Such a cute brewery in this little Nebraksa lake town! The brewery is right across the road from the State Recreation Area. Plenty of seating with a covered patio as well. Food and beer menu was extensive! We tried the kettle sour, as well as hazy IPA beermosas (with OJ). Also had the chips and dip and the cuban sandwich. Staff was friendly and welcoming!! Can't wait to return. read more

Great find on our drive through! We had a flight and ended up getting an extra two beers we liked them so much! We chatted with the owner who was really lovely, watched some olympics on one of their many TVs and had amazing pretzel sticks. The pretzel were kind of like bread sticks in looks but really good and 3 of them for the order that came with an amazing beer cheese (tasted better than the average beer cheese imo) AND a cinnamon butter dip that was awesome and the perfect end to a great stop. What a great spot to relax and grab a bite to eat. My girlfriend and I are staying with family on the lake, and this brewery was a fantastic treat. This newly renovated space is clean and modern, with a great menu and selection of rotating beers. Our waiter was pleasant, the staff was helpful, and they even have samples and flights to help you figure out what you may want. Our food was also delicious and speedy. Probably some of the best nachos we have had in a while, with great toppings and a decent price for the size of the platter. If you're looking for a great place to hang out, this is definitely it. The outdoor patio was also welcoming and there is plenty of room inside and out of the restaurant! I would highly recommend the Jalepeño Cream Ale. Definitely something exotic, but a fantastic beer. read more

Avoid this place in the age of COVID-19. My friend and I stopped here on a moving trip across the US on 9/24/20 and this was the only place throughout our entire trip where NO ONE was wearing a mask inside. The place was packed and when I walked in with my mask on, I was stared at as if I had two heads. It's one thing if the patrons weren't wearing masks while social distancing (which they didn't because EACH table inside was packed, and they weren't spaced apart), but the really wild thing was to see that not a single staff member had a mask on. When I walked up to ask about seating outside, the server behind the bar looked pointedly at my mask, and said "yeah, but it'll be a LONG wait." The place was busy and I didn't have much desire to breathe my road trip germs all over the folks of Elwood, NE so I was thinking about maybe grabbing stuff to-go, but when I noticed that none of the staff had masks on, I walked right out and told my friend that we'd have to find someplace else to find some food. Avoid this place like the plague, as they didn't seem to care one way or the other whether or not they'd catch it. read more

Disappointing. We've been here before and now wondering what happened. Service was dismissive at best, basically ignored while on patio (with NO shade) apparently because we had dogs. Really really disappointed. I had difficulty getting their attention to pay the tab, was about to walk out when she could finally be bothered. Bad service = bad tips, remember? read more

The hot wings are amazing. Tossed in bbq with blue cheese. Top 2 or 3 all-time. Canyon sauces are great especially the lemon aoli on the club. Sweet potato fries. Service at lunch is 6 star. Great atmosphere plus keno. read more

Tonight was my first visit to Canyon lakes. The serve was trash! After 26 minutes the server came back and said she lost our order, even the drink order. We also waited 13 to be served when we got seated. It was horrible serve!!! i will never be back read more

As we came to this location from the south, and not realizing how close it is to Lexington, it felt to us like we had stumbled upon some rare and far-flung brewery in the middle of nowhere. And we were glad to have found it, for the beer brewed here is quite good! We had several flights and a pint to back them up, along with lunches. The outdoor area is nice and it was great to sit outside and enjoy the day while sampling some lighter beers, which tended toward the fruited end of the spectrum. All were enjoyable, and I would happily stop back in if I were in the area. read more

Loved the food, cheeseburger and onion rings with a side of ranch. Went in with 9 other people and they absolutely killed it. Will definitely be back. The hazy IPA and corn row are some great brews. They have fishing league on Wednesday night so that was cool to see as well. My new favorite at Johnson lake. Bathrooms are spotless and it's cool to see where they brew the beer. Cool atmosphere, good beer variety, and tasty food. But....the service is absolute garbage. I've visited there frequently throughout the summer hoping it may improve each time but never has. It's hard to get upset with the waiters/waitresses when their very large manager (I assume) is lazy as hell and just sits behind the counter the entire time. She does very little (if anything) to help or guide them in doing their job. No idea how she hasn't been fired yet, and it's she happens to be the owner she'll be broke within a year because she clearly has no clue how to run a successful operation. read more

If you are looking for a nice place to eat and is family-owned this good place. It has a bad service there and no wifi. It's really pretty inside and decorated. They keep the place clean, but my only problem is there heavier set dark hair women, she was very rude to me, my friend, and her sister. She didn't seem like she wanted to work there. I would say replace her and find someone who actually wants to be there or teach her how to wait on people. read more

Excellent service with great beer and good food. I got the Canyon Lakes porter with a burger and yummy sweet potato fries. They have a nice patio area and indoor seating. Even though it was hot outside, there was a cool breeze under the umbrellas and it was pleasant as we ate. Dalton, our server, gave us some tips on things to do in the area since we are not from this area. It was fun to be able to see the beer brewing. I'd recommend this brewery for a meal and beer! read more

Heard good things about this place , so decided to try it out . Wasn't disappointed. Several different styles of brews to choose from , all were very good. I especially liked the oatmeal stout, not a Guinness but comparable. The food menu was kind of small but what we tried was exceptional. The Cuban sandwich was excellent. Out for a Sunday drive around the lake don't forget to stop you won't be disappointed. Well worth the drive. read more

For a brewery there were no beer menus on any of the tables and it was happy hour, although you wouldn't know this as no menus and our waiter didn't even know all of the beers on tap! Beer is that of a new brewery--- they have a ways to go as the Pilsner SHOULD be an easy drinking beer with no bitter taste but it wasn't! Porter should have great flavor with a smooth finish -- it wasn't, more of a stout finish! read more

My wife and I had just driven during the day from Chicago and were staying overnight in Lexington. We found this brewery! Well... it was wonderful! We had their Kolsch, Pilsner and Blonde beers, all of which were excellent. The brewery was organized very well for dealing with Covid-19 issues. We both felt very comfortable sitting at the bar where everyone was socially distanced and having great fun. If you are traveling along I80 then we suggest (recommend) you stop here. read more

We just had the best nachos, onion rings, wings and beer here. It was the perfect treat on a Wednesday afternoon after boating and jet skiing. Vicki, one of the owner, came out to greet us and she couldn't have been nicer. We loved learning about their family business. Her son and husband create their amazing beers. We tried several kinds and loved them all. Her daughter helps serve and run the bar and Vicki cooks in the kitchen. Our server, Dalton was charming. It was easy to tip this guy well. It is also easy to give this beautiful, tasty and friendly establishment a 5 star thumbs up. Thank you!! read more
