The neighboring group blasted bass-heavy music from Friday night through Sunday morning, sometimes beginning around 8 a.m. Their music and conversations included extremely offensive, profane and racist language, even though children were present. Their site grew to approximately four cars and five tents, and their two unleashed dogs repeatedly entered our campsite and bothered our leashed dog. We complained multiple times to the office, security booth and staff, but kept getting passed around. The music would briefly go down and then start again. The same group even brought a huge speaker to the lake, making it impossible to escape the noise. On Sunday morning, Alvin from security finally got them to lower the music and put their dogs away, but they were already preparing to leave. They continued cursing and angrily discussing who had reported them. They were clearly very angry, and the situation became so concerning that I carried mace and nearly called the police. We could not relax, talk, cook or enjoy the campground. I have camped and traveled extensively and have never experienced anything this disruptive or so poorly handled. We will never return.

Upon reaching out to Seashore they dismissed me and told me in so many words "Oh well." They told me a bed bug investigation was done on 10/15 and no bed bugs were seen. After some of our own research and a call to the health department. It was discovered that on 10/15 a bed bug investigation was done by a Western sales representative, not a technician. The sales representative, unqualified, found no bed bugs on 10/15. On 10/29 an email was sent to the CMC Health Department by us; to try and get to the bottom of the situation. On 10/30, a visit from a qualified Western technician and the health department, bed bugs were found. As more information was uncovered it was found that the Western visit on 10/15 was prompted after a woman left and reported bed bug bites as well. Seashore Campground has done nothing to even try and attempt to rectify this situation. They have tried to cover this situation up with lies and avoidance. No one will return our phone calls or emails. We are now concerned the bugs have been brought into our personal home and will be facing a hefty extermination bill if this is the case. This is both negligence on Seashore and Western. Be careful before you book your stay. They aren't taking preventative measures against bed bugs. Only "dealing" with problems as they arise -- and half ass*d at that. The managers are rude and dismissive. They told me they handled this situation with the "Golden Rule" in mind -- treating others as you would like to be treated. I am not sure if constant scratching and bug bites on your face, arms and legs is in the top ten choices of how a person would like to be treated -- but if they had proper hospitality training they would have learned this in their first lesson. Shame on your Sun Outdoors, and honestly Western too. Do better. Cape May County is a small town -- what goes around comes around.

Beachcomber is an awesome place. The staff and my neighbors and other seasonals are like family. There are rules and regulations everywhere and need to be. That being said, once again they came thru for me. I am 73, and I took a pretty good fall. I called the front desk, told them what happen and I had security guards, you know who you are, with a medical background here in minutes. Checking on me, asking to call an ambulance and they didn't leave until they were sure I was OK. My neighbors checked in and one even made me dinner the next day. Thank you All! Say what you may Beachcomber rocks! Even with the bad storms they were right on it. It is a safe place, a nice family owned campground. Ive see some people checking in being not so nice to the reservation clerks, life guards, activity directors and so on. Try being nice sometime and you will be treated with respect in return . It's very busy and everyone is doing the best they can. Once again Thank you Beachcomber

Horrible experience and we would not return…read more We booked two days in the middle of May for a little getaway. On the website it said that each tent had a king bed. There was absolutely no king bed. The bed frames are extremely loud and if you move your leg an inch, you're waking up the entire tent. The half bathroom is nice but there is no door, only a half size curtain. So everyone can smell and hear your business. The tents are directly next to a really busy road. Even at 2AM there were guys with shortpiped civics and trucks using their engine brakes for funsies. There's also a really loud purge tornado siren that goes off every once in a while, and there's also an airport right next door so you can enjoy the sweet sounds of an airplane directly into your ear drums at 3AM. Mind you, the tent has no walls. So it's a full 3D experience. So don't plan on actually sleeping, we didn't. Everything else was meh, but none of this was ever mentioned on their website or literally anywhere else, so we had no clue. I wouldn't recommend it, like at all. It's probably quieter in a Wawa parking lot if you want to try your luck.

This year, 2026, we were scheduled to arrive on June 19 and depart on June 28. On June 6, my husband had a serious accident that required surgery ASAP, with a projected recovery period of approximately 6 months. Unfortunately, we needed to cancel the trip. Their cancelation policy says that you can receive a full refund of any previously paid money if you cancel within 15 days of your arrival date. I called them on June 6 ( the day of the accident) and explained why we needed to cancel. The person I spoke to said that June 6 was 14 days prior, so I would be forfeiting my deposit. She said we could put it towards a rescheduled trip, but as I had explained, his projected recovery time is at least 6 months, so I really wouldn't know where to even start with that. We didn't just decide not to go. We always book there and always stay between 8 and 10 days. We canceled due to a medical emergency within one day of the policy. I totally understand that rules are in place for a reason, but I also believe that they could make some exceptions on a case by case basis and according to past interactions with the guest. We are not people who take advantage of things like this and we're really looking forward to another vacation there. Jury is still out if we will go back, or find some place else to call home while vacationing in Wildwood/ Cape May.
