I've been coming to Cape May for over 10 years, and a stop at Cape May Cigars & Wine has become a tradition for my wife and me. From the very first trip, Kim has always made us feel welcome and has consistently provided outstanding service. The cigar selection is absolutely incredible. Whether you're looking for a trusted favorite or something new to try, there's always a great variety to choose from. The humidor is well-stocked, and it's clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the quality of the inventory. My other half and I stopped in this shop while on a getaway on the Cape, as the store offered something for each of us: fine wines and fine cigars. The gentleman working the shop was pleasant, helpful, kind, and struck up conversation with us, offering wine samples and cigar talk. My other half purchased a bottle of wine that she liked a lot. I visited the walk-in humidor, as the store advertised Pre-Embargo's, which I was pleased to find they had. The humidor was small, but had a solid assortment. Prices were high and, admittedly, I made my purchase anyway because there are no other fine cigar shops on the cape. I'd rather buy from here than a non-humidors liquor store. My cigars have smoked flawlessly, which is great. However, I'd recommend that newbies take caution and know prices and rarities. This place is a total rip off. They Jack the price up over 100% on their cigars, and most likely the wine. They wanted to charge me per cigar, when I was going to get a case of 10. Normally you get a discount when buying a case. Anyways, after he quoted me a price of $200, I was in shock. Told him to cancel the order, and told him that I pay around $80 for the same exact item at home. His only defense was to say that they buy them at the same place and that they need to make money too. I said "Good Bye !" This place is unbelievably over priced. Very nice woman helped us. Gave us tastings even tho I believe they were about to close. She also was knowledgeable about the cbd products there. She also showed customers in front of us something cool with a lighter and how to fill it or something:) lots of cigar choices as well but we don't do cigars. Also, the wines that you taste are from mays landing. So they are local. And no sulfites or nitrates! read more

For a cigar shop at the tip of New Jersey they have a fairly decent selection during the season which dwindles down as winter approaches. Montes, Rocky's, Hoyo's, Flor, are all well represented. My fiance and I walked in there it kinda of wasn't very welcoming . We wanted to see what type of flavors did they have the woman in there looked very nervous and was asking us repeatedly if did we need anything. We tryed to flavors it was alright . If I could give zero stars I would. First off the women employed there was not wearing a mask. Second after waiting 10 minutes for her to finish a personal conversation about how a previous customer called the cops on her because she refused to wear a mask, she finally turns to me and asked what I'd like help with. As I responded to her two more people walk in with no masks on. She turns towards them and proceeds to have another conversation as if I wasn't even standing there. The second woman who walked into the store with no mask on then starts hacking a lung out and doesn't even bother to cover her mouth. I waked out. I don't care what your feelings are towards wearing a mask or your political stand on things. There are servers in 90 degree heat wearing masks and gloves to just work. Yet this woman is in an air conditioned store and can't even be bothered because it's too much of a hassle. read more

Visited CM C&W over the July 4th weekend and was thoroughly pleased. Jason helped me find a couple good cigars for my father and me. He was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and didn't try to upsell me. The store was easy to find and has a great location in the outdoor pedestrian mall. The prices were reasonable and comparable to what I'm accustomed to spending. I look forward to getting back down to Cape May and will definitely visit this store, again. read more

This is a small and nice store tucked away in the Washington Street mall. I will get pricing out of the way first: the cigars here are about double the prices on the mainland. A Perdomo I typically get for 6.99 (cheap) to 8.99 (average) set me back $16.50. The cigars are Very Well Conditioned and it smoked perfectly. I thought the selection was very good and there certainly were deals to be found. The store is very nice and the woman working was eager to help if I had any questions. I didn't try any wine, but overall I was happy with the experience. The worst thing about buying a cigar in a tourist town is spending the money for a dry or half conditioned cigar that burns funky. So the other options are really just liquor stores or vape shops on the way in, or bringing your own. I did stop at 2 liquor stores that had few choices and the pricing was comparable ($1-2 less) and the cigars weren't in great condition in comparison. I didn't bring a cutter and ended up buying one here for $5 that will last a while. Overall I give this a 3 because of pricing, 5 for selection and quality. read more

My 16 year old son and I stopped into Cape May cigars and Wine, 421 Washington St. Washington Street Mall in July 2021 to purchase a cigar for my brother in law (I do not smoke). The cost of the cigar was 24.50 but I honestly did not look at my receipt after leaving the store nor did I keep it. I noticed on my credit card bill that this store charged me 324.50. After notifying my credit card company of the error and asking for them to dispute this, I also reached out to the store. After several calls to 2 employee's and numerous voice mails, the owner will still not return my call. They have admitted to me that their billing system/practices does not show itemized transactions and that their is no camera in the store to prove anything. A male employee even admitted to me that he accidentally hit an extra number and overcharged a customer. THIS STORE and THIS OWNER will not admit to their error despite me telling them that my son was an eye witness to my purchase of 1 cigar. SHANE ON THIS OWNER. BEWARE CUSTOMERS....BEWARE! read more

I recently visited Cape May Cigars and in true Cape May fashion the people who worker there were more then happy to help pick a cigar that is exactly what you are looking for. Jc is the guy who helped me and he was extremely knowledgeable on all things cigars, he was able to help me pick out a few cigars that I had never tried before and let me tell you they were great ( cigars purchased: Kristoff Brittania and 5 Vegas Gold). Cape May Cigars has a great selection of mild, mild- medium, and full body cigars to choose from and is a great place to go to learn a few things about cigars in general. I would recommend this shop to everyone and already have. If you are in Cape May and you want a cigar then the Cape May Cigar shop is a MUST! I will definitely be going back. read more

Went here to buy Balic wine during Thanksgiving. When we arrived at the store the clerk was more concerned about playing on his laptop than helping us. He knew absolutely nothing about the wine and then sold us a spoiled bottle of Blackberry wine. The cork was swollen and the wine was fizzy. Will never shop here again. read more
