CCC was recommended to me and I can see why. I bought a new car in December 2020 and take very good care of it. For that reason, when I was unable to avoid hitting an overhanging branch on Wade Avenue and a foot-long scuff was left on the back passenger door, I had to do something. I went to Capital City Collision based on a recommendation from a friend who had been there twice. He told me it was the best bodyshop experience he had ever had. I had hood paint damage from rocks flying off a small work/landscaping trailer on I540. I also had damage to a rear bumper that had occurred more than a year earlier. Because the bumper had not been addressed in a while, I was concerned about new paint matching the rest of the car. As it turned out, Capital City did a perfect job. They offered to come to me for an estimate, but I chose to go there. An estimate was provided in maybe 10 minutes. I agreed with the fair price and they had me scheduled for a repair in a few days. If you have to take your car to a body shop, something bad has usually happened to it. No one wants to ever go to a body shop. Unfortunately, for me, I have had to use these guys several times. The positive part is they do a meticulous, fantastic job at a reasonable price and they are quick and efficient. They work with the insurance company and make sure the repair is done 100% right. I received a car wash from AutoBell down the street from Capital City Collision. During the car wash, the plastic antenna base broke off my car and AutoBell send a repair request to Capital City Collision. I was contacted by Wade to get the process started and I offered to swing by so he could look at the damage and see what part(s) needed to be ordered. Everything was great. I scheduled when I would come back and was told it would be about 40 minutes to repair. So I planned on waiting. I come back, a week later, around 10 am. I was told it would be ready in the afternoon for me to pick up - although they already knew (or at least I thought since I specifically told them) that I was waiting for it to be fixed. I brushed it off and got an uber with my husband to go grab brunch and run some errands. We were waiting for the call to come pick it up. However, when we received a call from Wade... it was to inform us that he didn't order the correct parts (even though I came by a week in advance) and that it was his fault for not checking the box. I was furious - I drove an hour BOTH WAYS to come to this shop and found out the wrong parts were ordered and it was on their neglectful acts. Once my husband and I arrive back at the shop, Matt asked to speak with me outside, where he then decided to argue with me about the part and tried to make it seem like I had no reason to be so upset. Mind you, I was in school and preparing to take a HUGE board exam the next day, and I never asked for my car to be damaged in the first place. Matt was extremely rude and said "they bend over backwards for their customers" and that he "doesn't have x-ray vision to see through the car and know the part was missing" and many other sarcastic rude remarks that my husband was present for and witnessing. I had to step away and let my husband finish talking to Matt because I was literally about to explode with anger. The next day my husband took my car back to get fixed and come to find out, MATT LIED ABOUT THE PART THAT WAS MISSING. It was the black plastic piece on the OUTSIDE of the jeep that you DONT need x-ray vision to see. I was livid. He tried to make me feel like a jerk for being upset when I went out of my way for them to make sure the right parts were ordered....just to find out after he berated me that he was lying the entire time. I will NEVER go back to this establishment and am EXTREMELY disgusted at how Matt treated me....he had to talk to me OUTSIDE so no one else could hear the things he was saying to me. I do not recommend this place although they have wonderful reviews. If you do go here, just be weary. My car is fixed so that's why I rated it 2 stars. Otherwise it would be -5. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Capital City Collision. When I arrived (unannounced), Matt immediately performed an estimate, which he explained thoroughly and answered all of my questions about it. He also presented several different options to treat the issue, which I really appreciated. I brought my vehicle in on Thursday (fender bender), and Matt had the car fixed by 4:00pm Friday, which was both extremely impressive and also very helpful as I have young children and the car was our minivan so we use it every day. When I brought the van in, Matt had someone give me a ride home so that my wife didn't have to drag all our kids in my small sedan to pick me up. Matt was very communicative during the entire process from start to finish. When the car was returned (he had an employee drive it back to our house), it looked perfect, and he also cleaned the exterior of the car. There were no surprises throughout the entire process. After reading all of the reviews for Capital City Collision, I was very optimistic about potentially working with them. However, the first phone call completely changed that. I submitted a very detailed description of what I would like done via their website, and uploaded as many pictures as I could (7 pictures - the max that their website allows). I then get a phone call from Matt at Capital City Collision. The very first thing he tells me is that I "wrote a lot" in the description. Not in a "haha" kind of way, but in a "I don't have time for this" kind of way. Well, yeah, I'm trying to make your job easier and be very specific. He then proceeds to tell me that he "doesn't even know what trim level the car is", when I actually sent him a picture of the vehicle's door tag that includes the VIN number and paint codes, which would give him not only the vehicles trim level, but also anything else he needs to know about the car. Sorry, but if you don't have the attention to detail to realize that I sent you my VIN number to get the trim level, then I'm guessing you don't have attention to detail in your body work. My guess is that Matt didn't event bother to look at all the pictures. I was also told that the pictures weren't labeled (they were - I named each picture things like 'driver-rear-quarter.jpg' etc etc) and that some were too close (fair enough - I'll send more. Your website only allowed 7 uploads. I'll gladly send you 700 if you need them) All the while I am trying to explain to him that I will gladly send him more pictures and answer all questions he might have. I explained to him that my car is not road worthy at the moment (drag car - not street legal) and that, instead of towing it to him just for an estimate, that I would prefer to send as many detailed pictures as he needs just to give me a ROUGH ESTIMATE. The entire time, Matt is interrupting me, talking over me, and not directly acknowledging anything I am saying to him on the phone. He ends the conversation by telling me that he will text me his personal email address so that I can send him more pictures. I never got the text. Rude, condescending, rushed, and not at all friendly. Maybe he does good body work but I won't give him my business because he surely doesn't seem to want it. read more

While this may be the best place to get your car done the customer service is as important as well. People involved in accidents have to still work and get estimates for their cars. I called them today about getting my car repaired and the guy was rude and wanted to call me back when I in fact was calling him in my spare time as I was working. This may be a great place to get your car repaired, however I will never know because the customer service was definitely a deal breaker. So make sure when calling that it is convenient with them that you called to ask them questions about their business. read more

Having smashed in the front corner of my Maserati (including the headlight and a bunch of sensors), I went to my insurance company (state farm) to check out my options. They were not able to come up with a preliminary estimate, because Maserati's are not in their pricing system. I looked online for any body shops who repair Maserati, and it turns out that there was only one. (this one). I also checked with Maserati of Raleigh to get their recommendation, and was really glad to hear them recommend this one. My insurance company called up Matt at Capital City Collision, and jointly they were able to prepare an estimate, since this body show specializes in Maseratis. Matt was extremely helpful and friendly in setting up the dropoff and even helped me arrange my rental car. I have never had an accident, but Matt was very patient and informative in explaining the process. After receiving the needed parts, they did the work quickly, with fantastic quality - cannot tell there was any prior damage whatsoever. Would not recommend anyone going to this collision center. I took my car in for an estimate and Matt assured me that my repairs were very simple and could be handled in a matter of 3 days. So he then proceeds to say he will send an estimate over to my insurance adjuster and myself within a couple of hours....2 weeks go by and no estimate was provided. I called the shop to ask what the deal was after a few days passed and my adjuster still had not received an estimate. He proceeded to say they had been without internet for a few days and would get the estimate over ASAP. Another week goes by still no estimate. I call and Matt acts like he sent the estimate over to my insurance adjuster and didn't know why she did not receive it. He asks could he give me a call back in a few hours once he double checks, never got a call back. So another week passes. At that point I decided to take my car elsewhere. If you can't send a simple estimate I can't imagine how long my car would've took to be repaired! read more
