Had my check engine light on. Went and checked at an oreillys to see what it was.. came up as a cylinder 3 misfire. My fiancé is in the AF and said he'd heard good things about Canyon View (and thankfully it was very close to where I live) so I decided to give it a shot. Brought it in and they did all the tests and everything seemed to be running okay, changed spark plugs because they needed it but still wasn't the problem. Bill had me try a few small tricks to try and clean out the engine (can't quite remember what things exactly this was November-December), but those didn't quite work so I decided to take it to the dealership but they wouldn't give me any straight answers except wanting to take out my engine and charge me heavily. Came back to Canyon View and Bill had me try this additive to the engine oil that no one I know had heard of and could only buy online. The day after I did that plus an oil change and the light turned off and hasn't come back since. Truly such a good place to go. I'm a girl and know little about cars and they didn't make me feel shitty about it and explained things very well. Even asked me to call and let them know how things were going even if the light did go off. Really good people. Highly recommend. read more

This review is a bit delayed as my experience with then wad in February this year. I was picking up my daughter's vehicle at a recovery facility after it was stolen. Brought my car in for an alignment, was still pulling right a little bit so they told me to get my tires rotated. When I brought it back to have them check it out again, they found a serious issue with my steering column. While the technician was test driving my car almost pulled him off the road. They spent several hours diagnosing the problem and made sure that my safety was the upmost priority. Found out it was covered under my dealership warranty and could be taken care of. They didn't charge me for figuring this out and I am so grateful for working so hard on this problem! Best service in town! read more

My son was driving from southern CA across the country when his car overheated. When searching Yelp I came across Canyon View Automotive. Bill told me get the car to him and he'd look at it right away. He did exactly that and the problem turned out to be a leaking radiator cap. In an industry where honesty and integrity are everything, it's great to know there are people like Bill and his team. I don't live in Tucson and was handling this remotely so we were pretty vulnerable. He charged my son $15....I'm sure he lost money to help us out. I spent $1300 to get a power steering issue and a transmission coolant line "repaired." The power steering is still not fixed, even though they claim to have replaced everything, and the transmission coolant line still leaks, after being replaced twice. I've been here a couple of times due to being conveniently located near Vail, but don't make the mistake I did. read more
