Pedro butchered my hair, then blamed ME for having "bad hair". I now have a mullet two weeks before my wedding. I went in for a slight trim. There is a big chunk of long hair in the back and he tried to continue cutting the top. He said I had "bad hair" and to do any shaping he had to cut more from the top. He cut about 4-5" on the top and around my face while leaving a chunk in the back long. He said it was a different texture but made no attempts to shape it to match. read more

Website has no prices listed and I didn't think to ask because I could not have ever imagined they would have the audacity to charge $100 to take 30 minutes to cut a child's hair but they did. I've struggled with my hair forever - I have natural curls, but never what I considered to be a nice curl, so I've blown it straight for many years. A friend finally convinced me to see what the curly girl pros could do to give me an alternative to the labor-intensive blow-outs that take me 40 minutes do execute. I made an appointment for a consult with Lois, who declared she couldn't really get a sense of my curls without having a wash and "set" first. Fair enough! A lovely assistant washed my hair and then took painstaking effort to instruct me on how to section my hair and then layer various and multiple products onto my hair. This was already more work than my 40 min blowout! When she was done applying the products she put me under the old- fashioned dryer, where I sat for twenty minutes. I was surprised that she did not show me how to use a diffuser, which would presumably be what I would need to use at home. Lois then analyzed my curls and declared that she would need to cut some shape into it and offered to do it right then, which was very nice, but it took me by surprise because I wasn't expecting to cut my hair that day and wanted to take time at home to play with my curls and see if I liked the concept. When I hesitated, she seemed offended and copped a diva attitude, literally walking away from me. It was definitely an awkward moment, but I decided to go for it. What a mistake that turned out to be! $174 later (without the additional $100+ for products), I could not believe that ANY professional would send me out the door looking as bad as I did. I immediately went home, washed and blow dried my hair and was a upset to find holes and uneven sections of hair. I showed the cut to someone at the salon where I often get my hair cut and blow dried and they were appalled. I thought perhaps a non-curly pro might not appreciate the cut, but I was assured that any professional would be hard-pressed to defend my cut. So I am left with an expensive experiment gone wrong with the consequence that I have to endure a horrible haircut while it grows out a bit. Very disappointed, to say the least. read more

I got an absolutely fabulous haircut here. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 though is that my stylist was bouncing between multiple clients which did not make me feel like he was very focused on me. They also stuck me under a dryer (instead of using a diffuser) which made my hair flat and wavy not curly and took FOREVER-like an hour and a half. I know they did this so they could move on to the next client. I will be back but next time I'd rather dry my hair myself or leave with it wet. read more

In 5 minutes my hair was insulted three times, the curl patterns are very different, you don't have a lot of hair, etc. and told that they are always there and I could book an appointment. Went here for a Devacut- loved it!!! Pedro is amazing, he brought my dead curls back to life! The salon is clean and everyone who works there is very sweet, always offering refreshments. His technique is wonderful, spends his time on your hair making sure each curl is taken care of. He then explained what he was doing, and showed me exactly how to style my hair. I never realized I was doing it wrong all these years! He is pricey but so totally worth it, I've never felt this good about my hair!
