I should've walked out when I sensed the vibe. The man that was there to greet me was cool. But the guy who tattooed me had an off demeanor. When he was done, I was like oh cute. But I got home and inspected further, and I'm like the stem is messed up and so is the number 1. It's kinda wonky in some spots. It's not like he was in a rush because there were a billion people there. I was the only one. I understand you lower your expectations with a Friday the 13th tattoo, but that's why they're pre-made. Good kid has college credits in high school and my first born. The shock of my hub knowing I'm getting my son what he wants and he knew he didn't win this battle. Took my baby boy to Capone's I met these sweetheart's and told them what I didn't want.....Well I met my match...Cran told me it wasn't my tat yep shut me down. Ladies he's handsome too. Listen he was professional,everyone was, down to earth and I enjoyed this experience for my baby boy. Clean shop, professional artist, and ready to tat. Hands down I'm going back cause I'm jealous that I didn't do it while I was there...I mean 17 years ago I had to remove my clit piercing to birth this little boy. PROS: overall my experience was good, I came in for just a piercing and the man who did it was efficient and perfectly fine. GROWS: there was no option for jewelry and I probably would've felt more comfortable given more communication or instructions during and after the service. That being said, I don't expect perfect bedside manner in a tattoo shop and overall am still very satisfied. read more

First thing, some old guy with the shakes was sucking on a cig like it was gonna save his life. It was one of their customers. He was GREEN. The so called artist worked on him anyway. Go figure. Major attitude here, they seem to think they are the baddest thing in the state. Lots of bad gossip about other shops in the area. Smirking and snickering. For what they charge you'd expect skills. Super chill and clean shop. Kevin has done all of my piercings (I've gotten 6 with him total). The price isn't that bad either. On Friday and Saturday, the piercings are only $30 each (above the waist), and $45 for the rest of the week. But Kevin is super calm and always makes me feel comfortable when I come in. I went to this place cause of the weekend deal of 30$. Kevin did my belly piercing. And to be honest looking at his reviews i was pretty scared and wanted to back out but the wait wasn't pretty bad since he was doing another tattoo on a guy prob around 15-20 mins. When it was my turn he called me in and he didn't really talk until my boyfriend bought up something. But unlike the reviews, he was really nice. He told me what he was going to go and made me comfortable. And even after the piercing he told me how to take care of it and the do's and don't. Oh my, this might have been one of the worst piercing experiences I've ever had. Generally I go to a piercing place in Germantown and have had amazing experiences w them bc their piercer is so talented. Can't say the same for Capone's. I came in today w a friend to get piercings, was greeted upon entering and told it would be a 45 minute wait since the only person in the shop licensed to pierce was working on a tattoo. Okay no worries, we decided to wait the time. Once it was our turn, we sat in the chair and were not spoken to other than "which ear you want it on?" and a few words here and there. My friend simply had her cartilage pierced and my God I've never seen someone bleed so much. He was aggressively rubbing away at her ear rather than letting the q-tip soak up the blood. Not even after 15 seconds of cleaning, he told her she was done and called me over. She was still visibly bleeding!! What the heck. Anyways, I originally had gone to get 2 piercings done and after the way he tugged and pulled on my fresh daith piercing, I refused to get the second one I had wanted. He kept digging his finger in my ear to turn the jewelry instead of just using clamps to hold on to it instead. He tried this method 5 times before unwrapping his clamps and then managed to get the ball on... smh I can't see myself returning just for a $30 (instead of $40) piercing. Yikes. read more

I went in for my first piercing ever. The shop itself was clean, and the guy at the front was really chill. The guy that came to grab me and do my piercing seemed...a bit bored. Which, fine, I suppose. He answered my questions, but he seemed really uninterested and almost fed-up with my being there UNTIL I started showing interest and asked questions. Besides that, there were two complaints I had afterwards: 1) They didn't give me any piercing cleaner / saline solution, which I had been told by all my friends that I'd be given some. I had to buy some which, that's fine, but if someone could have TOLD me, that would have been great. My friends told me to make sure to "use the solution every day and be diligent", otherwise I wouldn't have known to need it since it was my first piercing ever. 2) I bled all over my shirt. I had expected that, hence why I wore black, but NOBODY told me I was bleeding (since I couldn't see it, it was my left earlobe). I just thought that was a bit rude, as they could have at least given me a tissue if they saw it bleeding and about to drip onto my shirt. Finally, while the piercing was lined up, it's too high (compared to my friends'), which is why it probably bled all over the place? I'm not sure... I'm not sure if I'll be going back, but hey, if you want 30 dollar piercings on a Friday or Saturday, this IS the place to go, since they offer that. Just...don't expect the best service... They'll get it done and then toss you out like you're just another number. read more

The service was okay. The guy doing my piercing had an attitude with me and my friend. He could've been more gentle. The environment wasn't very welcoming. But you get what you pay for. The piercing did not really how we wanted our look nor discussed the way it was going to go. Wouldn't go for any major piercing. read more

I got my septum priced here and it was a terrible experience, I had to take out the jewelry within an hour. Firstly, the vibes of the place are way off. All the decorations on the wall are about how much they like hurting people. When I got the actual pricing, they didn't let me pick the jewelry and I found out later they pick for you depending on if they think your a man or woman instead of letting you choose between the two sizes. the jewelry itself is also very bad quality and externally threaded so it's not pleasant going in or out. The pricing was incredibly crooked and went through my cartilage. The piercer has no idea what he's doing and doesn't describe after care to you. If you're looking for a piecing in Baltimore go somewhere else. read more

When I went into to get a tattoo I was so scared and nervous. This was my first tattoo the guy who did my tattoo was Mike I think lol. I want everyone to know to go to him he was the nicest person ever! I really liked him. He made me feel confident and less nervous and scared. He was great to talk to and have a conversation with. Overall the price was great for what I got and this tattoo means everything to me now. I will recommend anyone who wants a tattoo to come to this shop because the people were nice, it was laid back, and comfortable environment. I had never been to Capones Ink before, so I took a shot in the dark and went to have a previous tat filled in. The original artist had went way wayyy too deep, and upon healing (after an infection) over half the ink was gone. Kevin is the artist who agreed to fill it in, but upon inspection he had to redo the entire thing, outline and all, so it would blend properly and show no breaks. I found Kevin to be both skilled and pleasant. He was very careful because he said he could feel the scar tissue underneath the needle. After reading other reviews on here, I must say I didn't find Kevin to be the least bit unpleasant, we had great convo while he was fixing another artist's inexperienced mistake. To top it off, there was no price increase from the original quote of just a fill in, so I was certainly not taken advantage of. Kevin even told me to stop back in a couple weeks after healing to check the result, and he would do an additional touch up, free of charge if its necessary, which I dont think it will be. I thank Kevin for his expertise, I have almost no scabbing at all, and I look forward to scheduling my next appointment with him. read more

Awesome place to get tattoos done. I got my first one done by Wolf and I love it. The job was done very professionally and I will absolutely be back. Overall, a great place that is clean and has many people that specialize in many different styles to suit your needs. It was also great to talk and hang out with them, they take their job seriously but don't mind acting like normal people and making everyone comfortable. I recommend Capone's Ink to anyone looking for a professional job at a solid price.
