The location is further in the line of rentals so keep driving in until you get there. The staff will direct you and drive you to your drop-off location depending on how long you're floating for. Tubes are available for rent with or without bottoms. You want bottoms! Your butt will thank you later. Even if you bring your own tube you still need to pay, so sometimes it's best just to rent from them. I haven't been camping yet, but definitely recommend the river tube rentals.

We booked a treehouse cabin and immediately noticed standing water around the cabin, including the fire pit. The area was clearly saturated, unlike neighboring cabins, which suggests a water leak nearby. The cabin itself was as expected, though the top bunk wasn't made. The TV wasn't connected to the internet or streaming apps, and the guest Wi-Fi signal was poor. We tried troubleshooting ourselves and called for support, but no one came until much later, and even then, it wasn't fully fixed. Accessing streaming services required using a personal account, which shouldn't have been necessary. Food and beverage were another disappointment. The filling station ran out of pizza and many other products, including bottled water. The staff said they might restock, but several guests left in frustration. When we ordered, mozzarella sticks arrived with no sauce, and soda refills weren't available, even though these are basic amenities. Coffee stands were inconsistently managed--cups weren't provided for free coffee unless you bought a souvenir cup, and then the free coffee suddenly wasn't free at all. Even higher-up food stands were closed during the day, limiting convenient options. The pool and water slides were closed due to a heater issue, which was frustrating since we planned to use them. We did make the most of the other attractions, including the zipline, which was exhilarating, though my leg strap came undone halfway down--over 100 feet off the ground. The staff at the bottom checked in on me several times, which was appreciated, but it was still a scary moment. We tried multiple times to get the TV issue addressed. Eventually, a tech came by, but the problem remained. The network setup seemed unnecessarily complicated, with one TV hardwired and still not functioning properly. We were offered a discount or a new cabin for the inconvenience, and we moved for the evening to have our own bathroom, but the experience felt like a series of small failures stacked together. Overall, it was extremely frustrating dealing with product shortages, inconsistent service, and amenities not functioning during peak spring break. Standing water, incomplete cabin preparation, unreliable Wi-Fi and TV, food shortages, and closed pools made the experience more stressful than relaxing. We might return in the future, but it's not a high priority compared to local alternatives that offer reliable service and amenities. Also, $10 for a 42-second ride clip seems excessive and felt like a cash grab.

After three brief encounters with Jeff the manager I have decided to write a review. First…read moreencounter with Jeff was when we paid to launch our boat at there private access where he came down in his personal truck after we launched and told us the game warden would see us soon because our boat is "highly illegal". We explained to Jeff that the boat wasn't illegal and that we had already spoke with the game warden about the legalities of running our boat on the river. Jeff then mentioned that he was the manager for Huaco Springs. Our second encounter with Jeff was when he was out on the water in the same area we were fishing, Jeff then told us again that our boat was "highly illegal" . I explained the same thing to him again as the first encounter, where I was told that I would be paid a visit from the game warden again and now the sheriff would be involved. We returned this morning to fish again and after getting off the water, we had our third encounter with Jeff the manager of Huaco Springs. At this point Jeff had talked to the sheriff and game warden, Jeff was told by both authorities that the boat was perfectly legal to be on the water. So after the game warden and sheriff didn't work, Jeff made the decision after we've launched are over the boat three times, we are no longer allowed to pay to use the ramp there. Jeff was harassing us while we fished because he fished there and didn't like our boat. As a New Braunfels local, I will be sure and spread the word the fishing community that Jeff and Huaco Springs will discriminate at the managers discretion. There are multiple other outfitters up and down the river that will allow access for all boats not just the Jeff the manager that doesn't know the laws of the river and harasses people while they are fishing.

This made it more tricky driving in and out. We have a class C, probably would be a real task with a pull trailer. Remember this is the Hill Country. Yes, there is a train going by every few hours but the grandkids loved that, didn't bother me. The office lady was Pleasant. I did encounter a cantankerous security guard in a golf cart. Stopped me to tell me to put the tag in my window, well duh, give me a chance, we just drove in. This must be the guy others are commenting on. But the man has a job to do.

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin, with a loft. Things we liked: the fan in the living area, full kitchen, the beds were comfy, friendly staff, ability to rent a golf cart, laundry area, playground and pool! Things that could be improved: thorough cleaning after a pet stay (I'm very allergic to cat/dog dander and stayed in the loft with my toddler and if I didn't have socks on my allergies were BAD due to the carpet), a few pieces on trim kept falling off by the door(which normally I wouldn't care but my curious toddler kept touching the exposed nails), no blinds in the loft and shower is SHORT (I'm 5'4" and was bending down to wash my hair). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I could see how it could be loud for some people, but our cabin was on the non-highway side so we had a quiet and peaceful trip. We would definitely stay here again next time, just in a bigger cabin!

My older daughter braved the cold and played in the water playground and loved the water slides. We would consider coming back and renting a cabin.
