Fun time! The owner is super friendly and helpful. I think the jeep rental was worth the money in the end, 4 hours is plenty of time. We ended up deviating a bit from his recommended route because my husband was looking for more extreme off-roading. The usual routes are pretty tame, gravely but smooth, so if you're a beginner it will be easy. The main lookout point is really special, not like any of the views you get hiking or driving around otherwise. read more

We rented their jeep for the afternoon. Great off-road experience with a reliable GPS-based maps app and detailed guidance from the owners before heading out. The sceneries at the edges of these off-road trails were spectacular. We had a dog that does not shed so were able to get an exception to take the dog along with us in the jeep. He loved the ride too ! We stuck to their plan (to stay out of trouble) and it took us a good 4 hrs to complete the trip and return the Jeep. Overall, Great way to spend an afternoon. read more

So much fun! First, Carrie is very helpful, kind, and personable. She made booking, picking up, and dropping off the jeep as easy as could be. You are required to download an app that shows you exactly where you can go. This app is amazing and really puts your mind at peace on getting lost. I have never gone off-roading before. 6 stars!! I can't recommend this business enough. Took a shot at this adventure with my travel group. We were able to rent a jeep for four hours same day. The owner Russel was responsive, courteous, friendly, and very professional. His trail recommendations were incredible. We thought we might drive up a few random trails through Broken Bow but decided to follow his advice instead. We were able to make some incredible memories in a short amount of time and the views were epic....like straight out of a movie kind of epic. It was the complete package! Anyone new to off-roading should give it a shot. Russel walked us through every step and even personally coordinated a safe way for us to get back to our cabin when our transportation plans fell through. They walk you through the trail app, provide clean helmets for all riders, give you suggestions for a great ride, and even help you get the trailer attached to your vehicle. We had the most AMAZING day on the backroads on the Teryx UTV we rented through Captain's Hideaway. Their customer service is awesome! Off Road Trail Driving in Quachita National Forrest and Trails was at the Top of our list with our visit to Broken Bow. The provider of our Jeep beat all expectations to make sure we enjoyed it. The information related to the vehicle and what to expect on the trails was detailed and friendly with an emphasis on safety. We rented 3 Polaris Rangers for a full day of trails in Broken Bow, OK; Carrie, the owner, was super helpful and gave us a great map of the trails that gives GPS directions. Highly disappointed in this place. While in broken bow we called repeatedly trying to make a reservation for a jeep rental. We even texted their phone number trying to get ahold of someone. When we got no answers or calls back we visited their office front only to find a sign saying to call or text them. Terrible service. Would not count on using their rentals. read more

The place is easy to spot right off the highway as you come into Hochatown. Our kids really wanted an ATV experience. We gave them a call as we were heading into town and they suggested that we stop in and sign all the waivers and insurance details. We also fitted our helmets which are included and required for kids. The next day, we headed up to Captains Hideaway early, hooked up the trailer that was waiting for us, and drove to the forest. The trail app worked great and we had an awesome, dirty four hour drive in a nearly brand new 4 person TeRyx!! read more
