An infection in my nose and forehead was overlooked, and skin was grafted over what turned out to be an undiagnosed infection. I spent over a year in and out of hospitals, not understanding what was wrong, until another doctor finally diagnosed me with osteomyelitis--an infection that had reached my skull. Rather than acknowledge what happened, Dr. Chang retained experts who made deeply upsetting and humiliating claims about me during trial. It felt like I was put on trial for what had been done to me.
