In addition to the front entrance there are three other entry's (I think) around perimeter. Inside, the concourse goes completely around with vendors, merchants, trophy cases, restrooms. There a few different eateries than the generic stadium food; Salsaritas, Mr Seafood, Oriental kitchen, Caribbean cafe, donuts, ice cream. The inner arena doesn't have a bad viewing seat to the floor, just depends on preference. One thing neither the upper or lower seats have are cup holders like the baseball stadium. IMO the upper deck seats are slightly more comfortable than lower deck. The arena capacity is around 18,000, big for college venues.

Segra Park is kind of a fun park. It's in the Bull Street District, which is a lot more appealing…read morethan it used to be. I think the park, and the Fireflies organization, does a great job of trying to have something fun for everybody, whether you're a young child, a young adult, or a middle-aged adult. For example, one of the back corners of the park was full of inflatable bouncy houses, which I would have loved when I was a kid. In addition, they had a few bar areas for the adults, my favorite of which was the Wicked Weed Brewing station, which offered a handful of different options from the Wicked Weed brand. Finally, I noticed that a few different corporate groups were having gatherings at the game, which looked like a lot of fun.  Furthermore, I went to a Tuesday night game, which, unbeknownst to me, carried a bunch of deals on various concessions items, such as $2 hot dogs and popcorn, as well as another deal on Miller Lite (although I don't remember the specifics.) For the price I paid for the hot dogs, I was also pleasantly surprised by how good they tasted! I loved how the park had different seating options, such as the traditional stadium seating in between the bases, but also picnic-like tables that you could sit at on the sides. That was definitely good for eating my hot dog and fries! I'd say that the biggest thing lacking in regards to Segra Park is high-quality baseball. While it has everything else that you could want in a park, I don't really feel like the games are that enjoyable, largely because you're watching very low-level baseball, which isn't very compelling. Because of this, I'd probably drop in to one (1) Fireflies game a year, but would likely keep it at that.  All-in-all, Segra Park is a great minor league stadium, I just wish the product between the lines was better!

I chose this tour because it was simple and close to where I live, making it easy to pick a convenient time. I decided to take this tour at 8:30 on Friday, February 2nd. They seemed to run tours of campus every couple hours Monday- Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The purpose of this tour is intended mostly for students who possibly want to become a gamecock and further their education at the University of South Carolina. This campus tour is a very important part of recruiting potential students, so making sure it is as memorable and special as possible is a top priority of the school. My personal purpose for taking this tour besides for this assignment was because I was curious what features this school had that I wasn't currently utilizing or if the tour included interesting facts that I didn't know. I had never taken a tour of the USC campus before and I was trying to have the mindset of if I will still a senior in high school looking for my ideal college. The tour started at the USC visitor center near the South Carolina Statehouse off of Pendleton Street. The group I was with consisted of all most all high-school looking students along with their accompanying parents. The mode of transportation that was used for the entire tour was just walking. Walking was the only realistic way to take this tour unless there were golf carts or Segway scooters. The employee who was giving the tour was a senior who attended USC and was working as a peer leader. I liked the fact that the person giving the tour was currently in USC because he talked about what activities he was engaged in and he probably knew more about all the details of the school over someone who was an older graduate for example. The role of the tour guide was to explain what each building was used for and where certain things were. Lots of the parents in my tour group had questions, and they were answered with ease. He also gave a multitude of facts about different monuments and historic sites. One of my favorite facts he gave was about the Maxcy monument located in the horseshoe. The person who designed that monument was the same person who designed the Washington monument. There was a rumor back in the day at USC that the ball at the top of the Maxcy monument would only spin when a true southern belle walked past. I would say the tour was beyond satisfactory and I learned much, much more about USC then I had known before. The tour guide was friendly, I was never bored, and seeing the parts of the campus I had never seen, or only seen freshman year was extremely interesting. This tour provided the service of helping incoming high school students decide if this was the right school for them by showing them the different amenities and facts about the school. Overall the tour had a very positive impact on me as well as the way I viewed the University. I was glad that I chose to take this tour of USC to use as the subject of this project. I went into the tour hesitant and feeling a bit out of place since I already have gone to this school for three years. As the tour progressed my knowledge of the campus and interesting facts increased. I would recommend this tour to everyone who has the opportunity to take it, even if you already go here.

I had to email in order to see any updates, even though all my information was approved. Seems like they want you to pay out of pocket. very sketchy.

The Carolina Indoor track & field facility was excellent! This new facility hosted our kids track…read moreteam this past weekend (Jan/2020) and it was an amazing experience. The facility itself was nice. Great track and surface for the athletes. The pole vault station had a automatic pole-rasing apparatus. Very cool. High jump mats were new. Just a great experience for the kids. They had never run an indoor raised and embanked track before and this made for a great time. Seating is limited depending on the setup. I'd suggest bringing a camp chair just in case, they are allowed. This event, and most here, will require the clear bag policy, so don't bring your purse. Plenty of parking across the street at 1300 Heyward Street. They have bathrooms near the entrance. They "kept up" with the usage during our full day event. The only concern would be for those who's mobility is limited as it is a walk from the facaility floor and includes stairs. I'm sure there is a lift, I just didn't happen to see it. There are restaurants nearby as well, including the highly recommended DiPrato's within walking distance.

If you like volleyball and want something fun to do, I highly encourage you to go out and watch a…read moregame. The women's volleyball team can bring it and they definitely entertain. It was a packed house for sure. Parking at the Volleyball center is very limited but if you make a right on Park street there is a lot about a block or two away with plenty of space. Parking is free on days where there are no events going on at the Colonial Life Arena. The arena itself is very nice and for $5 you really cant find something cheaper to do for 2-3 hours. I read somewhere they have season tickets for $25 as well.

Founders Park (formerly Carolina Stadium) definitely sets the standard for college baseball…read morestadiums! While other venues have started to catch up in recent years, Founders Park remains one of the premiere places to watch a game when it comes to college baseball, and has been for years. The stadium is configured excellently, with great sight lines no matter where you're sitting or standing, and provides a cool peek into both teams' bullpens. The stadium also has wide-open concourses, ensuring they never (or rarely) get overcrowded while you're walking through. In addition, while the concessions are a bit overpriced, they do have a lot of different options, to include your traditional baseball stadium snacks, along with some other interesting food items. Finally, Founders Park does a great job of being a family-friendly venue, with a full playground for the kids to run around on, as well as a grassy "berm" that they can play in. Other patrons can also sit in this "berm", usually on a towel or blanket. To conclude, Founders Park is an awesome college baseball venue, which sets the standard for what a college baseball stadium should be. While I hope that the university continues to improve it, I hope that Founders Park will be around for years to come!
