I have tried everything to get rid of my unwanted facial hair. I was teased growing up due to my facial hair and being a young lady. I started bleaching it, then bleaching didn't work. I started using hair removal creams then the creams didn't work. I tried waxing but I would break out terribly. At age 12 I had multiple sessions of laser hair removal and this totally made the situation worse because they shave the area to be treated before the laser hair removal treatments. Since I had this done on my face I then had to start shaving my face daily. As I continued to shave my face daily the hair continued to grow in darker and thicker. I had such bad hair growth that I would have a five o'clock shadow on my face by mid-day. I thought this would be the story of my life. Wake up every morning and shave my face, which made me feel very unfeminine. I had truly given up on all methods of hair removal. I would prey every night that God would take the hair off of my face. Believe me I would do anything to not have to shave my face again. I am now 25 years old and have being dealing with unwanted facial hair for more than half of my life. I went into Elan and spoke with Dr, Andrew and of course with this being such an emotional thing for a young lady like myself I began to cry as I told her all the things I have tried to get rid of my facial hair. Dr. Andrew is such a wonderful compassionate doctor and person that she really wanted to help me feel better about myself and said she wanted to help me get rid of my facial hair. I must admit that with all my failed attempts I was skeptical about the Trios IPL hair removal treatments, but I had tried everything so I decided to try one more thing. LET ME JUST SAY THIS IS A MIRACLE MACHINE AND DR. ANDREW IS AN ANGEL!!! After only one treatment I noticed a huge improvement. I had many areas on my face no longer growing hair and some of the worse areas began to lighten. I personally do not recommended!! I wasted $2000. 3 months of HRT apparently wasn't enough time for me to see results.. My experience was; they had the pharmaceutical company sends me the hormones to my home, (at least 6 Months worth) but I was instructed to hand it over to the office. And because I wasn't seeing results, I didn't want to pay another $750 just for 3 months (VIP fee) So, they cut me off VIP and kept the hormones I paid for. While on the hormones, my energy level plummeted, I started to experience cystic acne. And I have never had acne before in my life. After I got off the hormones, I got very painful acne on my scalp. I saw a doctor, and he said it was due to the hormonal imbalance created by getting on and off Hormones. I did the program as instructed, even added HCG along with it, but had zero positive results. Another thing.. I called the office to discuss extreme fatigue, and the acne several times and they never answered the phone. I left messages, and never got a call back. I always had to drive all the way there to talk to office staff. -Yelp, if I need to reword this - I'll be happy to. I came here to receive a liquid facelift and when The procedure was done there was no improvement. The procedure is expensive and the results were just not there. My follow up was a disaster waiting 25 mins to see the doctor who is always running late and didn't even know why I was there. My friend had purchased a Groupon for a Juvederm treatment at Elan Medical. I had the injections on July 9, 2012 by Dr. Andrew. It turned out to be a very negative experience. I ended up with a hard lump area under my skin to the left side of my nose on the cheek side, which makes the crease below my nose more pronounced than before. I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Andrew 9 days after the original treatment. She told me that she did not put the Juvederm there - it must have moved. She suggested to take Ibuprophen for the swelling, or she could give me a prescription for Prednizone! When I asked her about the longevity of the Juvederm she told me about 6 months, but I could have the treatment reversed. However, there would be an additional charge of $650. Needless to say, I wasn't interested in that, so she told me that I should look at it that way, "You got a good deal through Groupon!" In the mean time it has been 2 months since my treatment and the lump is still there you can feel it under my skin. I have been very disappointed in that Dr. Andrew does not back up her work. Therfore, I would strongly discourage anybody to undergo a treatment by her. read more

First time Botox didn't work for me.. I had 32 units and made it quite clear I was only concerned with the area right between my eyes. I have been doing this for the last 10 years only once or twice a year and never had such poor results. On top of that I felt bruised for 3 weeks (not normal). The dr. Wanted to check her work a month later which I thought was good however when I let them know I wasn't happy with the results I was told the older you get the more you need. My results to the 6 week weight loss was almost right on. Had to stop a couple of times because of cycle and then because I lost lots of nutrients I was peeing blood. When I decided to add some salt back in to my diet I notice the immediate change of not peeing blood anymore. However I think this diet is definitely the quickest way to see fast results of losing weight. On another note I have to say I don't like how the price jumps from a decent range to high range. Called today to ask about starting the diet again but for 21 days, wow, the price is more than the amount I paid for 6 weeks. Price jumps like hotels do during special events. read more

I have had botox injections in my forehead several times at other medical spas and have always been pleased with the results, however, this was NOT the case with Elan Med Spa. First off, I was told that I would need 20 units of botox which is TWICE AS MUCH as I have ever had in the past!! 10 units has always given me optimal results and being that this was a maintenance trip, if anything I would require less, not twice as much as before. I immediately thought either this doctor doesn't know what she's doing or she's just trying to make money off me. I told her that I only needed 10 units and next thing I know, she starts injecting my forehead with NO SKIN PREP WHATSOEVER! I'm talking not even an alcohol swab of my skin!! Because of this, I had numerous visible injection marks for the next few days not to mention swelling that reminded me of horns that took weeks to fully disappear. Point blank, if you don't know what you're doing, DON'T INJECT PEOPLE'S FACES!!! I'm just glad this wasn't my first time with botox or I would have paid twice as much for terrible results.
