Seated at a nice table to watch the soccer match. I tried the asparagus soup (it's the season I was told) which was too hot, semi sweet and reminded me of paste you made from water and flower as a child. The wine list is decent with some good local selections (even by the glass). Ordered the lobster and truffle mash potatoes which were chewy and semi warm. My advice is that they need to be a little less into themselves and a little more into the customer.

There's an emphasis on old Italian/Greek architecture in the courtyard and I was amazed to see it wasn't filled with people. This is also the first place I went to in Spain that had a proper Iced Latte on their menu (and not just a latte with a side of ice) - I know the American visitors will appreciate this lol! This place is tucked away at the end of a road overlooking a beautiful beach about 8-10 minutes east of the the St. Regis resort. I'm so glad I didn't simply fall into the Siren-like enchantment of the St. Regis, and chose to venture out for dinner. The sunset was stunning, but the food... The food was simply amazing. Knowing I would review the restaurant, I ordered a 5 course prix fixe selection at 92€. First came homemade bread, followed by a delicious gazpacho (compliments of the chef). The bread was served with an olive tapenade that was fantastic. Following this was the start of 5 courses with a thinly sliced (cooked) Tuna appetizer served with a purée on top. Great, although a bit on the salty side. Bot suThis was followed by an amazing seared scallops with artichoke purée and topped with Iberian crispy bacon bits. Yum. The main dish of seared pork was good, but here's a great example of "American" expectations. This pork is so dark and so rich I actually had to ask if it was beef! I know, I know. How uncultured, but I'm telling you, it was as dark as beef, as rich as beef, and nearly impossible to decipher. For a split second I thought they actually brought me someone else's plate. Super rich. Fantastic. And then came dessert. I was SO full, and so glad I tried this local fixture.

I had a simple breakfast here and it was quite reasonably priced. A strong cafe con leche with a two boiled egg and toast plate. Easy, simple, filling. I think my waiter would have much preferred if I had also gotten some juice and spent more money but it is what is is.
