My daughter had her XV here one year and a half ago and they have yet to return our deposit, the venue was changed due to the original being shut down because of fire marshal safety code violations. We broke no contract rules and always paid on time. The photos and video they offered were mid quality. After many emails requesting my deposit it has yet to be returned. After speaking with Mr. Esteban he told us that he was going to edit the video and I waited another month and in the end he told us that he wouldn't. This venue is literally one of the best kept secrets in Houston! This place is so gorgeous and beautifully decorated! The decor is modern, chic and so classy! From the beautiful wall at the entrance to the grand background at the head table, this venue offers beautiful backdrops for great pictures! The table cloths, linens and centerpieces were modern and elegant. The bathroom was always clean and well stocked. The staff is extremely attentive helpful and super friendly! I recently held my second family event (bridal shower) at this venue and they continue to impress every-time! The were accommodating to our request for socially distanced seating and set up our tables to be spaced far apart with only limited seating per table. I highly recommend this venue! My family and I will keep coming back here to host our events for many years to come! read more

STAY AWAY from Capitolio Reception Hall or ESTEBAN SALAZAR. He has been shut down since May of 2023 (warnings posted outside on the door hidden behind artificial trees) and never notified his clients. I was forced to cancel one week before my daughter's event and left to find a new location. Esteban has refused to refund me. He claims his contract allows him to reschedule although it is not valid. He claims Natural Disaster, but technically it's negligence and failure to maintain his business. Esteban agreed with my lawyer to pay me back but now ignores our phone calls. He admitted he doesn't have the money for a new venue and he can not guarantee his venue will be available. I have filed a police report and I will be taking Estevan to small claims court. Countless hurdles, delays, threats of cancellation. They take 5 months to turn over photos and videos which include 10 pictures of the tiny scarce fruit table they set up for you and an hour and a half of a still camera that might as well have been an iPhone on a stand. They had the actual videographers running around acting like they were getting cool shots of the quince but oops, guess what that footage isn't included. They take it just so they can tell you it's $600 more if you want to include it in the video. Disgraceful. Owner Esteban who ALSO owns the photography studio he includes in his packages has to be forced to accommodate after changing things on the clients and likes to come up with intricate excuses to get you to back off what was promised in the contract. I don't know where the helpful service some positive reviews claim from this venue, from start to end we had a disappointing experience with the owner and the secretary that helps him run things. This place is amazing !!! We had my daughters sweet 16 there !! The owner is very attentive and friendly . He has a great staff that is always helpful no matter what we needed we could call and get a response right away and great communication skills. The night of the event I did not have to worry about anything it was all handled by the wonderful staff . They were also very helpful at the end of the night helping us carry things out to our car . I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a phenomenal experience!! read more

I had my wedding last year and till now I haven't go pictures or video and now they are saying that they didn't save anything so everything is deleted. A day before my wedding I took my drinks and everything I need it for the wedding and on the day of no wedding a liquor bottle went missing. I rarely do reviews but this is just frustrating. This review is long overdue. However this is not a place I would recommend if you would like to be a content bride. Please read fine print and do not do verbal agreements because Esteban will turn around and say he forgot the entire conversation(or act like it). It was not what I wanted to experience as a bride, he was not comforting and the whole process was despairing. Unfortunately I had to deal with this place for about 12 months after rescheduling my date twice. That alone was disturbing, it felt like I was walking on thin ice every time I requested information over anything from this guy. My wedding finally happened by a miracle after all the issues and discussions which as a new bride, no one deserves. I can type all day long, but long story short it got to the point where I would have my husband communicate with this man and he hated it. Our wedding was scheduled June 19, 2021, it finally happened. Here we are August 31, 2022, still waiting on a frame and my MAIN wedding photograph that was stated I would receive in my contract. I called Esteban right before the year in June 2022 and its all excuses, that his photography company didn't work out and he was looking for a new one.... blah blah blah. So whatever I didn't push the issue although it was in, my CONTRACT. All bs. All im saying is DO NOT do verbal agreements and read carefully because he is very quick to pull that contract out over the minimum thing. Not worth a single penny. read more

I had a quinceanera two years ago at another venue. My daughter had a blast but thats it. I couldn't enjoy the night because I along with my family became the coordinators the entire night. My package included the coordinator but he did not do a good job. But a week ago on my second quinceanera not only did my second daughter had a blast we her entire family did too!! This why I am writing this review. I loved this place!! First of all it is absolutely beautiful and elegant. This place looks actually like the pictures. The quinceanera's room was very gorgeous!! But most importantly the party coordinator Alondra was great!! Maria Gonzalez and the rest of the staff were caring not only towards us but also to everyone at my party!
