Fair warning, they charge $200 hourly for medium to large tattoos, so it can get pricey depending on what you are looking to have done. Trust me when I say you are paying for quality. My artist, Tony, specializes in black and grey realism. I wanted a black and grey waterfall with a rainbow shooting through the middle. He was honest with his opinion (he didn't like the rainbow idea), however he gave me exactly what I wanted and it turned out beautiful. He usually doesn't work on Sunday's but he made an exception for me when I scheduled the tattoo, so he is relatively flexible if he can make it work. He has also been nationally recognized as an artist and has about 20 years of experience. Charmed Life is a great place for all of your tattoo desires.

One is pretty simple - the DC flag. The other, a bit more complex - Celtic design inside a bicycle crank chainring. He was ready when I arrived and showed me the designs, offering to make any changes (none were necessary). He told me what to expect and how much time each should take to line and shade, went to work expertly and nailed it almost to the minute for each. He left me well prepared for post-care. She then scheduled me about two and a half weeks out (mainly because I wanted a Saturday appointment). At the appointment, we agreed on her design based on what I requested and she got to work. I…read morecalled the shop soon after they opened & after hearing that they take walk ins, I sent my inspiration photos, calmed myself (because my nervous excitement was very real I found myself on the cobblestone streets where Saints & Sinners is. Dwaine greeted me & gave me a concise rundown of the process. Upon hearing it was my first time, he was very warm and reassured me that I was in good hands. Waited while my design was drawn up by Dave (who is also the resident landscaper) & took in all the inspiration on the walls. There were frames and books a-plenty. About 10 minutes later, Dave tells me to come upstairs - it's getting real now! From the time he laid the stencil down to the last swipe took all of a solid 20 minutes; I hadn't even got to the juicy part of the podcast I was listening to. After my tears (happy & bittersweet ones for personal reasons) and my payment, I left the shop with my tattoo wrapped well & with stickers, pins and lollipops in my aftercare kit. Sweet. If I could give any advice, I would recommend getting a different type of saniderm aftercare bandage wrap. Mine came off that day after sweating (dancing at the club). I came back the next day and they gave me two patches just in case it came off. The bandages I've had at other places never came off at sweating or even taking a shower.

Casey was so warm and welcoming through the entire process. She clearly listened during my consultation and when I showed up at the first session her artwork was way better than I could have imagined. I threw a LOT at her to incorporate and she did it beautifully! Getting the actual tattoo was such a comfortable experience both sessions. She is kind, funny, and constantly checking in with you to make sure you're ok (and numbing you when you might not be lol). It's also clear she fosters a warm and welcoming vibe in her shop and it shows with how friendly the rest of the artists are as well. I'd happily spend another 9 hours in her tattoo chair and would love to do one of her intuitive tattoos in the future!

The hoop had a diamond inlay…read moreconsisting of 7 diamonds. the piercer, Tasha was unable to get the hoop in and said that my piercing (which was done elsewhere) was making it difficult. after 30 minutes, the hoop was in but badly damaged. Ultimately I left without being charged and a diamond broke away from my hoop while the metal is mangled and deformed. the precautions taken to not damage the jewelry did not go far enough. Someone should have tongs with rubber teeth so as to not bite or leave indentations on precious/soft metals. she was kind and patient but ultimately my day is ruined and so is my jewelry! Update: The profile responding is not actually Vinnie to start. Vinnie (the business owner) did not see me at all the day I came in and never once spoke to me. Tasha (the one leaving the response) claims i came in on Tuesday... a blatant lie. I came in on Saturday the 30th and have posted a call log and texts from the 30th. The Jewelry was bent where the diamonds were set, as tongs were used directly over the set diamonds. My issue was Tasha seems to have little experience with fine metals and paper towel isn't going to keep 14k gold from being damaged... Truly lackluster to see Tasha reply as Vinnie, LIE about me coming in at all on Tuesday, and try to claim damage wasn't done in the studio. If at any point a professional feels they can't complete their job they should say so and stop at a reasonable point.
