He was very open to any ideas I had around the design and put together something awesome in the end. This was one of the more painful tattoos for me, but he was very patient with me. This happened in 2018 but still bothers me. My brother-in-law recommended me to come here since he has a pretty solid relationship with his artist. I found her through her Instagram and came in to make a deposit. But while I was waiting one of her co-workers started to talk with me, and while it was veiled as small talk it was quite hostile. It was like he was questioning my sincerity in wanting a tattoo or even my taste. I didn't understand why it was happening or what I had done. I was as polite as I could be and hoped I was mistaken. It lasted like the whole 20 minutes I was waiting, and I couldn't handle it anymore so I left. There was no way I wanted to sit in that shop for hours getting a tattoo with that guy throwing shade at me from his chair. So I went somewhere else. read more

First tattoo experience, I checked out several shops before settling on Aces and Eights. My biggest concern was that the parlor be clean, and A&E was spotless. All of the staff was helpful and the place had a great atmosphere, fun artists and classic rock playing. I felt so welcomed that I decided to get the tattoo right then, which they accommodated. Ali sat down with me and worked out every detail until I was happy with it, and made sure she had it positioned perfectly before beginning. She did a fantastic job and for a fair price. Came in with a friend to get a couple of simple and small tattoos. The guy (unnamed because he didn't even introduce himself) was immediately judgmental of our tattoo choices and kept asking us why we'd get them. When my friend was asking about what the price would look like for a simple script tattoo he copped an attitude and told her outright that her wanting it in old English was dumb because you 'can't even read it.' We left. If you wanted to feel antagonized and judged come to Aces & Eights, ask for the guy with no hair. read more

I first found this place last summer upon chance. I yelped it and I saw that this shop had great reviews. Went in with my friends and decided I wanted a small tattoo. My artist was Ross. He did excellent work on the tat of my choice. Fast forward to this year, recently, I decided to get a cover-up tat and change it. Of course, I went back to Ross as I believe one should allow the original artist to work on their art. The best decision ever!!! Ross covered my old tattoo with a peacock feather I wanted. He designed the feather to how he felt would look great against my body and the location of where it is. He really is brilliant. The shading, the color.... everything is pristine!! He definitely takes his time as every artist should, so that you know that he is taking great care and has very good attention towards what he is doing. After all, once it's on, it's on. This took place just last week, but the tat is healing very nicely and you can't even see the old tattoo underneath which from my understanding is hard to do unless the artist knows exactly what they're doing; which, Ross definitely does!!! Hands down, the best shop and artist, by far!! :) Go there and set up an appointment with Ross! You will not be disappointed! Trust me. read more
