During my first appointment with Dr. Korman, I was asked questions I had never been asked, despite having been diagnosed more than 15 years earlier. She has helped me get to a point where I am living, no longer just existing with my disease. She is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to IBD specifically, but also more than willing to get outside input if there is something she is unsure of. I'm so grateful to have found her. I have been trying to get in touch with him since Nov 2020 (exactly 3 years) and so far I have only been able to get connected to the office twice. I give up. Plenty of other qualified doctors in the area. There's no way he is this bad at maintaining a competent office staff and phone line department in 2023. A pigeon would have successfully arrived in 3 years with my request but not his office staff. Sidenote, I referred him to my husband who got through to his office on the first attempt (miracle) and scheduled a tele-appointment in 2021. We waited for 30 mins for him to get on the line just to find out that the office never informed us that he had decided to cancel appointments and go on a vacation. This office refused to give the paper to my son, even though his work would not allow him to be able to do what is needed for his current condition. Horrible experience at this practice…read more 1. During discussion of my quite minimal medical history, Dr. Doman diagnosed me with possibly THREE major syndrdomes - Sjoren's (um, aren't you a gastroenterologist? my dry eye doctor says no Sjoren's), Cron's (only bcuz a relative had it), and Barrett's esophagus. Wow! All this without even doing an exam. After exam I had none of these. What a great bedside manner. Let's frighten the patient based on nothing. 2. I was told test results showed heartburn and gastritis. I took pills for a month, then figured out I had a problem with nuts. I was not able to make the follow up due to work problems and then Covid lockdowns hit. 3. Someone called me months later, during Covid, clearly trying to drum up money by getting people to do telehealth calls, with full charges to insurance and full copays. I said I didn't have the money at this time. This horrible woman then said: "Don't you want to know your pathology report?" OMG! how sick is that. I said, "if you have withheld negative test results from me I will absolutely sue you for malpractice." She refused to answer one way or the other and kept pressuring me. I gave in just to shut her up, then canceled the nexxt day. I would go near them after that. 4. They kept calling me to press for an appt! I had to write a letter to make them stop! These are some horrible people. 5. This week a bill collector called to tell me I owe $600, and they had sent three letters. TO THE WRONG ADDRESS. This place is a complete trainwreck, and anyone who would try to manipulate someone to give them money for an appt using fear is a very sick person. At some point I will go to another practice and if I find they hid negative test results from me for months I will be contacting my lawyer.
