Beds are Hilton quality. I didn't find any problems. Good room service, prompt with good food. Restaurant food is very good and reasonably priced. I will stay here again. I don't disagree with the place needing to be updated and that it is of an older model. My reason for staying there- lucky enough to have secured a room after the Blizzard of 2026! The room was clean, was warm and had a very nice hot shower. Staff was extremely friendly and you know they have been working their hardest to keep everyone happy. Biggest surprise was the food. Truly outstanding breakfasts, the ones you have after going to Sunday Mass. The other occupants were others without power at home and hundreds of men and women from Eversource that were on Cape to get us all safe and warm in our homes. Therefore, i thank the staff of the Doubletree to give us the amenities of home, doing so with a smile. And i thank the hardworking Eversource folks that began their day early and came back late all in the effort of keeping Cape Cod strong and healthy! read more

Fairfield Inn Cape Cod on October 3 and 4, 2025. The first day of my stay was excellent -- the room was clean, comfortable, and met my expectations. However, the following day I encountered unprofessional and unsanitary conditions that have left me extremely concerned. On Saturday afternoon, I approached the housekeeping staff to request clean towels and politely asked that they not clean my room. The housekeeper I spoke to was dismissive and rude. She asked me to place the used towels on the floor, then handed me a trash bag and instructed me to place the towels inside myself. I found this behavior unprofessional and disrespectful. Worse yet, on Sunday morning, while drying myself after a shower, I was horrified to discover dried blood on one of the supposedly clean towels that the same housekeeper had given me. It was extremely disturbing and unacceptable for a hotel of Marriott's standards. I immediately re-showered and used a clean shirt to dry myself instead. At checkout, I showed the photo of the towel to a front desk employee (a Latina woman), who asked for my phone number on a yellow sticky note and told me the manager would contact me. This doubletree could use a bit of a facelift. It was quite dated and very confusing to navigate. There were so many twists and turns - I have never had such a hard time finding an elevator! The walls are also very thin - we could hear everything from our next door neighbors room. Onto the good - the rooms were huge, parking was easy, staff were nice and there is a great breakfast restaurant right next door! read more

The Double Tree is an older model and does have some standard New England humidity issues inside but overall the Hotel is pretty nice... The ambiance in the garden areas is great, flowers and quiet... there is an onsite restaurant and plenty of seating and the morning service is either a buffet or menu, prices are all under 20bucks... The restaurant offers room service as well... The staff is overwhelmingly professional and friendly, all with smiles and a greeting down the cleaning staff... Water was hot, room was very clean... Why just a 4, it is, as I said, a little older but still very much worth the stay... read more

This facility is just a DoubleTree in name only. Facility is old and highly worn. Appears it has been cobbled together with multiple additions. The DoubleTree quality just was not there. The hotel seemed more like an average Best Western than a quality Hilton property. A major issue is with the cookies. Yes cookies. Doubletree is known for having fresh baked cookies available day or night. In other DoubleTrees that I have stayed at you could get one of their fresh baked cookies from the front desk any time day or night and as often as you wanted. Here, the would give you only one per person at check in. No more. Owner is just cheaping out. Cannot recommend this hotel. read more

On their website they show pretty pictures of the building, lobby and grounds but not a single picture of the rooms. There is a reason for that. This Double Tree is definitely not what you expect from a Hilton hotel. The room was cramped with worn furniture. Stained carpet with holes. Loose light fixtures and stained ceiling. Many rooms require that you carry your luggage up 7 steps and down long hallways. Asked about a 1st floor room and was told that they were reserved for VIP guests. Im a former HH Gold status and was using points for this stay...guess I'm not a VIP anymore. read more

Housekeeping stole my sunglasses. Front desk refused to help and kept saying that doesn't happen at this hotel. There are tons of other places to stay on Cape Cod but we opted to stay here, hoping for courteous service and without theft. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels for my job and this is the first time this has happened. They comped one night of the stay but it still shouldn't happen at any hotel. I stayed in this hotel a really inappropriate number of nights because I travel for work and the work place puts us up here. We have always stayed in the "soaking tub room" which I do believe is larger than most of the rooms. The room size is very generous and includes a sofa, coffee table, bed, desk, and you guessed it, a gigantic soaking tub in the bathroom. The only thing missing is a microwave which can be extremely inconvenient if you are doing anything other than a quick vacation and plan on eating out 24/7. There is a microwave in the lobby but it's a bitch to walk all the way over there with your food and have to see and possibly interact with other people along the way. The king bed is comfortable. The thermostats work well. For the other people saying there is nothing around, main street, which has a gazillion restaurants, is about a 15-20 min walk away and we have done that walk many times. The airport and rental car place is right across the street. There is a very large but old gym downstairs as well as an indoor pool and an outdoor pool. There is also a garden area with a fire pit and a bunch of tables. I typically don't hear much at night but if anyone is loud in the hallways, you will hear it. The staff of this hotel is like unusually nice with the exception of one person. I find it hard to believe sometimes how nice and friendly they are. There is one bartender who I find very funny but this person acts like your presence is irritating whenever you want service. We buy drinks at the bar most nights after returning from work and one night I wanted to use up my daily food and beverage credit so I asked GF to grab a beer for me but not to open it. The following day when I wanted to drink it, we realized it wasn't a twist off and we didn't have a bottle opener. I returned to the bar and unfortunately, this person was working. She adamantly refused to open my beer saying it was "against the law". I told her I had bought it there the previous night but she said "I wasn't working last night so I don't know if that's true". Really dude? Are you calling me a liar? If only there was a computer system where you could see all the charges to my room. Please correct me if I am wrong here but that seems like a strange law. I am a guest at your hotel and isn't it your job to make my time as pleasant as possible? Fortunately they were able to open it at the front desk but I could tell this person got tremendous satisfaction from telling me "no". Otherwise, big shout out to almost every other person who works there. read more

This is the first Yelp review I have ever written. I am particular about hotels. I travel a lot for work and have experienced quite a range in quality. From the other Yelp reviews, I hesitated to book the Hyannis Double Tree, but took the risk. My husband and I were there for a long weekend and were very pleasantly surprised. The exterior of the hotel is lovely. Our room was good looking, nicely maintained, and clean. It offers Crabtree & Evelyn products. There was a mini fridge and microwave that I was not expecting. The hotel is centrally located, e.g. convenient to several beaches, etc. We had breakfast in the Ivy Room twice and found it to be a good value. Note that it is family friendly as there were a lot of children there. There is a small indoor and outdoor pool. The outdoor pool was quite crowded with a lot of families/children. There is a lifeguard on duty. We will definitely return and will request a room on the second floor next time. The weather was so perfect we could have slept with the windows open! read more

We were with a tour group that booked this hotel, so we really didn't have a choice. It's close to the airport and is a serviceable hotel but it's not really close to any dining or shopping. We enjoyed our complimentary DoubleTree cookies, the room was clean, and there was a huge gym (I think it actually might be a fitness club) and a pool. Unfortunately for us, our room was on the first floor right near the outdoor fire pit area so we heard a lot of loud conversations. Our tour included the breakfast buffet, and we did enjoy the variety of hot and cold items offered. If the location were closer to other places, that would have been ideal. read more

First, upon entering the lobby, front desk staff was attentive and inviting. The ground floor was clean and peaceful. The restroom was clean and seating in the lobby is plentiful. I noticed guest enjoying the fire pit which looked warm and inviting. The only thing was when I tried to check in my ID was photo copied without my permission. I told the agent that their policy regarding photo copies should have been disclosed because I feel uneasy about a copy of my ID being kept on file just because. The response I received was less than favorable. I was told that she(the agent) usually tells people but forgot. Okay, it happens but after that, I was turned off and decided not to stay. The other clerk, possibly a supervisor didn't accept payment for the water I tried to purchase. That was very nice. I will try again some other time. Normally I would not take the time to write a review like this. I am so aggravated though it is necessary to share my experience. This hotel was selected simply based upon the proximity to where I needed to be to address some business matters. The photos are deceptive in that this hotel has not been updated since the '90's. No big deal I thought as the room is reasonably clean. The room is on the second floor and up a flight of seven steps after you take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Not an issue as I found someone to help with my luggage. I was here for a week, so packed a lot. I get to the room and find the AC didn't work and the phone disconnected. Called the hotel and they sent maintenance. Nice guy, got the AC working and said the phone would be addressed in the morning. Came back from my meetings, still no phone. Used my cell to try order room service. The front desk told me the extension for room service which I can't call because IM ON MY CELL AND DON'T HAVE AN OPTION TO SELECT AN EXTENSION. After being disconnected repeatedly and trying to explain to the front desk multiple times why I don't simply do it myself, I gave up. Went to the desk the next morning and explained again about the phone. Came back the next day still not connected and endured another round of nonsense only to have "room service" tell me I can't order until after 8 pm. Went down to the restaurant had dinner. Repeat same pattern today. Only today I had the extra special fun of whomever answered the phone in Vesta tell me how "special" it is that I have no phone. Explained again to the condescending person on the line. Have a nice young lady deliver my food and she says they didn't have an item I requested and they had been calling me but I didn't answer my phone. SHOWED HER WHY I DON'T HAVE A PHONE IN ROOM. She then offered to run downstairs get a substitute and come back . Extra tip for her but I promise, a petty annoyance that isn't addressed, and results in an upset guest is bad business. We run a consumer driven business and if I ever have a staff member dismiss a concern with "I only work here one day a week", they would soon find themselves scheduled for no days. If you have read this review to the end, thanks for taking the time. The food is, to be honest, really good. I loved that my room was cleaned daily. Just please be diligent in fixing issues as they arise. It also is a bit uncomfortable having a phone that doesn't work. I travel a lot on business and always stay in Hilton properties. read more

The Young girl at front desk must be related to the boss because she's absolutely indifferent to anyone staying at this hotel. The young girl was being trained by an older woman who appeared frustrated with her customer engagement skills. When we arrived at the room, it had two double beds, and while my wife and are a slim and fit, a small bed is a recipe for a poor nights sleep. My wife booked the hotel through Hotwire, so when We asked for a king bed, or at least a queen, we were told we get what we got because we used a third party. Even being a Hilton honors had zero effect. I use Hotwire all the time and this is the first time this has happened. This hotel definitely does not deserve the Hilton brand. read more

I have stayed at several Double-Tree hotels over the years and this one doesn't meet the standards that I would come to expect from their brand or even a Hilton brand hotel. On the outside its appears modern but when you get inside the decor is mediocre. I was pleasantly greeted by the front desk staff and check in was painless. They offered me a cookie and my bottles of water for being a silver member. The carpet in this hotel is different from others as it feels a bit thicker and my luggage required a little extra oomph to get it to my room. Once inside my room I was a bit thrown back at a late 80's early 90's type decor with textured walls furniture that was larger than usual. I later found out that the cabinet holding the TV had a refrigerator, coffee machine, ice bucket, glasses and safe all inside the cabinet. There were also drawers to store you clothes. The desk itself was different as it had two levels and the bottom level was on wheels that could be pulled out to give you some surface area to work. The desk chair was a cheap one and not comfortable at all. The bathroom was a different story. It had a more modern Hilton and Doubletree took to it with a more modern look and color. The walk-in shower was very nice and the vanity good size. This is the type of decor I would have expected in the room itself. Lastly I tried to enjoy my evening have a meal in the bar area. The bartender was nice and was always doing something to keep the area clean. He also appeared to be training a waiter at the same time. I ordered the chicken sandwich which was good but I can't think for the life of me why you would grill a chicken breast then slit it in half. You let all the juices out that were contained by the girls marks so when I received it the chicken was dry as hell. I added lots of ketchup to give some moisture. The fries were good though along with the pickle. I had my usual Jack and coke which cost me almost as much as the sandwich itself. Not once during my time eating did he bar tender ask how good my food was but he seemed more into the three people to my right who were ordering more drinks and dessert. Overall I was underwhelmed by this hotel as Cape Cod has a reputation of having some higher end hotels but this certainly missed that mark especially with its decor and limited menu options that catered more to a seafood lover. read more

This place has the friendliest staff I have ever met of any establishment. We stayed for a week and at different times we met so many different staff members here. Each and every one of them was so nice and helpful. This made our stay really great. Each time we asked a question they genuinely cared and listened to our concern and helped the best way they could. Some pros: they no longer have coffee in the lobby bc of covid, but the front desk will get it for you from the back. The coffee is amazing! They have separate ventilation systems in each room. They have brochures and pamphlets for places to go etc which was helpful for us. For example we found the Island Queen ferry pamphlet for going to Martha's Vineyard and it was much cheaper than the Hy-Line ferry that we had found online. Though we like being green, some of the pamphlet info was helpful. Some cons: The walls are indeed paper thin! You will hear everything from the other room. Just know they hear everything from your room too :) Considering lower than normal capacity due to covid, I wish they could spaced out the guests so the noise wasn't an issue. A decent hotel with two pools, outdoor and indoor. If you have a Hilton rewards room... they'll put you on the right side as you enter and suffer the thin walls. It was so upsetting that we can hear every single word of the guests next room to us. We had to ask to be moved. We can hear the bathroom flushing next room, every single thing. The next room we had was better in sound proofing but the vault inside the room wasn't working and we had them fix it and they were quick to get it done. There was not much activity besides the pool area here. The gym was ok. I'm not going back. read more

This is by far one of the worst experiences we have had at a hotel. First off , it took 5 calls to get a pack and play delivered. After the almost 6th call they came while we were feeding our baby her last bottle. The worst part of the hotel are the rooms. You can hear everything. As I type this, it's because I can clearly hear every door slam, hair dryers, TV. I don't expect hotel rooms to be completely sound proof, but I swear it's so loud as if I am in the same room. The decent part of the hotel is the indoor pool. I would not recommend this hotel if you plan on sleeping. read more

Not your normal doubletree hotel !! Very spread out and very dated ! The room was adequate but getting to it was a real hassle !! Outside entrance up an elevator to the second floor then up a short flight of stairs and then a long hike to my room ! This after a long day of travel , then I get up and make my way to the lobby hoping for coffee and breakfast only to find out that I will have another long hike to the breakfast area which I never found !! At that point I checked out and found a restaurant to have breakfast at n town . The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful but fell short in making my stay pleasant ! I am a loyal Hilton diamond life time member but will definitely not stay at this location again ! I feel like I was generous in giving a one star rating ! read more

Had a dinner buffet with DJ there. Food quality was excellent HOWEVER I have never seen a buffet handled this way. Within 20 minutes from when we got our food they removed the serving utensils and started packing it up! Totally unacceptable. DJ was ok in that music was fine. I would not recommend them for a get together if this is always what they do. Seemed like the staff wanted to pack it up and get out of there. read more

Got in at midnight after a long drive. Front Desk was great. Comfy but outdated property. Breakfast staff was horrendous. As Hilton Honors Gold we had 2 complimentary breakfast vouchers and my guests also had complimentary vouchers which we had to explain to 2 different attendants who had to both go double check my room number before we could order. We requested for water which every table got besides ours and was told we could go get water from the buffet. So why was everyone who sat before and after us given water by you? He goes back to stand with his crew of clearly jobless breakfast staff to gossip about our table. Obvious due to their constant glance at our table and giggles. He brings the check half way through our breakfast and comes back twice while we're still eating to ask if we had signed the receipt. Needless to say who didn't get a tip. read more

Staying in this hotel was the worst experience of my life. The front people were very rude, especially James! I was told the breakfast it is included and then they didn't want to give me the tickets for that. On top of that I was there with 22 months twins and they only gave me one crib. One of my daughters woke up at 1am and she didn't sleep for another 2 hours because she is used to sleep in crib. I canceled the whole thing and I called the manager Chris for help but he never called me back. I WILL NEVER USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN! I don't recommend for anybody! read more

We're HiltonHonors members and like this chain. A recent stay confirmed some good things: an attractive, clean exterior and interior, pleasant front desk staff, a small but very clean room with two beds and a lovely new bathroom. On the other hand..... the beds were doubles not queens. There are no queen beds in the double rooms, which is the first time we've encountered that absence in the Hilton brand. As a result two of the three members in our party slept very poorly in cramped bedding. We also had a problem getting to our room because the hotel has only one elevator at the far end of a very long structure. One elevator. We and others did a lot of walking. There's no free breakfast buffet, only a overpriced and not especially good breakfast option. Fortunately there are a number of nice breakfast restaurants nearby (please check out our Sunnyside Grill review). And finally, there is inadequate handicapped parking at the hotel: three places, all apparently filled almost around the clock. We're like to have better things to say, but we will not be returning to this hotel. read more

This is an average hotel and certainly a bit below the Doubletree standard of quality. The lobby and dining areas were nicer than the room. Our room was clean but parts of it were dated. The staff is very nice and polite. Our room also felt cramped. For the $160 per night stay here I would bet there are better choices in the area. The Ivy Bar and Grill is where we ate breakfast both days. It is a nicely decorated place with what looks like a decent menu. The service was good and the staff was very pleasant. The breakfast was a bit pricey but this is a hotel after all and that is what you would expect. The food was just so so. More for convenience than anything. No breakfast buffet here. read more

Stayed here for a week in Jan 2016 and had a really pleasant experience. So great I didn't even bother looking at other hotels this time around. Just went straight to the doubletree. What a mistake. I ended up in a shoddy room that's missing an armchair and a table..HiltonHonors is a joke. That was not an upgrade. I was rudely waked before 8am by nearby guests BLASTING heavy-bass dance music. I tried to go back to sleep. I started to rationalize it..maybe they're just listening to it loud b/c they're in the shower..maybe they're hard of hearing..maybe there's a small child that loves to be surrounded by music.. By 9:15am I'd had it. Sleep deprived from exhausting xcountry travel and jet lag, I rang the front desk to lodge a complaint.. Was told the maintenance man would be sent to investigate the noise. By 10am nothing had changed. I phoned the front desk again to revisit the plan of attack, since clearly nothing had been done. The fact that they let my call to the front desk ring 37 times and never answered, thus leaving me having to call back two more times before someone picked up and hung up, then one last call reaching the desk clerk (alex?) was told there's "nothing we can really do" *brow raise* Adding insult to injury, I'm being lied to. Yes. There is something you can do. YOU CONTACT THE GUESTS BEING INCREDIBLY RUDE AND THOUGHTLESS AND YOU INFORM THEM THEIR BEHAVIOUR IS NEGATIVELY AFFECTING OTHER PAYING GUESTS. You ask them to turn down the music (officially) AND/OR OFFER TO MOVE THEM OR THE UPSET GUEST TO ANOTHER ROOM.. Look, lots of people need jobs. Including yours. Your customer care is lacking. For $120/night single occupancy in your dark and rundown location, with minimal occupancy in an off-season month, YOU CAN DO MORE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS. Your corporate office was terribly interested in my experience. Skip this dump and find another local Hilton-owned establishment; there are several others local to this sad excuse for a hotel. I was told my bill for the 1st of 4-5 nights I'd booked, was wiped..we'll see what happens when I call VISA. I'd initially expected to stay 4 nights (x120 = 480 + tax = $500+) and since my friend's baby hasn't popped out (that's why I'm here on Cape) I'd intended on extending the stay at least another night, bumping my bill to about $600..
