My experience with LA Boutique unfortunately came in the midst of the COVID19 Pandemic. We visited LA Boutique to rent a tuxedo for my son's Senior Prom. We were all very excited about this as he was out of town for the Junior Prom, so this would be his one and only prom. My son picked out, in my opinion only, the most ridiculous looking tux! Lol. He loved it! The staff that was helping us were all awesome. The gave just enough professional opinion to help us choose accessories to the tux that would not look bad, but refrained from trying to sell us something different that what this crazy kid wanted. The week of his prom is when COVID hit. Obviously, LA Boutique was at the point that they already at least began, if not finished, altering clothes to my son's size. This means they were out some money. In spite of that, because prom was ultimately cancelled and my son never got to wear his dream tux, they provided us with a full refund! I was only expecting a partial refund, as I expected they would have to at least recuperate their costs. There are only two places that I know of in Temple to rent tuxes. I can't imagine the magnitude of the financial hit this business took with proms across the county all being cancelled this year. They did this to make sure their customers were taken care of first. My brother is getting married and I was asked to be a bridemsaid in the wedding. I of course said, YES! I knew immediately that any dress would have to be altered since I'm a lot shorter than the gowns are. I searched several places in town and found this place that had decent reviews. I decided to take a leap and give them a shot, they were also one of the few places that had hours that worked with my schedule for their seamstress to be there. There were a few other alterations that needed to be done instead of just the length. As soon as I put the dress on, the seamstress knew immediately the changes that needed to be made. When I got the notice that my dress was ready, I was nervous. I tried the dress on at the place to make sure everything was the way it needed to be. The length was perfect but the neck was a little too tight. It was fixed perfectly and timely for the wedding. They not only do dress alterations but regular clothing as well. We had gone to visit Davids Bridal for a prom dress before coming to LA Boutique. The staff at Davids didn't help my daughter adjust or try anything on. They were very stand-off-ish where we pretty much had to do everything on our own in trying anything on. No clipping the dress, no helping, nothing. Even the selection of dresses was awful and all were pretty plain. We came to LA Boutique about two weeks later. They had an amazing selection of dresses, too our selections to a room for us, the lady helping us helped my daughter get into the dresses, clipped them for her, adjusted what needed to be, helped us out so much. She gave my daughter shoe options to try with the dress and listened to what she liked. They had excellent customer service! Top notch! The dresses were cute, affordable, and so were the alterations (affordable and fantastic). They had shoes and jewelry in stock so we didn't need to go shopping anywhere else. A true one-stop shop! I'll definitely go back for any other formal wear needs we have. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! I had so much trouble finding a dress that fit me the way I wanted with dress sizes ranging on true measurements etc. First dress I brought in I was given honest feedback about not being able to get it altered down after being rudely shot down at Johnnies. At LA Boutique he took the time to educate me, was patient with me, and genuinely cared. After all it is for my wedding. So I finally found one that I loved but the chest/back area was too small and I brought it to LA Boutique to get more honest feedback. He took in my ideas and executed alterations and made MY DREAM DRESS! It looks like I bought it this way, straight from factory! I cannot say enough great things about this business. To top it off, I dropped it off on a Wednesday and got it back the following Monday morning. Great customer service, amazing pricing, and meticulous detail in alteration. I needed a formal dress for a wedding. I found the perfect dress but it was way to long. I sew but did not want to hem the two layers. I found LA Boutique online as I am fairly new to Temple. I was greeted when I went in and I was shown to a dressing rooms. My dressed was pinned to the proper length and I was given a reasonable price for both hems to be shortened. They asked me when I needed it and a time was scheduled for pick up. I received a text two days before the scheduled date that the dress was ready. Both times, I tried on 2 other dresses before trying on the 3rd one & absolutely falling in LOVE! & not only that, but both of the dresses were extremely cheap for their value. & the alterations only take 10 days, if that!
