    A perfect pour.

We were part of a larger group that visited Cape Cod Irish Village for Super Bowl weekend. It was our first time seeing the new location. The Check-In process was very efficient considering the large amount of people arriving on Friday afternoon. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Some of the furnishings could use updating but they were clean and serviceable nonetheless. The weekend package included two breakfasts and two dinners in the Dining Room. The Friday Dinner menu was a little limited but there were several appetizers and meals to choose from. I had the Tempura Cauliflower with Sweet Chili Sauce appetizer. It was delicious and the portion was enough for 4 people. I opted for the Shepherds Pie for the Main Course and it was perfect. Dessert selection was a little bit lacking. I had the homemade Chocolate Cupcake. The frosting was very good but the cake itself was a little dry. I think that's understandable considering the amount of guests. The remaining meals were all equally as good and the Dining Room servers were all very friendly, attentive and efficient. Meal highlights were the Prime Rib, Steak Tips and of course a pint of Guinness a perfect pour). There was a Disco Party on Saturday evening. I didn't attend but those who did had a great time. We watched the Super Bowl in The Ballroom on Sunday. The Audio and Video quality were excellent and the game was projected on two large screens. The game didn't go as hoped but we had a great time. Overall, an excellent weekend and we plan on being back next year.

This is the WORST and grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived we were greeted with the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the lobby. Our room did not have a deadbolt on it, floor and door trims were missing, stained lampshades, mold on the ceiling, and a bathroom that has never been cleaned..... complete with bugs on the floor! The shower did not drain and we were up to our ankles in water. The hotel room was so gross and musty, we purchased dehumidifiers to combat the stickiness. We were here for a wedding and not by choice, by all means find somewhere else to stay even if this is the recommended hotel!!!

    Holes in the decking.

Met with the owner, great man. He owned the situation, apologized, and offered a solution. He has newly acquired the property and it will be undergoing renovations and staff training. We wish him all the best!

Until that happens, you might want to know more. Moreover, if only the conference center has been sold (as news reports), still applies to the lodging. The property has so much potential but its failings dimmish it greatly. It is dated and many things are broken, dirty or non-functional. I was here two years ago (attended a conference) and stayed offsite. This year (same conference) I thought it would be nice to stay on site, and I regret it. My room is large, and the bed is comfortable however there is a terrible odor of must, or mildew or mold. It is overpowering. The entire wing my room is in smells of this. The air conditioner is noisy, and the odd refrigerator placed on a small table is also noisy. The hallway floors are lifting and squishy as if they may have been water damaged. Lamps are broken and power outlets are limited and oddly located. There is no place to sit at a desk or table in the overly large room. The main resort area and conference rooms is full of gnats (or fleas? or fruit flies?). I will say the resort is affordable - and that may be due to the poor quality of the facility. I can see it being attractive to families who may be on a limited budget, have amenities for the kids and things to do off site. For the most part, I do not recommend. Which is sad, I want to, it has potential, but it is too dated and dilapidated. Perhaps with the funds they get from the partial sale they will be able to invest.

Hopefully you don't have any work to be done because their internet is spotty at best. Don't expect to find a free coffee or tea area in the morning... there is none. But for $3 you can get a small cup. The hallways definitely smell musty and while my room didn't seem musty there was an ultra loud dehumidifier in place. The bathroom was clean. Weird stains on one of the blankets. I usually stay in Eastham or Orleans so I probably won't be back. The staff was nice, especially the girl who sold me the coffee.

The hotel is quite large and we were given a room in the back area of the hotel which had several entrance doors (using the key) and plenty of parking. The check in process was easy and straight forward. The room was large with 2 queen beds, tv, mini fridge and a microwave. A very clean and tastefully decorated room, with a comfy chair and futon right by the window which looked out on the courtyard. Loved the decorative Cape Cod pillow. Our request for extra pillows was quickly honored. We were probably about 20 to 30 steps from the indoor pool and we were worried it might be noisy, but heard nothing from our room. A quiet and tranquil stay. We did not swim, but did check out the pool area and it was spacious and inviting. The shower had great water pressure with plenty of hot water, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash supplied. We loved the shelving in bathroom to house the towels. We very much enjoyed our stay, the price was very reasonable and would highly recommend. 4.5 stars.

I had to order a second bowl of it because I was enjoying it so much. It might sound crazy, but I wish they bottled it. I ordered the Chicken and Steak fajitas. They were incredible. They have large portions and it instantly hit you with that amazing charred flavor. The chicken was seasoned great and the steak was juicy and cooked right to medium rare like I asked. The only negatives I can think of is that the rice is a bit bland and I think that Guacamole should come with the fajitas instead of it being an up charge. I wish I could rate it a 4.5, but because I come every year and never leave unsatisfied, I'll give them the 5 instead of the 4 star review. Absolutely come here if you are craving some Mexican food while visiting Cape Cod.

As they were unloading, we snuck around them to the front desk. The front desk told us that this was the first of 2 buses that would be staying at the hotel. The front desk clerk checked my wife in while I was unloading the car, and told my wife that she had upgraded us to a nicer room. Our room was a king bedroom suite according to my wife. It was supposedly a little larger than the other rooms. The room had a nice sofa and a work area. A small refrigerator was available for us to use. The bathroom was adequate. The toiletries were the usual bonvoy special. The room was good enough to give a couple of good nights of sleep. Breakfast was served in the morning downstairs. Because of the multitudes of elderly there on a bus tour, they also opened up a conference room for additional seating during the breakfast hours. The breakfast was decent for a Fairfield with scrambled eggs, sausages, breads and fruit. 2 waffle irons were available for you to make waffles. The hotel gym was located on the first floor. It had ellipticals, treadmills and bikes for your cardio equipment. Dumbbells were available for you to lift. Santizing wipes were available for you to clean the equipment. I got to meet a few of the participants on the tour from both Ohio and from the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. They were really nice people with a great sense of humor. They told me that I could be a stoway on the bus. The hotel was good. It was better than I thought it would be. Meeting the nice people on the tour made my stay even better. Nothing to be scared of.

The bathroom was large and while not one of the more modern bathrooms I've seen, it did provide all of the accessories a traveler would need. The room also offered a Keurig coffee machine and a mini fridge in the room. The bed was a large king size bed, the mattress was a bit soft for my preference. We had stayed there for the past 8-10 years during the week after Labor Day, most recently in September of 2025. We always reserved the same room and always made arrangements for the following year before we checked out. We reserved the room for September 2026 during our stay in September 2025 and paid the requested deposit on December 22, 2025. The reservation was confirmed by the Anchor In on December 22, 2025. We reside in South Florida and had traveled to Maine on August 28, 2026 and were staying at a hotel there prior to traveling to the Anchor In for our September stay. Much to our surprise and chagrin and dismay we were contacted by the Anchor In by e-mail on September 2, 2026 to inform us that they had DOUBLE-BOOKED the room and were unable to honor our RESERVATION. Instead, they offered to find us a room at another facility, one at which we had no desire to stay at, and, which was not nearly of an equivalent stature of the Anchor In. The hotel that they chose to send us to was not one with a harbor view and did not have the type of amenities that we preferred. Their excuse was that there had been an error in their reservation system and that they had only recently discovered the error and the DOUBLE BOOKING!!!!! Considering the very short notice from the Anchor In and the fact that we are over 1500 miles from our home and it is the LABOR DAY WEEKEND we have been able to obtain an alternative reservation at a hotel of our choosing!!!!!! I am greatly disturbed at the callous behavior on the part of the Anchor In. The responsibility for the DOUBLE BOOKING lies entirely with the Anchor In. They should have apologized and cancelled the reservation of whomever it was that they chose to put into the room that we had reserved. Instead, they have very rudely inconvenienced us on what would otherwise have been a very enjoyable vacation!!!!
