Very run down. Disappointed I came here. We were suppose to go to the inflatable water park today but due to weather, we canceled our cabana and came here instead. They need a complete make over. I was skeptical to come here based on the 2.5 star rating. My wife and I walked around for about 50 minutes looking for a place to set up. This was impossible! It's like a third world country in here. Many tables are loaded with dirty towels and trash. We don't know which are occupied or available. There's nobody keeping order or picking up trash. There has been 2 heated debates between other guests about who has the right to chairs. We saw little kids get trampled on by running big kids. The music was not family friendly whatsoever. The line for the snack bar over an hour for a pizza that they got from across the highway and sold to me for a $6 up charge. There were used band aids in the tide pool. People hoarding tables and chairs are the absolute worst! This is not worth half the price. It's unsanitary, overpriced, overcrowded, and understaffed. read more

I hate doing this but I think people who give honest reviews are doing everyone else a favour. I wanted to take my kids to a water park and found this online. Despite the majority being extremely negative reviews I looked at the photos and the one or so good reviews and thought-well it looks like fun for kids at least. We arrived and I tell them I have a 5 year old, two 9 year olds and my baby (2 year old). We came with water vests, towels etc. They ask me to have my kids stand to see which would require "big kid" tickets and of course the 9 year olds are the exact same height so they are big kids, while my 5 year old didn't make the cut and my 2 year old was free. The attendant then says, "That will be $150" SERIOUSLY-red flag should have gone up then but hey we are on holiday so I just pay for the "wave pool" 160ft waterslides etc. NOTE: NOT AS ADVERTISED Two old run down water slides, a pool with a current, a kiddy wading pool that has sand around it-BUT-do not dare let the sand fool you-you will be scolded if your toddler or child touches the decorative sand. Then the staff-seriously unhappy, miserable, unhelpful staff. Screaming at three of my kids (and others) to get in a tube (to enter the current pool) though my 5 year old was debating going in. The two oldest were screamed at by "lifeguards" somewhere climbing the stairs to the slides, and then the icing on the cake, as I was taking a photo of my girls up on the top of the slide platform my 2 year old, vested up, somehow ran from the kiddy pool and I panicked. I asked the lifeguard, believing they'd radio all other guards to help locate her, and she shrugged. As if that wasn't enough this was the GENERAL attitude of EVERY "lifeguard" I asked for help. In fact I ran to the upstairs to get a better view and another parent actually helped me as he had seen her and asked if she was looking for her mommy, he also advised his children (older) to keep an eye out. I found her and summoned all the kids, asked for a manager and demanded my money back, which is the one thing they did right. STAY AWAY FROM HERE, FAR AWAY. read more

The slides and lazy river were fun but the pool depth out of the slides was a little shallow. Some of the life guards were not very attentive. Overall it was okay, but if we didn't get the summer package I wouldn't have paid to go. read more

The water park is Outdated and in need of some upgrades. Hotel staff of very friendly and helpful. Lifeguards don't seem happy at all. Hearth and kettle also very outdated. Go to Mary Lou's down the street for coffee Jakes liquor store is directly across the street as is stop and shop... pack a lot of snacks/fruits/veggie tray and waters. Overnight my poor kid vomited and called the front desk... girl was very sweet but they had not spray cleaner access. I called the manager this am and explained this and suggested they have an overnight emergency kit... I wiped up alll the vomit w hotel towels which I felt really bad about but I had no other option. I bagged everything g and calledanager in AM. Security was helpful and nice at 0200 when I called for towels and Clorox. Not sure we will come Back next year ! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE (unless your child is under 4yrs old, or older than 14yrs.) My family and I were very excited to go to the indoor water park. The website and video commercials we saw seemed awesome, and we wanted to go when it got dark, so we opted for the night pass (after 5pm). First of all, the price is expected to be high but for what you are getting, it's quite a rip off. There's a non-swimmers charge of $20 which is just a nice way of saying "you still have to pay $20 to stand on the cement and watch from afar". Oh, and don't expect complimentary towels from this so called "resort". You have to pay $5 to rent one towel!!! And $7 to have a locker. Seriously, why get a locker to protect your belonging when this place robs you upon arrival. The "toddler area" is pretty small but if you have a little tike that's content splashing around for hours you'll be golden. Any kid over 3-4 would be bored and try to move on to what's next. So what's next? There's a lazy river and a wave pool. That's nice, but nothing extraordinary for the price. I cannot comment on the slides because my adventurous 4 year old was too short to ride (this is not a surprise, we expected that). What we did not expect was the "law" that no one under 14 allowed in the hot tub. My kid really, really wanted to go in the hot tub and that's what we got her extra excited for. I would have been ok with this rule if it was stated anywhere on the website or upon arrival or heck even when the life guard told me and my 4 year old how to get to the hot tub!!! (Psst, hey lifeguard, that would have been a good time to say no kids allowed). Also, what's the deal with the 14 year old rule anyways? The manager said it's because the temperature is sooo hot even adults pass out. Umm. That doesn't sound smart. So for a 13 year old it's not safe but on their 14th birthday they can go in the "too hot for safety zone". I asked the manager if even for a few minutes she could turn down the temperature and she said no. Fair enough. I only just dropped $80 for one lap around Pee River. Side note. There was poop in the toilets and pee and TP all over the floor in the ladies room. I'm not sure how often they clean it. After being there 15 minutes, my family decided it was best to just leave and ask for a refund. The desk gave us zero problems refunding us, which was nice. Frankly, I think the manager just didn't want to deal with me (or anyone for that matter). I like to think she was just having a bad day, and that she doesn't always have treat her customers like they are inconvenience. That said, if you're kids are super young, or the right height and age, you wasted your time reading my review. But otherwise, I suggest the drive to Great Wolf Lodge or even the short drive to Water Wizz instead. read more

Don't stay here unless you want your vacation ruined. Poor staff that treats day pass people Better than actual hotel guests. Update: NEVER COME HERE!!!!!!! What an awe full pool staff and front office staff!!!! They don't follow their own rules and we ended up leaving because they refused to comply. We left early. Never come here. Ps. It's fine for day pass kids to be in the lazy river off a float and life guards blow the whistle at them but never tell them to get out. It's ok for kids under 14 to boil in the hot tub. But my 48 in child can't go down their water slides according to today's manager. So if he's 48 in and it has been determined for a day and a half he is 48 in (also at his last doctor check up so it's in his medical record), how did he "shrink" I just wanted to add I noticed other reviews speaking to the unhappiness of the lifeguards. We used manners. Thank you, please. They all were either looking like they were severely depressed or too busy flirting. That got me big time. We spent a weekend here in January and my son couldn't wait to come back. That's just what we did on June 26. I reserved passes online and we drove down. When we arrived we were told the kids area was under construction. This left only the lazy river. No reduction in price and no ability to use the regular pool. But after a two hour drive we stayed. The Day continued to be one disaster after another. The jets were on full force in the lazy river so we were getting blasted in the face. Never went to slow. The lifeguards were too busy coloring and flirting to pay any attention. The jets ended up burning out by mid afternoon so there was no moving water and all slides went down. While other patrons received refunds we did not even receive an apology. I asked for the manager the young man refused and told me to email. I did right then and there and 8 days later I have never heard back from management. I left a wonderful review on google in January. Ignore that please do. They showed there true colors this visit and it was a waste of money. On top of that the lack of any sort of reply from anyone at the hotel or water park is absolutely unacceptable. read more

My husband and I stayed at this resort two years ago. The last time we were there everything was functioning, everything was clean, and the food was really good. This time we decided to take our children with us and we knew the experience would be different. The place is still nice and I do recommend that you go however, the wave pool is broken and has been broken two months before our stay. We were frustrated that we were not told that before arriving. The room we stayed in was close to the water park and had a very heavy chlorine smell that made my baby and myself cough the entire time we were there. The food was good however, very expensive and the service was somewhat slow even when the place was not very busy. Overall, turns out the place has been sold and the new owners will be renovating the place. If you plan to go I would recommend waiting until the place has been restored to the 5/5 that I'm sure it has the potential to be. read more

The entertaining area is too small and it doesn't need to cost that much to play in such a small little water park. The slides were pretty old, and it might scratch your back. The stuff should take this problem seriously. The little kids were having fun but the not the old one. The best price for the ticket should be twenty. The food at the water park used to be decent, but the "flatbread" pizza isn't what it used to be. It used to be cheesy and yummy and oval shaped, but this time for $7 we got a tiny round inedible extremely chewy pizza. My 9 yr old daughter loved it. I had a great time as well with her. It's very clean. I liked that they have lockers to rent($7). The decorations are nice, as well as the outside seating area. It was a good way to spend a rainy day on the cape. I can't give it a perfect score though for two reasons. First, the food place there is overpriced for the quality. My BLT wrap was just ok, and the flatbread cheese pizza I ordered for my daughter I ended up returning for something else because it tasted pretty bad. 2nd, although this didn't affect us I think they should offer slides for kids under 48 inches. read more

My family of 4 went today to the water park for the first time. We have 2 boys, ages 7 and 10. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was. I am still traumatized from our experience at Water Wiz in Wareham from last year. (That place is a dump.) It wasn't too crowded, but of course it is March. Staff was helpful and friendly. The food was decent. $4 for one taco was actually worth it because it was really stuffed! Overall it was a good experience and we all had fun, but I have to give 3 stars because we couldn't go near the wave pool. After a few minutes of being in there, our kids were coughing, my eyes were burning and our chests were tight. They clearly don't manage their pool chemicals properly. We tried to go back there again later in the day and the same thing happened. It was unbearable. I don't know how anyone could stand to stay in there. Hopefully they fix it because otherwise it's a decent place for the price. read more

For a place that advertises as kid friendly, it is the most unfriendly kid place I have ever experienced. 1) Too many rules. 2) Too many lifeguards all too happy to enforce the extensive rules. 3) Aforementioned lifeguards looked extremely unhappy and mad all the time. Why is this a problem? Because there are life guards EVERYWHERE. So everywhere you go you are being watched and scrutinized by an unfriendly, mean-looking person. This is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. 4) My son - who HATES school - said he would rather be back in school than be here. 5) We ended up leaving a day early, even though we already paid for the hotel and passes. Giving 2 stars because the staff was friendly although didn't have much interaction. Save your money and go to GWL. Shame on me for not researching before making reservations but wanted to get away for a weekend after the year we've all been through. Hotel wreaked of mold as soon as we walked in to our room floor entrance. Could tell the place hadn't been updated in..welp maybe since it 1st opened. All they have is a "river" and 2 waterslides that'll scrape your back because they don't seemed to be assembled properly. Their wave pool is the most disgusting public pool water I have ever seen. Apparently there are 2 slides on that side however couldn't tell, they weren't open the 2 days we were there. I'm confused at why they advertise as an indoor/outdoor water park. Their ceiling opens & closes. There isn't anything outside besides a pool. Sorry but I wouldn't recommend this place. Thankfully there is a mall, bowling alley and a lot of delicious restaurant's around that we went to. Oh & their outdoor pool that is open all year round. It was right outside our room. Was only open for a few hours on Valentine's day. I wouldn't have went in it anyways, the place just skeeved us out. I'm taken back that they charge almost $1200 for a 2 bedroom space? I'm pretty positive management won't respond to this review since they don't respond to any reviews that are 2 stars are less. The lifeguards in this place are poorly trained and so is the lifeguard manager Tony. This place needs some serious work. Whoever is leaving 5 stars has very low expectations for a hotel that charges $300 a night. We went with one other family for a quick winter getaway. We had a 5 yr old, 2 7 yr olds, and a 9 yr old. We checked in Friday at 6 went straight to the waterpark and all was well. The kids had a great time on the waterside, they loved the wave pool, and the lazy river. We got into the park on Saturday at 9 and again all was well. At 4:00 my son came down from the waterside tower crying because the lifeguard told him he was not tall enough to go down the slides. Now we had been in this place for 2 days and my son had gone down these slides all day so we were confused. We went to the lifeguard and he measured him and we were told he was too short. The requirement is 48" now he had been measured by everyother lifeguard on duty Saturday and was told he meets the requirement or that he was close enough. We explain this to the lifeguard. He tells us that we need to see the lifeguard manager Tony. We speak with Tony he measures my son and then tells us he doesn't meet the requirement. We express our confusion and frustration since he's been told he's tall enough for the last 2 days. He then tells me that due to the negligence of the lifeguards allowing my son to use the slide at anytime he could have SNAPPED HIS NECK AND DIED while using the slide. He literally said your son can go into the slide alive and come out dead at the other end! Great visualization for a mom Tony! Then he proceeds to tell us that he will give my 7 yr old a free ice cream for the problem. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars instead of 1 was because of the General Manager John who salvaged our mini vacation and understood our frustration with the situation and the explanation given. Thankfully my son was able to continue using the slides and enjoy the rest of his trip but the inconsistency between lifeguards, measuring stations and the lack of customer service Tony the lifeguard manager has was so ridiculous that we will never return to the cape codder. read more
