I ordered an iced latte with Brazilian and macadamia milk. Was very pleased with the drinks flavor. My daughter ordered an iced matcha with strawberry (pictured) and my son really was surprised how much he liked his chilled can of lavender honey vanilla, I think it was, Cold Brew. It seems they also offer a lot of specialty homemade juice and coffee drinks. It was late mid morning, but there was a decent size crowd. I don't get why there's a no outdoor food/drink policy. Starbucks doesn't care so why do they? I brought in an outdoor drink and was told immediately that wasn't allowed. I felt bad enough to buy a muffin, even though I didn't want one. I'd rather support Starbucks than this business. I want to relax and connect with people, when I go out to restaurants or businesses. I wouldn't come back for the vibes or the food. I'll be meeting friends at Starbucks next time.

My go-to is an iced White Chocolate Mocha w/ activated charcoal which makes for a cool looking gray colored drink and not only gives me the boost of caffeine but I also enjoy the detoxing properties of the activated charcoal. Not a lot of coffee places carry activated charcoal which brings me back to Thomas Hammer on a frequent basis. I also enjoy that TH carries wellness shots. Although the shots are pricey ($4) and taste of strong ginger, I buy one when I get sick and it helps me to recover faster. I do wish that they took Apple Pay considering the rest of campus does. I also wish TH had a rewards system like every other local coffee shop, you would think they would with all of their competition. This place is definitely set up for studying with plenty of seats and tables for laptops. if I were a student, I'd be here all the time. Parking is no problem as the parking lot is large with an adjacent Safeway lot. There are usually a number of EWU students working here as it is within walking distance of campus (just!). In the summer there is a nice outside patio area. They do not have a clover machine here. The coffee is, as expected, just right. The baristas are as efficient as they were last time we were here. If you want to enjoy the coffee experience, this Starbucks will fit the bill.

I've seen alot of negative reviews on here and felt I should share my experience. This took place…read moreabout a month ago, just to give an accurate time frame. I had my 1 and 2 year old with me while I was shopping and things were going pretty smoothly. We got everything on my list (plus some), and stopped by the deli for something to munch on. The lady behind the counter was very sweet and patient, she interacted with my kiddos, and filled our order without delay. My check out process went smoothly with a checker who was very nice and laughed at my mom humor. Upon loading up kids and unloading my cart, I realized that there were a few items that did NOT make it through checkout. One of the employees saw me heading back with the cart and offered to take it back. I told him he didn't need to worry about it because I was going back in to pay for things I had missed, but he kindly insisted, so I let him. Once inside, I see the that there is a line of 6 people ahead of me at the one open checkout stand. I'm a little concerned because my kids are out in the car and I was hoping to be quick. But I was waiting. Then that same employee who took my cart opened up a second checkout stand for me so I could checkout (knowing my kid situation). It was the sweetest thing and greatly appreciated. I feel bad for those who had bad experiences with Mitchell employees, but all of mine have been pleasant. Thanks employees! Sorry I don't remember your names.
