We had over 10 contacts with Bakkers only to be put off throughout the winter. Come spring, we were put off 3 more times. I contacted Bayliner for assistance and miraculously received a call the next day that Bakker's was ordering parts, and they will contact us in a week. Crickets. I gave them 3 weeks (in case of slow delivery) before calling for status of recall repair. I got the run around again with attempts to blame others for miscommunication. final answer from Bakker's was that Bayliner took account away. this left me back to starting all over again to find a dealership that could take care of the recall. I would NEVER use this business again. In fact, after to speaking to others, I don't know how they stay in business. I have read the other negative yelp reviews and they are all consistent with my experience. While purchasing a boat there may be an OK experience, don't deal with them after that!

When I spoke to the owner about this his only concern was the bad reviews he was getting over how he was handling the sale of this boat. His name is Nick and the female salesperson is Marie. I would not do business with them ever now. and it stinks too because they had other boats i may have been interested in.

I called A & D and spoke to Pete who said it was no problem and he would fit me in since I was only there a short time. Pete and Mike were a pleasure to work with and helped out with a bunch of little things like my missing fuel cap, they found a replacement for no additional charge. These guys did a great job getting my boat running and cleaned up. After the boat was in the water I took my 40 year old trailer to them to replace the rollers and the dry-rotted tires. Again they did a fantastic job and I can't say enough nice things about the work and how I was treated. Whenever I am near the Wallenpaupack area that is where I will take my boat for any kind of service. I might even make the 2 hour drive up from home because the service was that good! - Dean

The outboard was only a 50 however, but with only 2 adults and 2 children on board it wasn't terribly underpowered. Pricing was competitive for the area. The marina was a bit tight but nothing I haven't seen before. There is very little traffic around their cove which makes for a quick departure and docking. I like that it's at the end of the lake which gives you an opportunity to do a full stretch without a lot of backtracking. The store was fully stocked with bait and tackle. This was one of the best boat rental experiences I've had in years and I would absolutely use them again.

I like to go for the fishing boat with motor because I don't want to paddle or pay too much but there are different options depending on what your doing. I would have preferred to make a reservation but the rentals are on first come, first serve basis so make sure you get there early. I wasn't sure how long I wanted the boat for so they let me book 2 hours and then settle up when I got back. I was a little nervous because the boat didn't tell me how deep the water was beneath me, but we didn't get stuck so it's all good. I was happy I brought my radio. I did get lost a little but was able to pull up a map on my phone. They have a lot of fishing equipment for you to buy as well. I had to take a "safety course" to be able to rent the boat but it didn't take long and wasn't a big deal. They didn't even give me a hard time about crashing into the wall on my way out. The steering took a little to get used to, especially in reverse. The first time I was here, I dropped the anchor in the water but it wasn't tied to the boat so it just dropped to the bottom.
