Did not visit the campground, but as a character review of management, would advise not to pay a…read morepenny more than the deposit and be wary of them as slimy people. Made a reservation in February, paid full value of stay in June. After seeing bad weather day of reservation decided to cancel stay. Understanding policy is there would not be refunds at this point, but asked if the amount paid over the deposit could be returned or used as a deposit for a future visit, as was more than needed to be provided at booking. Expectation being just the deposit would not be refunded. Management called back, citing they do not do refunds and that the delay in paying for the reservation was a rationale for not returning the amount over the deposit value. Didn't seem correlated, they became combative and argumentative in an unprofessional manner escalating a situation that was a simple inquiry as to whether anything accommodating could be done. Just a simple warning don't pay more than the deposit as management will take your money and be angry if you ask for any of it back.

So, probably since the 1970s. That is about 40 years! We have always felt happy about our time here, and it was a convenient place to stay close to the beach. We went from tent camping, to pop-up trailer, to a 32 foot trailer, which was an exciting leap for our family. The reason why I write this now is I still get mad as I drive past their location. The way it works is that if you own a seasonal trailer you make a deposit in winter. My parents did that. In 2020, of course no one knew what was going on. My parents as usual had asked if they could delay payment when they were collecting early that year until we could find out what the beach was doing. They were told no. So, we made the deposit. In June -July most of the beaches were basically closed down or minimal options to go on the beach or anything. We asked them if we could wait to still see what the beaches were going to do when we needed to make the full season payment. They basically told us "PAY UP OR GET OUT!" For years of loyalty, this is quite sickening. They gave my parents a week to get their trailer off the property and so we ended up having to sell it for a cheap amount because we didn't have anything to trailer it, and they wouldn't let us leave it on their property. They were unwilling and in my opinion extremely selfish to refund any or even part of our deposit. And what makes matters worse, if they weren't even willing to do that, they didn't even kindly offer as an alternative to comp a certain amount of stays there till it made up for the deposit. All, I can say is that I feel after this that they treat their customers like dirt because of their GREED. All cabins allow pets so if you need to bring your dog, like us, this is the place to go. We stayed in the deluxe cabin which had its own bathroom.B5 is located right by the pool and playground. My girls chose to do the animal experience at the on site farm. Hands down, best part of our stay. Location is the best if you want to be close to the beach and zoo. The only concern I had was the requirement to buy their firewood.
