Wonderful place to get coffee and pastries while looking at beautiful art. This place has a good setting and chill vibes. Great for meet ups and to get some computer work done. It has a featured artist every month, with art for sale by the artist. If you're looking for a new meetup or place to get away, try out F1rst Avenue Coffee. This month's featured artist is Brooklyn Art.

This might be home of the best vegan doughnut at any coffee shop! Their vanilla cashmere was also a fantastic drink! The service is super friendly and the ambiance is very modern and nice.

Staff - super nice and helpful. Coffee art was so beautiful. Love the atmosphere. Large windows and lighting, a little loft , big community table. Love the unique seasonal coffee options for those seeking for adventure :) Feedback- wish the coffee was not lukewarm. They left the drip coffee unattended for 15 mins. We should have asked them to heat it up.

I stumbled upon this INCREDIBLE coffee shop, thanks to Yelp! My colleagues and I were in town for work. We were looking for a place to grab coffee and ended up at F1rstAvenue. Inside, you'll immediately notice how spacious this shop is. They even have a second floor loft-style work-study, lounge area over looking the first floor. In addition to a diverse menu of coffee and tea, they offer bakery items. Their in-house bakery is dedicated to serving gluten-free, vegan, and keto goodies -- we ordered their gluten free donut and a savory egg, cheese and pesto sandwich. You order at the counter and then find a spot to enjoy your drinks and food. The team members were professional and friendly. If you're looking for a coffee shop in Spokane, look no further than F1rst Avenue Coffee!

Gluten free heaven! Gf and vegan donuts and gf biscuits? Sign me up! I ordered the gf pecan maple donut and the savory biscuit. Both hit the spot and were delicious, you can barely tell they are gluten free. The service was prompt and helpful. While I took my order to go there is loads of seating and it looks like a great place to post up and work. Also got the Gingerbread Latte which was the perfect amount of spicy and sweet.

Loved the pour over options! Delicious coffee! It's rare to see a large pourover selection, and this place has about 5 or more of them! Their lattes and other coffee options are also good too. I also got the loaded biscuit. I usually don't like biscuits, but i truly do like theirs. Perfect savory breakfast. Plenty of seating. Really cool upstairs seating as well. Friendly servers. Quick service. Overall, way better than Starbucks.

I love this coffee house! Great vibe, ambience. Close to shopping and dining. I always get the keto donut - very good. I absolutely love their Cafe Sevilla - an orange cappuccino with steamed milk. My friend was with me last time and had a grilled cheese/pesto sandwich. She gave it the thumbs up - lots of "yums". Ample seating for groups or just on your own. Great place to read a book or relax and enjoy good conversation with friends. You can purchase bags of their coffee and there is a gift area as well. 10 out of 10 - highly recommend.

From floating instruments to art pieces you can buy, this place just has a good vibe. It has a lot of really cool merch to but when you walk in and breakfast items as well! They make their coffee fresh, with an extensive menu of drinks and pastries. If you love starbucks, this might not be your spot because this isn't quick and easy coffee The drinks may not look pretty, but that's not to say they're not good! I got the Maple Brown Sugar latte and my husband got a caramel latte and they both were great! Plus we got a coffee cake and a chocolate chip cookie and that was the real star. I loved my coffee cake, it was warm and soft but his cookie...wasn't really my favorite tbh Now, the thing is, I'm not really a coffee person--I'm more of a Red Bull girlie. But this place came highly recommended, so I had to give it a try! Honestly, the coffee was really good! It wasn't too strong, but it wasn't too sweet either. They make it exactly how you want it, even if you're a Keurig coffee drinker like me! But the star of the whole experience was really the coffee cake! It was warm, kinda just crumbled, and tasted freshly baked. Overall, if you're a coffee lover, you'd love this place! If you're a Starbucks lover, this menu might not have the creativity you're used to, but it's definitely worth a try. We paid $16 for everything, and I'd give it a solid 4 stars :)

I'm in love with First Ave. (I think of the Minneapolis music venue when I say that). But let's talk about coffee. When they say damn good coffee they mean it. This coffee is Agent Cooper "damn fine good". But I don't drink mine black as midnight on a moonless night....I do like a little room. The moment you roll up you'll be greeted by lovely staff to brighten your day. The bar is huge and you can belly up to enjoy your potion. They have coffee. Teas. Golden milk. Matcha. Even sparlking Rishi tea drinks from my former city of Milwaukee. Hello Wisconsin. The space is open and bright. It has an adorable loft as well. Lots of swanky lighting and wood tables. Let's talk about Roast House coffee because that's what they serve and it's so amazing. Sustainability is their priority and that's why they focus on the farmers. And they don't want you to drink nasty ass chemicals. Roast House deserves me to write them their own review but just know their coffee is sold and brewed here. My lattes and cortados are always perfect. Espresso pulled heavenly and the milk steamed to the proper temperature that leaves it to marry the Espresso in perfect bliss. They don't have soy milk. Many places have gone away for many reasons but I still prefer organic soy milk over the other alternatives. This is topic for in person discussions I sub oatmilk and it gets the job done. I can tell the barista care. And that's important to me. Oh and did I mention the treats. Yes. Divine and delicious house made treats. That coffee cake is epic. Biscuits with eggs baked right inside. What? They also have so much swag. From fun coffee mugs to cute winter chooks....or as y'all call them here in the greater PNW....beanies. C'mon y'all. Get in here.

I've tried F1rst Ave about 3 times now and their coffee is just okay which is unfortunate since I love their ethical practices! They make their syrups in house which I also love so much, I just wish they were more flavorful for the price point. There is a drop in space for those with wfh and even a large meeting area. Their pastries are what I go for though! And their associates are kind and very friendly. I'll stop in to try a few more flavors but for now they're sitting at a 3 for me.

AMBIANCE Parking: Downtown parking is downtown parking thus requiring some patience. There is some street parking and garage parking nearby. Seating: Inside seating, plenty of cozy nooks and tables, with room for about 40-50 people. Vibes: You gotta love Spokane. A growing town but a small town feel. The spot itself feels like a love letter to books and community with that old soul essence. You walk in and your senses are welcomed from the aroma of coffee and the hustle and bustle of employees and customers moving around. One side you'll see the cafe but a good portion is a lot of shelves with books and gifts. A very stimulating space, great place to study or get work done. CAFES & RETAILS Cold Brew - Hazelnut (Recommend) They have these house brews with selective flavors. I got a staple hazelnut that provided a nice nutty earthy feel. The coffee was strong as it kept me up for a busy day. Retails (Recommend) I didn't get anything but if my luggage had room I probably totally would have. Great range of books and creative thoughtful gifts (bookmarks, candles, and trinkets). CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. The staff contributes to the warm atmosphere and makes the space feel approachable. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, cozy vibes, and a sense of community that makes you want to stay awhile. Atticus isn't just a coffee shop but a neighborly space that brings the locals and visitors together. If you're in Spokane and need a place to relax, come through! I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.

Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.

There is a small space to sit that is primarily within the business, but plenty of room in the shared space if you are looking for a place to extend your visit. I asked the barista some questions and noticed that he was meticulously measuring coffee grounds by weight and tamping with precision. He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. The chai is sourced from a small business in Bend. It was a perfectly spiced blend. The espresso was smooth and flavorful. It was so delicious I went back for another the next day. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.

It was fairly busy when we came in, but there was no line at the counter, and it didn't take long for our drinks to come out. There's plenty of seating inside, and everybody seems in a good mood and everybody seems like they're having a good time. They were also baking some kind of bread, and it just smelled absolutely incredible. Although I didn't have any. They also do this thing where they give people... At least certain people... Free coffee. Which I thought was really cool and really generous of them. So why four stars instead of five? And this isn't exactly their fault, but parking sucks. It's street parking, there's a meter, there is a lot but it's confusing and the rules are confusing. So if you're walking from somewhere else this place is great, if you're driving in to meet for coffee it's a little bit annoying, if you just want to stop in and get something to go, it's going to be a big hassle. But would definitely be back.
