    "8 is Enough!" #Family... bowling!
    Shoshana R.

Another family outing while visiting the south. With only a few days left on this trip I wanted an activity that all ages could participate in. As a group of 8, bowling was perfect. A decent alley, slightly dated in some areas but adequate for a day of fun. There are several lanes to accommodate multiple groups, an arcade sections and a food counter. The staff was pleasant but overwhelmed at times. We occupied two lanes as teams of four for two rounds of winner takes all. There was plenty of bowling balls in a variety of weights and finger hole sizes to choose from. Everyone from the 6yr old to the 60yr old found a ball that was their perfect match. We attacked the pins throw after throw until one of our lanes malfunctioned multiple times during game two. The staff remedy the situation both times but it took some effort to find someone to assist. Overall we had some fun family time and the 6yr was the MVP of the night as the high scorer. I wish I could use the assistance bars to bowl strike after strike as she did, without glares of judgement. Lol Can't recall the price tag because big brother treated but you pay for the shoes first and then pay for your games when you're done. Just A Note: In NY when you going bowling, they take one of your personal shoes to hold until you return your rented shoes. At Royal Lanes they work on the honor system that no one will walk out with their bowling shoes.

Our group experience of bowling and socializing at the Royal Z Lanes was outstanding, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating in handling all our concerns! We will be back! Thanks for the excellent hospitality!

Great place to bowl. Family friendly atmosphere. The have a lot of lanes. For the kids they have bumpers and ramps available. They run weekly specials so the price for the games change but shoe rental is about $3.25 - they are clean and in good condition. They do not store your shoe in its place but I never encountered a problem about keeping up with my shoes. The have many bowling balls available and they range from small light bowling balls for kids to the 16lb for your manly man lol. They are in good condition too. They do have neon bowling late nights. They allow bowling leagues. They have a karoake room that has pool tables They have a small diner that sell the usual: beer, hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, drinks. Fair prices. Their website tells you more and they have coupons. Ample parking.

    Haven't been here in awhile!!!

Had a blast at Royal Z Lanes-Spring Valley. The bowling lanes were not very crowded. Our lane was ready in less than ten minutes, not a long wait time. Staff was courteous & efficient when getting your bowling shoes and your lane they call you when the lane is ready... And I forgot to mention Royal Z, has thirty-one lanes.., We will be back, thanks to the staff!!!

EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF & MANAGER !!!

TERRIBLE customer service. We organized our first work party here for a special program we've developed - hoping to have a wonderful experience. There was a ball jam between 2 of the 3 lanes we were playing on. We could not play for over 20 min. When i addressed this with the staff and the manager they acted like they had no clue what i was talking about. They were extremely rude to myself and my boss. My boss told me we are NEVER to use Royal Z lanes again - this is not how people should do business. I asked to be compensated for the time lost with an additional 20-30 minutes of bowling as we only had 2 hrs and over 20 of it was spent waiting for them to fix the ball jam. I have seriously never in MY LIFE been treated so rudely by a manager. We were not asking for a lot. It was extremely fair to have the time lost from THIER error credited back to us. They were only willing to give us 10 minutes! Honestly , how hard is it to give us back the time we deserve, which would have been 20-30 minutes (nobody was bowling on those lanes after us btw) to make an entire group of people who would be willing to do business with you in the future happy?. I will spread the word to other companies we work with to not use Royal Z for any event. Here's a picture of the manager and another staff member who were extremely rude.

Unconventional 4 finger grip, but it works perfectly!! Thanks Chuck!!
    Christopher S.

Went to see Chuck today at the Royal Z pro shop. The ring finger on my bowling hand is messed up, so I cant use a conventional grip. Chuck hooked me up with a perfect grip that allows me to bowl pain free, and still hook the ball. That guys is an absolute pro. Very knowledgeable. Couldnt be happier!!!

A fun place to spend a couple of hours with the kiddos. Plenty of lanes, with bumpers and ramps available for younger bowlers. Shoes are clean and in good condition. House balls are available in a variety of sizes (although they top out at 15, and my husband normally prefers to bowl with a 16 lb ball). House balls are a little bit banged up, but that's not unusual for bowling alleys. Snack bar has typical bowling alley fare (sodas, hot dogs, fries, beer) and is reasonably good. There is usually a mix of bowlers there (families, couples, and a few teams). I've attended several kids' birthday parties there, and found them to be enjoyable and well-run. Overall, a place we enjoy visiting as a family every couple of months.

We ended up stopping at The Grand around 9/9:30pm on a Saturday. Upon entering the hostess informed us they were currently only serving the late night menu. We said no problem and elected to grab seats at the bar. There were several empty tables and a few empty seats @ the bar. However, the only two seats together at the bar needed to be cleared from the last patrons that were seated. We stood there for over 20 mins while Jacob continued to walk by never acknowledging us or the fact that we couldn't sit. When he finally cleared the dishes he just walked away, never cleaning the area. When he returned he still never greeted us or apologized for the wait, the mess... nothing. Jacob: What are you having? Me: Well hello... Jacob: Yea... what do you want? Me: Wow... ok. For starters can you please whip off the bar so we can properly have a seat. There is still food residue here from the last customers. ** we get a visible huff** He wipes down the bar and we proceed to order drinks, while he never really speak any more it's all via motions and body language. Amongst ourselves we check in with one another to confirm that we both were feeling very unwelcome. Instantly we decide that we will not be ordering anything additional and will be leaving after this one drink. Which is just as well because Jacob never returns. Someone , whom I can only assume was of a mangement status, asked if Jacob was helpful and we promptly and simultaneously said no and that we would like or bill. She shook her head in utter disbelief and disgust but then she also disappeared. Just so happened that Diamond, whom was on the other side of the bar happen to walk pass. She stopped and asked if we were ok after witnessing our frustration. We explained that we wanted the check and why we were leaving. She was super apologetic and closed out our tab. Her energy literal turned the experience around and if she would have came to our rescue sooner we would have considered staying. Thank you Diamond. Just A Note: Unfortunately, bad first impression because The Grand seems like it may offer a good time with the bowling lanes in the back.

Cons: Not a lot of balls when it is busy so people were walking up to others to ask to take their balls. When we got there, we weren't sure how many games we wanted to play and if we wanted to bowl 3 each to get the special, but the cashier said we could bowl whatever # we wanted and then decide later how to split it up when we were finished. We were litetally talking with her about the about the buy-2-get-1-half-off deal when she said that. When we went to check out to pay, a different cashier would not honor the special and said we would have had to pay for that at the beginning. The first cashier NEVER said that! I saw her afterwards and questioned it, and she said something like, "oh, yeah, you'd had to buy that before you started," and blew me off. I told her she never said that, and the rest of my party agreed 100%, and that she had told us she'd split it up after, but that didn't seem to matter. That's a bit of bait and switch action. Dishonest. We played 10 games total, 4 shoe rentals, and got ZERO discount, but should have gotten 3 games at half price. Also, they don't split a check by dollar amount, but by line item, which was also less convenient. Disappointing experience to have to pay more than expected and the cashier could have cared less.

My son's birthday party was here and as soon as we walked in, the two lanes we reserved had been set up in the cutest way ready for a party! We brought some balloons and table decor, but they had a whole buffet style set up decorated with a neutral farmhouse kind of decor behind the bowling alleys and it was very convenient for when everyone was ready to eat! The manager on duty came over and formally introduced himself to us before our party began. I believe his name was James, but I could be wrong. He was very cordial and had a great smile when he spoke to us. Then, a very sweet young lady named Morgan came over about 45 mins later while all the kids were bowling to introduce herself and let us know she will be taking care of anything we need during the party. She refilled our drinks and food constantly & even got us a cake slicer and brought out some plastic forks when it was cake time because I forgot to bring forks and a cake slicer. My son had a BLAST with his friends bowling and going into the arcade area!! Everything was just perfect!!! Each child was given a $5 credit on their arcade card and a $5 gift card to come back and bowl at Bowlero. I loved how that was part of the package too! We took some of the food home because it was so good! I mean I really didn't expect to have good food at a bowling alley but this place was great! At the end of our experience, the manager came by to ensure everything went well and even introduced the cook to us. He was very nice too! When I complimented his food, he explained how the chicken tenders are breaded fresh to order and how he changes out the oil for his fries every time too! That's why something so simple as chicken tenders and French fries can taste SOOOOO good! I mean they far succeeded my expectations! We will definitely be coming back here again! I even tried to convince my boy to have a party here again next year! Haha!

Everyone was very pleasant! So one thing that you should know for certain, once you step in the building, you're about to over pay for everything. Another fact, the food is not going to be gourmet. All that to say, you have to level set your expectations. That's just reality. Okay, onto the food. They have a variety of menu items with pages and pages of drinks. The cocktails are great, and I love that they offer Icee's. We ordered the kids pepperoni pizza, and it was a kid size personal pan. My kids enjoyed it. We also had the mozzarella sticks which were pretty tasty actually. The cheeseburger was good, I think they forgot my bacon jam now that I'm thinking about it. They were not stingy with the bacon which I really appreciated it. The ingredients looked fresh. The brioche bun was great. The fries were the season fries. Shoestring fries or regular fries would have been better. The chicken tenders are the best thing there. The grilled shrimp wasn't bad either. The food was not as bad as I thought it would be after the reviews. The thing is it is so expensive, but again you already know it's like going to a theme park and expecting fair prices. The temperature of the food was good as well. We had a lot of fun with the new additions!
