Unfortunately as I was pulling in the manager called the let me know my masseuse had called in sick and they could only rebook my massage to start 1.5 hours after the original time. I was disappointed, but I made the best of it and thankfully had a flexible schedule that day. I ended up ordering tea and lunch from the Tea Bar. Unfortunately the matcha was out of stock, but I opted for another green tea and the crab cake. It was raining the day I was there so I didn't end up using the pool. I really like my facial with Ruth. She was amazing and had lovely energy. I would definitely rebook. My massage was okay, but despite a few requests for more pressure, I was told that was the max she could do. I have had a lot of massages, but have never encountered that before

I decided to come here for a full spa day as a treat on my birthday. I booked a massage and wanted to hang out and use all the amenities available. I left very disappointed. I booked a deep tissue massage. I expected a relaxing and meditative experience, and let my masseuse know that I struggle with shoulder pain from playing tennis for years. He proceeded to walk me through a sort of physical therapy session? Like, imagine doing the physical therapy exercises/reps for tennis elbow. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing to do during a deep tissue massage but it wasn't exactly relaxing. I also don't think it was very effective since those sessions are typically done multiple times. He barely worked on the rest of my body and only focused on my right shoulder. After he was done, he didn't give me any time to relax by myself before telling me to get dressed and that my hour was up. After my massage session, I decided to use the hot tub and relax in the lobby, which was fine. There were minimal complimentary refreshments compared to some other spas i've been to. I wanted to get ready for the rest of my birthday (dinner with friends) at the spa so I decided to wash my hair. I brought my own hair dryer and my makeup products. In the middle of my shower, the power completely went out. There was no announcement from the attendants about what was going on. They just continued on as usual. I rinsed my hair out (in the dark!) but it was still wet and needed to be dried immediately. After asking an attendant, they said the power goes off regularly and that they had no clue when it would be back on. If I had known this, I would never have tried to get ready at the spa! I might not have even booked there. I had to leave the spa early and go home because my hair was very time sensitive. I did not get comped. I didn't even get an apology. I walked out of the spa into the cold day with fully wet hair on my birthday. Definitely not worth the price point it's at and should come with a warning tag about the power outages.

The best part was when she told me the story about her produce, she sources all her food locally with her daughter, every single fruit or vegetable that enters her shop, they hand pick it with love. Thank god I don't have regular medical issues to need to shop at a pharmacy regularly. I came in…read morehere to find a specific OTC nasal spray after my husband's surgery, after checking both of the nearby grocery stores with no luck (partly because Safeway now has their entire pharmacy section behind glass). About 50% of the aisles here are behind glass, and it's absolute chaos. The same exact medicine in the same exact box will be both behind glass and not behind glass in different sections of the same aisle. Different formulations of the same thing, different sizes, name brand or generic, there's no logic whatsoever as to what's behind glass and what isn't, or even what section of the aisle something is in. I found the same medicine on opposite ends of the same aisle, both behind glass and not in both sections. So you're left trying to compare the ones you can get without calling over the *one employee in the store* to open it for you. You're scrounging the entire aisle, looking at the fine print on every product to see if it's just another brand's equivalent name for what you're looking for, comparing prices and added ingredients on everything. Trying to decide whether the one you can just pick up off the shelf is the one you want or whether it's worth calling over the employee to open the shelf for you so that you can even look at the other options. And then I got a headache and just bought the cheapest one I could pick up off the shelf. Good thing I already have headache medicine at home, not sure I'd survive trying to find it here. I'm never coming back.

The layout of the store makes you walk the farthest amount to get to anything medically related. I am limping. I had to go get an Ace bandage. I had to walk all the way to the farthest corner from the front door, past candy, alcohol, and 'seasonal things', as well as the Hallmark aisle,-- to get to pain-relief medicine and ankle support). Tell me that wasn't done by design?

I was told the Pharmacy Manager wasn't available, so I asked to speak with any manager. The manager told me he thinks the Pharmacy Manager's name was "Lau" (he spelled it) and that the pharmacist answering the phones might be "Shemma." I told him that I had already been disconnected multiple times and was just trying to get my prescription. The manager wasn't rude, but it didn't really feel like I was talking to someone who was concerned about fixing the issue. I expected a little more urgency since why are the pharmacy staff acting like they answering calls and disconnecting them on "accident". Instead, the only solution offered was to transfer me back to the pharmacy and let them know I was waiting on the phone. When someone answered, I asked if her name was Shemma. She immediately responded, "Nope," and transferred me. I was connected to Shemma. I realized she wasn't the same person that had disconnected my earlier calls because her voice sounded different from the employee who had answered before. Since Shemma stayed on the line, I decided to ask about my medication and a possible prescription transfer between Walgreens locations. I explained that my regular Walgreens told me that if this location had the medication in stock, they could request the prescription transfer. Shemma told me, "No, I can't do that. Call that Walgreens to transfer it." This completely conflicted with what I had already been told, and I felt like I was being talked over. My biggest concern is still the employee who initially answered the phone. After one of the disconnections, I called back and asked for her name first because I wanted to know who was disconnecting the calls. I figured if the call got disconnected again, at least I would know who I had spoken with. When I asked for her name, she responded, "Sure," and the call was disconnected. This is another reason I strongly recommend asking for the employee's name at the beginning of the call. I feel like people are less tough when they know you know who they are. If you need to follow up, file a complaint, or reference a specific interaction, having the employee's name can make that process a lot easier. With that being said, I don't need my prescription to be filled here anymore. Goodluck to ya if you have to call this pharmacy.
