I had my ears pierced and Charlotte, North Carolina and I was in tears after and I have a high pain tolerance as I have tattoos and that was crazy but skinny did a stand up job like super professional, funny personable he's great. What a great shop! My girlfriend has had some work done here, and loves their work. Today we used their piercer who was also amazing. I really liked the old school tattoo shop feel mixed with the professionalism and cleanliness you would find in a shop today. I noticed that they have the get what you get tattoo egg machine. After referencing Instagram to see the shop's artists, I was interested in giving them my business. Great looking work. I reached out to Justin Shelton, and upon being asked, I expressed my intentions of prolonged business due to a move, not being able to see my other artist, and having several large pieces that need finished. The only person that I have had a good experience with is the owner Skinny. He is one of the piercers. There have been two instances where I walked into this business and was treated like ish. Once by a woman tattoo artist and the other by Annie a piercer. I don't know why the men there treat people with respect and the woman are rude. I wont ever get a tattoo there because of the treatment. And now I don't even know if I'll return even for piercing again because I am very passionate about good customer service! I know its hard to find people to work these days but you also don't want to hire someone with a shit attitude! So inonly recommend Skinny for piercing. read more

I booked my appointment online & everything was super easy! You get reminders so you won't forget & the atmosphere is so rad! I originally wanted my second lobes & a helix piercing. Annie gave me some advice & mapped out my ear. With a few suggestions, I decided on a snug instead of the helix. I like that she took the time to map out my ear & recommend something that was personal to me. In addition, she took her time to make sure everything was perfectly aligned. Skinny is the GOAT! He is incredibly sweet and friendly, holds a nice conversation that softly distracts you if you are nervous to get your piercing, like a child getting a shot from the doctor. All the piercings I have gotten from him were less painful then I thought they would be, he does a clean and quick job, and checks in to make sure you are okay. The rest of the staff is very friendly. Very clean place, decent pricing, etc. I couldn't recommend skinny more! He is great and I tell all my friends about him. If you are claustrophobic, this place might not be best for you, it is a small little space, but because of COVID they only let in so many people at a time. They follow protocol etc... LOVED Annie! My family is pretty conservative so I was already worried about their reaction when they agreed I could get a second lobe piercing, especially after I got my first piercing done at Claire's when I was really little and it was a TOTAL disaster which left both ears infected, one pierced twice by accident, and the piercing on my left migrating weird, but was easy for my family to try because it had an atmosphere my family was more comfortable with. When we got to Capitol City, the place was pretty clean, organized neat, and Annie guided us through the procedure before it would happen. She was incredibly patient in answering every question we had about sterile equipment, allergen safe material, etc. and explained the cleaning process for the piercing before and after the procedure, and made sure I was comfortable each and every step of the way. Throughout the process, she was also training another piercer, and just hearing about gauge size and her anatomy knowledge helped my family be more comfortable; and after describing the situation with my first piercing to help explain the anxiety I had about getting another done, her genuine horror followed by affirmation of her legitimacy really showed the depth of Annie's dedication in keeping piercings safe and fun. Given how my family is, they were worried about how respectful and legit the operation would be, and I'm glad they let us give Annie a chance. Definitely recommend! read more

Skinny pierced my daith almost a year ago. He was calm, informative and over all did a great job. I was nervous and I hadn't been pierced in 15 years. He walked me through everything he was doing while it happened which was great. He gave me a cleaning solution that worked really well too, it was fairly cheap. I stopped in the shop a few weeks later because I was worried it was infected. He took a look at it and assured me it was healing as expected which I really appreciated. He was so friendly and said I could stop in any time with questions. I just got new jewelry put in last week, he has a great selection and I love the moon stone captive bead ring I got!! I've also been tattooed by Josh, Justin, Travis AND Matt at the shop. They're all super solid tattooers that are funny as shit and always willing to do a good tattoo at a fair price. I set up a piercing appointment 2 weeks in advance. told Skinny I would be there at 5, we pulled up at 4:30 to them locking up and they said they were closed for the day and wouldn't take a peircing. pretty crappy when we drove an hour and a half both one way. I went and got my cartilage re-pierced, it costed $60 and I tipped him $5. Capitol city used a needle and it hurt way less then the gun. Skinny was the guy who pierced my ear and I highly recommend going and getting piercings here especially by him, he was very nice. Definitely will be going back to get more piercings. read more

I scheduled my appt and when I got there the scheduled piercer didnt feel comfortable stretching from a 4 to a 2. Then I was told I had to bring my own jewelry. It was a waste of my time on my birthday as well as another after having to reschedule. The customer service was good but the inability to to do all that required with a simple stretching was to much. How can you be a tattoo and PIERCING studio if your not proficient at all that comes with it. I will not be going back for any services ever.
