We dropped in for lunch after seeing the great ratings. The food really was great tasting and high quality, but this half sandwich was EIGHT DOLLARS and only served with a pickle slice. I think the whole sandwich was $10, so we definitely felt gouged (and still hungry)!

Stopped in for something sweet but didn't have donuts or many pastries. I bought a bagel and a egg/ham/cheese on sandwich on bread instead. Honestly the BEST breakfast sandwich I've ever had and the price was good. Would recommend this spot! read more

If you are looking for a delicious breakfast made with real local food Madeline's cafe is the place. If you are traveling down interstate 80 in Nebraska, do yourself a favor and stop at Madeline's cafe. Very clean and Covid aware. We had delicious omelettes and excellent breakfast sandwich on a fresh bagel but the best of all are the GF pumpkin donuts! I would never have bought them knowing they were gluten free but they are to die for. Hurry and get there ASAP! There may not be any donuts left! read more

I like everything about this gourmet restaurant,from how clean it is to how things are served. It's always a good experience. From the coffee to the pastries to the soups and sandwiches, everything is better than average. I'm surprised there aren't more reviews about this great place. It's probably one of Lexington's best kept secrets. By the way, they have a nice page on Facebook where you can see the menu and the specials for each day. read more

The original owner of Madeline’s named the shop after her grandmother, and we think that’s a wonderful preface to the continually Women owned and operated businesses that the surrounding area has come to rely on. We’ve changed hands several times since we first opened, but the current owner is dedicated to keeping Madeline’s reputation and legacy alive, by continually providing our town’s diverse community with quality food, friendly service, and an inviting atmosphere.

Meet the Business Owner: Mataya S.

Mataya's first experience with Madeline's was when she was a kid. Her mom had taken her in for lunch, and they had had the special of the day: a Turkey, Apple, and Gouda Panini. It changed Mataya's life. Ten years later, at the age of 21, she bought the place. Mataya proudly continues the Madeline's tradition of asking customers to try something new, and step out of their comfort zones- you never know when a sandwich is going to change your destiny.

I didn't see à bathroom. The white chocolate scone was delicious and soft and we ate it too quickly I didn't get a picture. My strawberry raspberry banana green tea was pretty good. I could definitely taste the green tea so if you don't like that as extra syrup. The coffee was everything he wanted and more. And a crocheted bumblebee and handmade candles. It's right off the freeway so if you're passing through do stop for a delicious coffee and treat yourself to an adorable little gift.
