He spent over three hours not just patiently, but happily helping me, listening to my thoughts on what I wanted, offering sound and useful advice based on my needs and my price range. I ended up learning a great deal of interesting and useful information on how to wear suits, what goes with what, and more than that I ended up with an extremely flattering, excellent quality set of suits, socks, and ties. I have quality products that are expected to last me upwards of 7-8 years, and feel satisfied at having made a sound investment in myself and in my career. My fianće and I went to Capra and Cavelli's last evening to find him a wedding suit. We knew to ask for Buddy or Kenneth, mostly from all the good reviews here. Luckily, Buddy was available, and the experience was so easy and fun. (I HATE to shop as a rule!) We already had a navy blue suit in mind, with a vest, white shirt, and silver tie. (I had seen this look in our photographer's album and liked it.) I had already picked out a nice wedding dress. We showed the pics to Buddy, and he took my fianće's measurements, and then just brought great-looking, great-fitting suits to us. We were offered something to drink, and I enjoyed 3 glasses of prosecco! (My fianće was driving...) The suits that Buddy brought to us were FABULOUS. The white shirt he brought fit Tom like a glove! My experience at Capra & Cavelli was a great one! I'm not a suit and tie kind of guy, for the most part. However, there are times when I need to "clean up real nice" for work and / or fancy social events. Given that such clothing isn't cheap, I don't trust myself to buy these things without having someone to advise me. (I once bought a suit without any help at all, and I ended up looking like an overweight comedian. And I'm not overweight. For that matter, I'm not a comedian) That's the beauty of C&C. I walked through the door and was greeted by Buddy Estrella, told him why I was there, and what I was looking for. I called Capra & Cavelli about four weeks out from a wedding in need of a custom tuxedo. Victor answered and assured me he could make the deadline work and he absolutely did. I went in the same day with a particular tuxedo in mind. Victor humored me with the look and also gently offered some style advice based on my body type and preferences. Turns out he was completely right. The tuxedo we created was far better than what I had in mind. He took the time to understand my preferences, get my measurements really dialed in, and delivered a tuxedo on a tight deadline that is the sharpest in any room that I walk into - he absolutely killed it. I found Capra & Cavelli on Yelp, and went up there to find a tuxedo for my husband for our wedding. Stephanie immediately pulled a Betenly suit off the rack that fit my husband perfectly - she then went ahead and ordered it in a tuxedo. On all subsequent visits, Kenneth was our man. He helped us put together the entire look, nailed all the tailoring, and my husband's tux looked fantastic on our wedding day. This store is certainly more expensive than we're used to for suits and menswear (I think most suits would be in the $500-$1000) range, but it was definitely worth the splurge for a tux that looks like it was custom made.
