I bought a $10 shirt from the clearance area! Lol! This spot is trendy! Love the fitting rooms. The gear is dope as well. Shoutout to the girl who worked there with glitter in her hair. She was super upbeat and friendly. She seemed excited to show me where the sale items were stashed at. To my dismay, most of the sale items were $25 and up. Unfortunately, I have had a bad experience at "Co-Star". I was very excited when this place first opened up, but I have been there 3 times now and have yet to be helped by any of the staff. The clothing looks cheap and too trendy and I'm pretty sure the buyer is just going to other boutiques and stealing their lines because I see the same stuff at Y&I and Dog & Pony. Co Star is just like Maya Star but has Men's clothing items and a cool little vintage section in the back. They are a little pricey but I love everything in here. They have so many funny t-shirts and very fashion forward clothing items as well. Swimsuits, bags, funny greeting cards, ECT.. They are super helpful and friendly and even serve free alcoholic beverages or non alcoholic while you're shopping. It definitely helps you get over some of the prices. You can pick up a vintage band tee for a hefty $60+ when you can get the same one on Amazon for $10. The only reason I give 4 stars is because of the price but it's very touristy and trendy. I shop here quite often and hit up the sale rack as much as possible. If you don't have a budget. I highly recommend this place. Very cute/cool!! read more

Fun tees and some very cute tops and dresses. They have a vintage shoe and clothing section which I enjoyed more than the "new" items because, let's face it, I am vintage. It's worth checking out if you are on SoCo. Hey, three sentences. That's pretty good. Okay, now five...uh six. read more

Co-Star is located along S Congress, so hit the trailer food and carefully cut across the street - or take the crosswalk*. There are some really cool t-shirts here, one in particular with a leprechaun fighting a jackelope! I came in with some female friends, who spent way more time than we needed to in there. A sister store to Maya (also on S Congress), the prices are a little more steep than what some thrift store shoppers are looking for...I definitely couldn't spend $33 on a shirt there - especially when they wouldn't give me a military discount. ;) Definitely worth stopping in, there is a Sale rack in the very back you may want to sift through. read more

A neat store, with a lot of random items locally made in Austin. The staff are friendly as can be, and they have a lot of neat decorations on the walls. The reason for the 3 stars is overpriced clothing. I'm sorry, but (for example) if I'm going to spend $400+ on a leather jacket, I'd rather go with a designer who's clothes I'm more familiar with. read more

Awesome mens selection. I come here for Nudie Jeans, Rag & Bone and John Varvatos. I wear size 29 jeans and do have trouble finding my size especially with sale stuff but I was able to find plenty in my size here. read more

The 1 Star is for the Clothing and accessories that have a cool vibe/style but 2 of the most repelling things made me decide I didn't want to give any of my money to this business. Firstly my daughter and I walked in and began to look around at all the really cute items. No one greeted us and after awhile I looked around assuming they were busy helping other customers... nope, just one girl hanging at register with no customers and the other girl was putting some items away on sales floor and was right by us, did not say anything, no greeting, no asking if we needed any assistance, nada. So we continued looking around and after realizing how extremely high the prices are for mostly "Made in China" Clothing/accessories- I decided I didn't care how cute any of the stuff was b/c the lack of customer service/hospitality. Also I must say we are visiting from Los Angeles so sadly we're used to poor customer service back home but while we have been to a few Cities in Texas while visiting (Houston, Lake Conroe,Waco) we have been so impressed with how kind and welcoming people are at their businesses... well not here, which in the end sucks for the owners if they have employees like the ones we experienced. read more

Stopped in Co-Star in February and bought items that one does not find, just anywhere. Unique, fun and priced right. Staff is gracious and helpful without being intrusive. They have another store about a block a way, called Maya Star. Great merchandise priced fairly and, again friendly staff that know the goods well. Austin has very little boutiques for men and you have to love that this store's ability to blend causal and fashion. Great one-of-a-kind t-shirts, jeans and more. A relaxed atmosphere, plenty of seating and dressing rooms. There are clothes for women here too, but the men's selection is large. read more

I love Co-Star! I live nearby and am always walking or running past it, and the t-shirts they usually have out on their manikins are always cracking me up. I finally stopped in and checked it out. There was some amazing jewelry and so many cool gifts. I ended up getting my BF a t-shirt with a cat's head on it that says 'Who's laughing Meow'. (You just have to see it.) The shirt was for his birthday and we had walked by it and laughed so many times. I ended up using the shirt in a birthday scavenger hunt I organized. The staff at Co-Star was extremely helpful! I had the shirt waiting for him, as well as his next clue. It made for such a fun birthday. Thank you very much to Libby especially!!! All in all Co-Star is totally rad. My Boyfriend says this is his NEW Favorite Store in Austin. He loves all the lines and I have been in with him a few times and he always finds something he just can't live with out. The staff is very friendly and always have great suggestions for him. His favorite sales staff is TAYLOR and I have to agree with him on that. She is very pleasant and always seem happy to help. I bought some pants the first time I went in and unfortunately they ripped in several places and I was very upset but when I went back to voice my concerns, Taylor was there and she gladly exchanged them out and gave me store credit. I love Co Star! I own many of the hilarious graphic tees, and get compliments all the time. They also have a great denim selection. The staff is super friendly and helpful remembering me by name, offering me beer/water, and invitations to trunk shows and holiday events all the time.
