They have baskets to attach to the front of the bike. I'd recommend one to carry your stuff. If you get the chance, grab a bike and go for a nice bike ride as the sun is setting on the bay. Since I was staying with my parents (and can't drive a car), I thought a bike to get around would be perfect. The man who helped me was an absolute saint and brought out the perfect bike- down to the color- without me even having to ask! I was amazed! How he pinpointed that exact color as my favorite, I'll never know, but the courtesy, service and kindness I was shown here made a memory I'll carry with me forever :) And when I come back to Wildwood next year, I'll head straight here to rent for a full five days instead of the three! They are 1 hour and thirty minute rentals. No "NO REFUNDS" signs anywhere. We went back and politely asked for a partial refund, not even our full $40 back and they wouldn't bend at all. The two older guys there are so rude and unprofessional. Basically yelled at us and told us "thanks for riding our bikes" when we were telling them about the experience we had. The older manager is even rude to the 2 kids working there, we should have seen that reg flag to begin with. They're cash only and they probably do that so you can't take it up with your credit card company after having a terrible experience with them. Save your money and go to one of the other bike rentals in the area. These guys are scammers and fraud!

I promised my friend's nephew, little Mike, a delightful breakfast at Larkin's. As were just about to start walking the boardwalk, he asked me if it was ok to take a ride on a surrey. And because, I am that crazy fun Sari, I simply couldn't say no, specially after I bribed him with the mirror maze. Also, if he really wanted the ride, he would have to do the pedaling. So, we had a deal! The line in front of the Fcj Bike Rental was reasonably long, it was Memorial day Weekend, but the service was fast and efficient. We got a 2-pedalers, single bench surrey, $25.00 per one hour ( be prepared, they will hold onto your license till you return the bike.) I wanted the red bike not the green, and so we got on the red, golf cart-like surrey. I would say, based of the way "little Mike" was riding, like a maniac, that it wasn't too hard to control the surrey. Also, the one hour rent, was enough for two miles of fun, a full boardwalk loop. The tricycle I had was initially too unwieldy and heavy. Being a total beginner, I couldn't maneuver it. Thankfully I was there early enough to switch to a low rider. It did the job but was rickety and squeaked a LOT. I wish it had a basket to put my backpack and hoodie but I managed. I saw other low riders on the boardwalk that looked nicer. I will try another place next time.
