The price was right and we had a good time. Landa RV campground is centrally located, with easy access to Comal River Toobing and Schlitterbahn. The showers are delightfully new and clean with plenty of hot water. There was some major construction work with heavy machinery at front entrance, so had to deduct a star for not informing us. This made it more tricky driving in and out. We have a class C, probably would be a real task with a pull trailer. Remember this is the Hill Country. Yes, there is a train going by every few hours but the grandkids loved that, didn't bother me. The office lady was Pleasant. I did encounter a cantankerous security guard in a golf cart. Stopped me to tell me to put the tag in my window, well duh, give me a chance, we just drove in. This must be the guy others are commenting on. But the man has a job to do. read more

The tent sites are pure gravel and rocks. No grass whatsoever. The one bathhouse is absolutely horrible. Although the second bath house has been remodeled (and actually looks very nice). the heat vent is disgusting. I have no idea is they have AC or heat. No sure how that thing could actually work. The train tracks run directly through the campground so it's constant trains all day and all NIGHT!. No one answers emails or the phones. Although the tent sites are pretty bc they are on the river there is almost nothing else about this campground that I would recommend. Definitely would never go back. read more

I recommend you avoid this place at all costs. The staff here is more concerned with showing their authority than customer service. They could care less how you feel as long as you acknowledge they are in control of you. After floating the River we took a Lyft back. They made us walk back from the entrance barefoot, because Lyft "isn't allowed in the park". I mean what, does the guy own a taxi company? read more

The employees are super rude . After an encounter with the office I was chased down by a golf cart . To my surprise it was the owner . I wanted to deliver a cup of coffee to my sister who had just checked in . They made me pay 2 dollars just to walk into the park . I paid then I was informed they would charge me $10 to park my car outside of the entry . I moved my car and was chased down by the owner .I told him this was the most unfriendly staff I had ever encountered. He then told me to get off his property. My sister came to my defense, then he kicked her out as well . We moved her to the very nice New Braunfels R V park . There we were treated very well . The workers here are EXTREMELY rude. There is no room for error in their eyes. Best advice find another location. A vacation/staycation should NOT have people like that in it even if it's just check in or in passing. read more

Terrible and aggressive employees, ran me down in his golf cart for going a couple miles over the speed limit, I asked him "what did you clock me at officer" he said I was doing at least 10mph, I laughed and I told him I might have hit 7mph (I'm the one with the speedometer in their vehicle) the place is trashy and hires ex cons as security lol. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO STAY AT, The tiny guy(scott) in the golf cart always has an attitude and doesn't know how speak to anyone correctly, he was very rude. the office staff (kristi) is also rude, They didn't treat our friend right and it seems to me they are a little racist... Update: From bad, to outright horrible. The so called "camp host" riding around on a golf cart will constantly harass you and your guests. This place used to be a fun hidden gem, however over the course of several stays, it seems to be getting worse and worse. The bathroom are filthy, the RV campsites are ridiculous, the layout of the whole park is just a mess. I suggest booking at other RV parks in the area, this one is just so poorly managed. read more

My son & I have been coming to Landa RV Park for almost 4 years. We've brought several of our friends and a couple family members here to camp. This is one of the best places to camp/float the Comal River. We always try to get a riverside campsite to make rolling out of bed and falling in the river easier on hot summer days. Bottom line: * Tube rental is on site. * Shuttle service is included in tube rental, which runs till about 7/8pm in the summer. * Campsites are maintained and are getting better since new management has come into play * Restrooms w/ showers are for campers/RV's only * There is a laundry facility on site * Free WiFi * Longest Comal River float Big bonus: Close enough to WurstFest to camp/RV and walk to the fairgrounds. ATTN: For those planning on camping with a tent! We went there this weekend to tent camp this weekend and were surprised to find out that the tent camping grounds are pretty much on rock/gravel/chalk dust. The RV spots on the river looked pretty appealing, but the tent camping spots had nothing. There was no water hookups and no picnic table, it was literally on the road. We had to park our car on the road in front of our tent to make sure we didn't get run over by in the middle of the night. The staff, especially Toby, were very friendly. The rainbow hair girl that works the front desk didn't seem very friendly, but she wasn't unfriendly either, just more inattentive. read more

The Landa RV Park needs a lot of updates. This place is old as dirt. Speaking of dirt there is plenty of it here! I was surprised to see the roads the trailer pads and basically everything was dirt!!!! Not happy about this place at all I should have went to KOA! We have been coming here for years with our family with zero complaints. I don't know what has happened but the employees here were absolutely terrible, rude, and aggressive. Every day/night we were there the guys on the golf cart had to cause an issue in some way. Great spot to get in the river but the "security guard" at the front gate is a total ASSHOLE! He was very inconsiderate when I had to drive my friend to his car! This park has made many improvements since the last time time we've been here. The bathroom and showers are great. A new Laundry area and best of all the trains are not blaring their horns all night long. The river is fun as always and Landa is a great place to start. Rented some tubes here to go down the Comal River. My first time tubing! We went in September so it wasn't too cold or hot. It was nice just to drink, snack and just relax down the river. There are some rough parts though, so beware! My boyfriend lost his glasses down one of the drops. I wouldn't bring anything valuable with you unless it was secured onto you. At the end of the river, you can take a shuttle back and there are showers on site. read more

This place is just "okay". It's not a party spot at night, which I like. They seem to have some regulars who stay here long term. If you have your own tube, you can put in and do a 20 minute float without leaving the RV park. If you want to do a longer float, Landa Tubes will not let you use your own tube. Like the others said, there is a train that passes through often (3-4 times in the night). It can be comforting or get on your nerves. There is plenty of protection from the tracks if you have little ones. RV lots are mostly gravel. Saturdays can get crazy because this place is also tube rental and they let people park inside the gate (near entrance). read more

Amazing spot. It's quite, peaceful, and clean. Management was very courteous. You also have the longest river float from the campsite. The tube rentals are very reasonably priced. People have mentioned the train but it not even noticeable since they don't blow the horn. I would recommend this site to anyone. read more

We spent 2 nights here and loved it! We wished we had more time. I called the day before and had not problem getting a reservation. We had some business in town that we needed to tend to and didn't want to pull our trailer around town while doing it so we asked if we could check in early. They had no problem with that. We checked in, it set up and left for several hours. We were surprised during our stay at how very quiet the campground was. After reading many reviews for other river campgrounds about the noise level I was happy that it was quiet for us. The campground was clean. Our space (501) was excellent. When my partner was walking to the bathroom he was asked by someone if was a guest here. While some people don't like that, we do. It let's us know they aren't letting random people run around who could be stealing stuff. We appreciate a little security. I would have given this place 5 stars but the bathrooms could use some work. It was clean enough but the curtains could stand to be replaced and also while I was in the shower the light went off leaving me fumbling in the dark. I was glad I wasn't in there at night! We would definitely stay here again...most definitely in the off season. read more

If your dream of a prime vacation spot is one where a main railroad freight line runs right through the middle of the property day and night, then look no further. Lights blazing, bells ringing, the whole nine yards. To be fair, they do have a number of sites right on the Comal river, but we didn't get one of those. Be cautious where you stay. I also have to agree with a previous post from Jr. T. On site management was downright rude and seemed bothered by our arrival. My sense is, based on a rather brief stay, is that this park is for older long term locals that just want a "quiet life". Wonderful location and beautiful riverfront RV sites. However, I was incredibly disappointed in the customer service and hospitality displayed by their grounds keeper (gentleman that rides around in the golf cart). He harassed my wife and I our first evening, regarding a parking pass for an additional family vehicle...which we paid for promptly. He then harassed my family that came to visit, using words to describe them as trespassers, because they had parked in the business parking lot after hours and walked to our campsite. A very basic and accidental misunderstanding. Again, corrected immediately. Routinely berating paid customers with angry rash remarks, demanding immediate compliance is not appropriate. His temper was absolutely received as childish and rude. As a professional that manages a staff of over 150+ employees and deals with customer satisfaction, I would recommend retraining or termination for the employee. Unfortunately, poor customer service earns our visit a single star. read more

Been going to Landa R.V. Park for over 10 years now. We showed up and they told old $10 to go all day as many times as we want down the river. We get back after our first trip and the manager Scott was very rude and knew nothing about customer service. He told us that his employees did not tell us that even though we had a group of 15 say the exact same thing. He didn't not want to tell us anything about going and paying $5 more for on more ride down. He just wanted to tell us how we were wrong and was very rude the entire time. In my opinion to be a manager for 5 years he has zero customer service and doesn't care that he loses a customer that has been coming for 10 years and brought 15 people with him. Will never be back again due to the manager named Scott. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Firstly I wanted to say the staff here is very accommodating. I got lost on the way from Houston and I was concerned I wouldn't make it in time but the receptionist assured me that they would be here to let us in. We wound up making it with ten minutes to spare but regardless that was nice of them. The campsite itself was perfect, tucked under a willow tree with a perfect view and access of the Comal. Not only were our neighbors great on both sides but everyone was very respectful of one another's property and space. The town was just a short drive up the hill and around the corner from the campsite. The wait to be picked up from the river after floating it down to the end of the Comal was brief and the bus drivers were funny. There was a train that ran through from time to time at night but that doesn't bother me. I will however, one day make sure the rooster that patrols the grounds and crows at dawn will one day happen be standing in front of it. I can live without being woken at the crack of dawn on my vacation! :p read more

THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER go to Landa RV Park and campground in New Braunfels. We haven't been tent camping in years and wanted the kids to experience it. We made and PAID for our reservations in advance and the site was assigned. Today, we get back to our site from the river to be told the site we had was assigned to someone else and we needed to move. Anyone who has been tent camping with children knows you don't just pick up stakes and move 3 sites down. I tried asking the guy why we should be the ones to move since we too had paid and were already here and it was their error. He kept raising his voice and began threatening me. We decided to pack up and leave. BE FORE WARNED! THIS PLACE HAS APPARENTLY DONE THIS BEFORE FROM WHAT I AM SEEING ON THE BLOGS! This does not deserve a star! read more

Passing through in our motorhome & needed a place to stay the night. Office staff extremely friendly & helpful. Can't beat the price for a pull through with full hook ups & room enough for our 40' RV & tow vehicle. We had a lovely dinner at Alpine Haus German Restaurant just a short drive from the park. We didn't use the facilities as we were just there for the night, but we were grateful for having a good place to stay. read more

This campground is in much need of repairs & some TLC. It also has a train that passes over about every 20-30 minutes which can be annoying. Contrary to what the website says the train does blow it's whistle periodically & it is extremely loud. Not a place I would recommend!! read more
