing to compromise on Biblical truth. My prayers are with those students that they would one day know the truth and the truth would set them free.

Things went from good to worse depending on the behavior of the girl that would bully her and bully other students. The last time I talked about this to the school principal, she said that we needed to have "grace" for the girl that was a bully. After three years of this going on, that was the expectation. So my daughter could be bullied but the expectation for her was to have "grace" give the bully the "opportunity to learn from it". This knowing that other parents had complained about the same kid for several times. Now, she's at a school that holds the students accountable and has an actual policy against bullying and does not tolerate it.

My daughter attended Archgate for 7 years. When she was in the primary program, our experience was…read moreoverwhelmingly positive. The teachers she had (Mrs. Sherwood and Mrs. Khalid) were very kind, communicative, and involved. We trusted them totally and completely, and felt safe sending our daughter to school every day despite her having multiple severe allergies. Unfortunately, once we transitioned to the elementary level, that level of communication and care declined. We were assured that her next guides would be updated with all the info about her allergies as well as where she was academically. She was assigned to the Redbud classroom, and the guides had no clue of her history. Through the next 3 years we experienced a pattern of forgetfulness, poor communication, and resistance to collaboration. When my daughter entered first grade she was advancing ahead in some areas, and by third grade she was behind, even in subjects she loved and was obsessed with. Myself and a few other parents felt as if our children were not getting individualized care (the whole point of Montessori), and there was a common theme of kids needing help and not receiving it. There were also continuous patterns of the guides not knowing what's going on with our children socially. Which compared to primary care, we didn't even have to ask questions. They knew our children as if they were their own. On top of this, the school identifies as a nut-free school, but it is not enforced once you get to elementary. We had multiple Incidences where my daughter was exposed to life threatening allergens in her own classroom, and the guides seemingly forgot she was allergic. There was no structured process for monitoring food brought in for class celebrations or snacks, and there was zero empathy or acknowledgement in their errors. As a parent of a child with serious allergies, this was incredibly alarming. We enrolled my daughter before they broke ground for the new building. We had a fantastic experience and had excellent communication with all the staff. My opinion is the school has grown too quickly without putting the right systems and oversight in place to support that growth. There appears to be a serious gap in consistency, accountability, and responsiveness... especially in the elementary program. Ultimately, there wasn't much effort in addressing what happened, so we had to make the heartbreaking decision to withdraw our daughter mid-year because we could no longer trust that her safety and emotional well-being would be protected. I share this review not out of anger, but from a deep sense of responsibility to other families, especially those with children who have health concerns. Our hope is that by sharing our experience, the school will reflect and take steps toward improving its standards of care, communication, and follow-through.
