The entertaining area is too small and it doesn't need to cost that much to play in such a small little water park. The slides were pretty old, and it might scratch your back. The stuff should take this problem seriously. The little kids were having fun but the not the old one. The best price for the ticket should be twenty. The food was fine, but the pretzel was too salted. The price was kind of worth. Not for the park.

'Flatbread' pizza - extremely chewy and inedible.

It also took me about three hours to get there, so expectations were definitely higher going in. The first thing that stood out was how unorganized the entry process was. The line to get into the park was insanely long and honestly one of the most chaotic lines I've ever seen. That said, we still managed to get in at a reasonable time. Once inside, it was a mixed experience. The lazy river was extremely crowded, especially at the entrance, which made it hard to relax. On the plus side, the wave pool was actually really nice. The waves felt more realistic than most water parks, which I appreciated. Food prices were about what you'd expect, maybe a little on the higher side, but nothing outrageous for a water park. As for the slides, they felt a bit rough and slightly sketchy at times. I get that part of it is the thrill, but some rides, especially Devil's Peak, were pretty uncomfortable. I ended up with a few rub burns and scratches, which wasn't ideal. Overall, I did have fun because at the end of the day it is still a water park. But the park could really benefit from better organization and layout. It felt a bit all over the place, and with some improvements it could be a much better experience

He was a tall male employee, and from what I observed, he was constantly singling out certain swimmers, including me and my daughter. He was rude, confrontational, and seemed genuinely irritated by kids simply having fun which is the whole point of a water park. His attitude was completely out of line for a place meant to be family-friendly. I watched him repeatedly escalate situations that didn't call for it, and his behavior made the environment feel tense instead of enjoyable. Someone with that kind of energy has no business working around children or guests. I hope management seriously reevaluates who they hire to represent their park.

This is not your typical playground. There are multiple sections of the park, which make it great for exploring. You turn a corner and cross a bridge and you're in a new space with new features! In the lower section, there is a water garden with misting fountains turned on during the warmer months. There are plenty of benches for taking a rest or snack time among the well-maintained greenery. I'd say for kiddos under 2, maybe even 3, playing on the pirate ship and near the slides definitely needs close adult supervision. The plank up the hill to the ship is quite steep, as are the two slides on the other side of the park. Definitely worth the trek into Seaport with your little ones!

There's also an ice cream shop made top resemble a Hood milk bottle :-) Tip: The far end of this park is the "entrance" to a shopping strip that runs along Sea Port Blvd

Ryan Park (aka the Father Francis A. Ryan Memorial Playground) is a public park and playground area…read morein the Mattapan section of Boston, Massachusetts. Amenities at the park include a playground with multiple playscapes, a splash pad with a wading pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, public restrooms with changing areas, walking paths, and convenient access to the nearby Neponset River Greenway. My family and I visited Ryan Park this past summer while we were cycling along the Neponset River Greenway. I had previously visited the park back in 2023 while I was cycling the trail with my older son. He had a lot of fun playing on the playscapes. Unfortunately, I didn't bring his bathing suit along on that trip and he felt bad that he couldn't play on the splash pad. On my more recent trip to Ryan Park, we were joined by my wife and younger son and this time we made sure to bring bathing suits. We were pleasantly surprised to see that the splash pad had been completely redone since my last trip. The newer splash pad had features that were more consistent with a wading pool. Both of my sons had a blast splashing around. Once swim time was over, we all enjoyed our prepared picnic lunch on a nearby picnic table. Afterwards, both boys had fun running around on the playscapes. Overall, my whole family thinks that Ryan Park is a great place for young children and it's easily accessible by motor vehicle, bicycle, or public transportation.

Why did I only find this on the LAST day of summer??!?…read more Seriously though. This spray park is AMAZING. It is really just a water slide short of being an actual tot water park. You would pay a $60 entry fee for access to a little water play area like this at a big water park. It's got a really good sized wading pool with lifeguards on duty. There are tons of spray features - an alligator, a turtle and a snake. There's also this awesome bucket contraption that fills up six buckets with water and then dumps them out over and over. It's totally fun! There are plenty of benches, with nice sun canopy shades overhead. There's even a bathroom / shower facility adjacent to the water features! That's just the water park. Ryan playground is seriously stacked. There's a huge area with two giant play structures. It's got a wood chip base (not updated with the rubberized surface that many newer playgrounds have) and some benches. There are also tennis and basketball courts! And it looks like they are currently finishing construction of a walkway to provide access to the Neponset River walkway. I'm excited for that! Last but not least - this is Boston after all - there is a parking lot! YES - parking. It is small, but dammit, it's there and it's free!!! We will be back SO many times. I wish it didn't take me this long to realize this place was 5 minutes from my house. Hidden Bostonplayground gem!
