I came here to see Bernie Sanders on his book tour. The Center is gorgeous and organized. There were plenty of ushers on hand for this sold out event, and everything ran smoothly. The Center is intimate but accommodating and I don't think there was a bad seat in the house . I was further back and still could see everything well. I was nervous I wouldn't get there in time to get a good seat (it was a 3 hour drive for me from RI) but I was really satisfied. I was also impressed with how quickly I got my ticket. I purchased it late Thursday night , and by Saturday the ticket was in my hand. Worth the 3$. My only qualm is that parking is not signed well. There is a parking garage but expect to walk. I'm fine with walking it just wasn't clear where the garage was or if it was municipal parking or for the Center.

Boggis greeted us at the door of a small but cozy venue...there were a number of people that had BYOB......which is ok with us... Boggis opened the show....with the same act that is seen on YOU TUBE 2011. (as I googled him to ensure that the show was appropriate for my 87 year old mother in law) I personally was disappointed in the three comedians...They seemed to be blind to today's issues....and Ken is in Boston, MA. It appeared to me that the Comics were clearly not prepared to entertain the audience of today. It is my suggestion that the comics do some work prior to their next show.....if they wish to keep the show alive....Mike's parents generator, and Ken's gay uncle ( when Ken is clearly gay) really is not funny... We paid a good amount of money to be entertained.....this missed the mark.

Finding the playhouse was easy and it's a few miles from downtown Meredith. Parking was really easy considering the show was sold out and the playhouse itself is picturesque and charming. The theatre only holds a couple of hundred so it's easy to get in and out. I would highly recommend coming to see a show. The actors are professionals and each show brings a different cast. The prices were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will be back!

But Felix played it Sooo over the top as to be repulsive. Nothing like the original tv show. Why he chose this, who knows. It didn't help that the whole first act was not funny at all. His acting made it torturous. A couple people walked out before the first act was done and a few more after the close of it. We were tempted but hung in. The second act was a somewhat funny thanks to more characters, but still...we couldn't wait for it to be over. The following is not a comment on "Oscar's" weight but on the impact of it. He is very large and reminded us all of Ralph Kramden, but larger. The 6 of us were worried for him when he had to run back and forth a little bit and was then breathing Very heavy and sweating profusely even after sitting a while. I couldn't stop looking at him as he sat in a chair, to see if he was ok. Every time he crossed the stage his weight was a distraction from the his acting and from the play. Which was sad since he Can act! In the end, not funny enough to sit through.

The facility and property has been well maintained. The new ownership and staff working were very outgoing and kind and helpful. It's a great and perfect throwback to yesteryear with the layout and how they do things. The owner said they do trivia and Cuban dance lessons among other fun events there. It's really a great find and I wish more towns had these small local joints where it's intimate and fun and a great experience. The burlesque show was awesome. The BT ALC Big Band lit up the room with an incredible blend of big band jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop, and the special guest, Nephrok!, brought amazing energy and personality to the stage. Jimmy's offered two great options for the night: a first-floor dinner-and-a-show package, and a third-floor countdown experience with a midnight champagne toast. The atmosphere was festive without feeling crowded, the sound was crystal clear, and the whole evening felt really well organized. Nephrok and the BT ALC Big Band were both outstanding -- tight, lively, and a blast to watch. Altogether, it was one of those nights you don't forget. Jimmy's continues to be one of the best live music venues around.
